Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
Who knows your name?
It is nice when someone knows and calls you by your name; but not everyone will. Never addressed by her name, but only as "my slave" or "your slave" (Genesis 16:2, 5-6), was Hagar. Despite the address, she knew that someone knew her name, because she saw The One who saw her (see 16:13) and asked: "Hagar, slave of Sarai, where have you come from, and where are you going?" (16:8). So, instead of worrying about who and how many know your name, might you consider seeking The One who does know and cares enough to want to. #WellKnown & #Recognized

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
How rebellious are you?
Whether it be a sob, whimper or wail, He hears and knows what each of them mean; and when they are intended for him to hear, he wants "to be gracious" and "show [you] compassion" (Isaiah 30:18). But, if you do not turn to Him, "when you cry for help" (30:19), like His people did (see 30:1-7), He will not offer any, unless it is through cries of repentance and belief (see 30:8-26) and . So, in everything, might you seek Him, as He will hear and respond to your every cry. #ToBeLoyal & #Obedient

Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
How do you face your fears?
If in danger, fear, a survival skill, kicks in to protect, alert and prepare you. But, if your fear is causing you to worry, panic or be anxious, then you might seek someone who can provide you with the confidence that you need to overcome it. May that someone you consider be the Him. For "when the Lord is with [you], [you] will not be afraid" (Psalm 118:6). #FearNot❤️

How compassionate are you?
Needs exists, even in ourselves; and when we notice and act on them we can ease the suffering. Jesus noticed and acted on behalf of "a great crowd, and...had compassion on them and healed their sick" (Matthew 14:14). So, might you too consider "[clothing yourself] with compassion" (Colossians 3:12) and see what it can do for others as well as yourself. #EaseTheSuffering & #BeKindToYourselfAndOthers

Where do you go to find answers to your questions?
There is no better comfort than to have someone that you can go to and help you find the answers that you need. Such was the case with Jesus' disciples, as they relied heavily on Him for answers. Right before Jesus was crucified, He assured them that they would have "another advocate to help [them] and be with [them] forever-the Spirit of truth" (John 14:16-17). So, if you, too, are in need of such an advocate, might you consider seeking Him; because, with Him, you will always find the answers. #AskYourFather #HeKnows

What do you need restored?
Instantly, a life can be shattered in to a million pieces. But, it can also be put back together. Whatever the damage, self-inflicted or not, He will forget your "past troubles" and not remember "former things" (Isaiah 65:16), and promises to "create a new heavens and a new earth" (65:17). So, if in need of repair, might you seek Him to help with whatever needs to be restored. #PieceByPiece #ANewYou

What do you try to cover up?
No matter how hard you try, you can not cover up your sins, "for all have sinned and fall short" (Romans 3:23). But, even so, He still wants to cleanse you of your sins by offering forgiveness so that you can start anew, just as He did for the woman who was about to be stoned for hers (see Romans 3:23 & John 8:7). So, if you are wanting to unload your transgressions, might you consider seeking Him for forgiveness. #AlwaysExposed & #NoWhereToHide

How far will you take your ambition?
There is nothing wrong with being ambitious; but what you do to achieve your dream is key in how you will get there. For those whose intentions are misguided, misplaced or selfish, like John and James, who asked Jesus to "let one of [them] sit at [his] right and the other at [his] left in [his] glory" (Mark 10:37 & 38), they will rarely, if ever, achieve whatever plan that they may have. But, for those who put in the hard work, sacrifice and service (see 10:43), they will have a greater chance of achieving their desire. So, whatever your intentions, might you consider taking His Word aka advice and let it lead you to where you want to go and become. #HonorableAmbition

How well known are you?
The world is filled with many unknowns. Not recognized or receiving what had been promised to them was Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthan, David and Samuel (see Hebrews 11:32), as they "conquered kingdoms", "administered justice", "shut mouth of lions" (11:33), ""quenched the fury of the flames", "escaped the edge of the sword" and "routed foreign armies" (11:34). But, regardless, each remained faithful and "were all commended for their faith" (11:39), because He knows everyone and everything that they do. You too, are well known, and when faithful, just like these men, He will reward you for your hard work, kindness and good deeds as well. #Distinguished #Noted & #Renowned
