Daily Meditations of a Nurse Warrior
Why remain faithful?
When storms arise, many become fearful and panic. Reacting to a storm, in the sea of Galilee, were the disciples. Fortunately, with Jesus in the boat, He "rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!"" (Mark 4:39-40 NIV). Life's storms will rise and fall, just like the tide. But when you remain faithful, He will calm the waters, every time, as the "wind and waves obey him" (4:41). #CalmInEveryStorm

What connects you to others?
Gatherings have the ability to start conversations that lead to the creation and development of connections, even relationships, with others. Similar connections also occurred during "the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks and the Festival of Tabernacles" (Deuteronomy 16:16), as people from all walks of life came and gathered together to "rejoice before the LORD" (16:11). So, might you take the time to attend gatherings and see how your life can be enriched through the lives of others. #GatherTogether & #MakingConnections

What kind of ambassador are you?
There are ambassadors for many things and people, as they represent them with great passion and enthusiasm. Likewise are those that follow and represent Christ as they "implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God" (2 Corinthians 5:20). So, whatever you chose to support, promote or represent, might it be for something or someone that provides you with real joy, fullness and value. #HarmonyBrand

How persistent are you and your prayers?
Persistence is never easy, as it comes with many detours and roadblocks. But, when you want something bad enough, staying the course is what it will take to get it. Displaying persistence was a widow seeking justice from a corrupt judge. Because the widow kept bothering the judge, he made sure that she got justice (see Luke 18:5). So, instead of giving in or up on something, might you be persistent, but also persistent in prayer, as "He will pour out his Spirit...and not delay to answer you and give you what you ask for" (18:7 TPT). #Passion #Perseverance & #Prayer

How many true brothers and sisters do you have?
One who is willing to defend and stand beside you is a true brother and/or sister. Such a sibling is Jesus, as He willingly became “fully human in every way” (Hebrews 2:17) and “is not ashamed”, [but delighted], “to call [us] brothers and sisters” (Hebrews 2:11). So, might you reach out and get to know your brother. #ATrueBro❤️

What company do you keep? & How well do you keep your word?
Circumstances, and people too, can cause you to feel lonely, isolated and forgotten. For Joseph, it was sitting, two years, wrongly accused, in prison (see Genesis 40:14 & 41:9-14). But, the entire time, Joseph was never alone, as the Lord was with him. So, no matter the circumstance or company you keep, you will never find yourself alone or forgotten, because “[He]”, unlike others, “will not forget you!” (Isaiah 49:15). #AManOfHisWord❤️

How can you be of service?
There are needs everywhere; and in order to serve those needs is to give of your time and talent(s). The Lord has done so as “[he has] become all things to all people so that by all possible means [he] might save some”; and, in one instance, “[he] became weak” to the weak (1 Corinthians 9:22). So, as you consider your “gifts” and “services” (12:4-5), might you take and use them where they can be best served. #HelpWithoutHesitation❤️

It is extremely hard to find those who keep their word. Fortunately, a rare few are still around. One of those priceless few is someone that you can always count on, whose “word”…”is right and true” and “is faithful in all he does” (Psalm 33:4). So, if you never want to be disappointed, might you turn your time and attention to The One who will give it to you and never let you down. #NeverDisappoints & #KeepsAllPromises

Noticing and demonstrating such a love for you is Christ. Even “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). So, might you remember the next time you are looking for visibility, worth and love, might you seek Him in prayer as opposed to surfing or searching. #AlwaysNoticed #Valued #Liked & #Loved

Fortunately, you have a built in support system, if you want it. No matter the age or circumstance, He will always be there to see you through everything, as “he [is] who will sustain you” (Isaiah 46:4). So, if in need, might you seek help from someone who will always be there for you no matter what. #CertaintyInTheUncertain & #ComfortInTheUncomfortable❤️
