On Tap

I’m in the final stretch of edits and should be pressing “send” by the end of business today (yay!).

So today’s post is an easy one. What are you reading? Enjoying/not enjoying?

Monday Morning Forecast

I finished my latest book on Saturday. If you heard a really loud thump at around 6 o’clock eastern time that day, that was me…falling over in exhaustion.

Today (and likely tomorrow) is an extensive read and edit session. I was supposed to start this phase yesterday, but by the time a window of opportunity opened in which to start it, I had no juice left–none, zip, nada.

I guess you could say, I hit the wall. Unfortunately, I’m not done until I press “send” to I need to rah-rah myself back int...

Random Bits of Random

Bits time. And today, they are really, really random… Put on your thinking caps and you should be able to know what I’m talking about (hint: current topics). :)

1) Was four games enough/too much?

2) Longer work weeks/shorter work weeks/the same?

3) Art, gym and music for school kids/just academics?

And now for one completely random…

4) Salted or unsalted?

How To

If you were asked to write one how-to, what would yours be?

If You Could…

Some questions for you today…

1) If you could go anywhere you wanted for the day, where would you go?

2) If you could go back and listen more intently to something, what would it be?

3) If you could invite any three living people to a special dinner at your house, who would you choose and why?

4) If you could invite any three deceased people to a special dinner at your house, who would you choose and why?

Mother’s Day Recap

I spent my Mother’s Day at the beach. We had beautiful weather (although now we’re all burned–ugh!) and a really nice day.

How was Mother’s Day celebrated in your home this year?

Summer Bits

It’s finally starting to really warm up outside and so my thoughts are turning to summer.

1) Ice cream sandwich or bowl of ice cream?

2) Hamburger or hot dog?

3) flip flops or sandals?

4) One must-do every summer?

That Character

I’m starting chapter 17 today…

(I need to be pounding it out right now)

Trying not to resort to candy corn just yet, but that’s coming soon, I’m sure.

In the meantime, a writing-related question for all of you: Is there a fictional character that has moved you to tears? Or solicited anger from you?

If so, who?

Carrot Time

I’m getting into a bit of a time crunch with the book I’m currently writing. Simply put, there will be a lot of long nights and candy corn in my immediate future.

Which means I need to come up with a carrot to hang in front of me as I move through the next week and a half.

A day trip to the city, perhaps?

A day at the beach?

A whole day of reading?

Hmmm… I think I just gave myself three carrots. :)

What serves as an incentive when you need to get something done?
