Dreamin’ Q & A
Here’s a few “dreamer” questions for all of you today…
1) If you could learn to play one instrument (that you can’t already play), what would it be and why?
2) If you could go back to school, what subject would you want to study and why?
3) If you could relive ONE day in your life (exactly the way it was the first time), what day would it be?
Can’t wait to read your answers!

Edible Bits
Not sure if it’s because I just started a new book, or because my daughter is in the kitchen baking cookies while I’m writing this, but I’m feeling food-related bits (with one exception)today. And yes, the food ones are kind of focused on cookies…
1) Favorite store-bought cookie?
2) Favorite homemade cookie?
3) Favorite beverage?
4) Is spring ever going to come?

Day One: The Blank Page
I’m starting on a new book today. It’s a point I’ve been at many times, yet one that never loses its pull. To go from a completely blank document to one that will, eventually have around 300 double-spaced typewritten pages is kind of exciting. I’d like to be able to tell you I know every single thing that will happen along the way, but I can’t.
I know the basics, and even some of the twists (I can’t even start writing until I know who, why, and viable suspects)…butthe conversations and poignan...

Snapshots From The Road
For the most part, I love doing book signings. Sure, there are a few clunkers on occasion (bad weather affects response, as does really gorgeous weather), but they’re usually fun.
My annual signing (this time, with SUSPENDERED SENTENCE)in Lititz, PA, though, is always super special. I suppose some of that comes from being in the general vicinity of the area in which my Amish Mysteries are set. But even more than that is the opportunity to see faces I’ve come to recognize returning again and a...

Bits
I’m off to my favorite signing of the year this evening. The fact that it’s for SUSPENDERED SENTENCE makes it even more fun (love that book). The cherry on the top, though, is knowing that at least 3 of the fans I’ve gotten to know via Facebook are planning on coming. Signings are always full of new faces…but these I will kind of know. I’ve talked to them lots via the internet and it will be fun to meet them in person!
For now, though, it’s bits time!
1) Is there a song that instantly makes y...
Q & A…But We Need Some Q’s.
Sorry I’m a wee late this morning. I got home on the late-ish side last night from an event that was about a1 1/2 hour drive away.
So today I’m going to open it up to questions (process of writing, this book journey, authors I’ve met, whatever).
Give me some good ones and I’ll answer them in the comments.

If you exercise on a daily orevery-other-day basis, what is it that you do?

For Your Reading Pleasure…
Most of my reading the last week has been one of two things; 1) MS related stuff at the Summit I just attended in DC and 2) Reviews and/or blogson SUSPENDERED SENTENCE.
Since it’s “Reading Tuesday” around here, I thought I’d point you towards some quick, yet interesting (I hope) reading.
This first one is a guest post of mine over at Fresh Fiction. It kinds of talks about how a story gets started in my brain. You can find that post HERE.
The second is a Q & A I did forBerkley Prime Crime (Pengui...
