March 17th 2024 Update

I got some writing done this week, and Talyn: Repose is up to ~52,500 words. Not as much as I’d like, but I’ll go with it. This coming week won’t be as good because of a scheduled trip, so be warned of that.

On the other hand, I got the final preview of cover art for Seed of Chaos! Assuming I have the art in my inbox when I get back, which I should, I expect to publish before the end of the month! Anyway, since I’m about to leave for my trip, I’ll leave it at that. Have an enjoyable week!

March 10th 2024 Update

I didn’t make much progress this week. It didn’t start great, but I was doing a bit of work, then I got word that one of my uncles passed away. He was getting into that age cohort, but the news kind of blew up my week. Sorry, everyone, but Talyn’s story hasn’t gotten much attention over the past two weeks.

March 3rd 2024 Update

So, not much writing this week. I got hit by a series of weather-induced headaches, plus a bunch of family things which left me unable to marshal much motivation to write. Hopefully this upcoming week will be better. Alas, that’s… really all I have to say. I hope to have better news next week.

February 25th 2024 Update

This week wasn’t as productive overall due to some issues due to weather, but I still have Talyn: Repose up to about 37,500 words! It’s coming along pretty well, and is being mostly the slice of life I wanted the series to be… for the moment. I’m sure that’ll change in the near future, since Talyn’s life isn’t allowed to be predictable.

Beyond that, I have several art pieces in progress, and am super-excited by the one for Seed of Chaos. I also got a piece of Talyn and Reya from Talyn’s Saga ...

February 18th 2024 Update

This week had some fun to deal with. Not really, but I’ll get to it.

First of all, I made progress on Talyn: Repose! It’s up to ~24,000 words, and moving along steadily. Cover art for Seed of Chaos is in-progress, and expected in early March, and since that’s all I’m waiting on, I sent the manuscript to Podium to let them get the audiobook production started. February 10th 2024 Update

Okay, first things first! I got back the new cover art for Obelisk of Blood from Mario Wibisono, which I’ll share below! I’ve already uploaded it to Amazon, so it’ll show on all new ebooks/hardcopies from now on. When it shows up for the copies you’ve purchased is an entirely different question, though. I’ve no control over that, alas.

February 4th 2024 Update

I’ve sent Seed of Chaos to the editor! It’s still about 114,000 words, so I’m pretty sure that’ll be close to the final total. The main delay at this point will be the cover art, but hopefully I’ll be able to release in March rather than April. On the plus side, nothing will keep me from getting it to Podium for them to schedule things!

January 28th, 2024 Update

This week I start editing Seed of Chaos, so I’m glad to announce that! I should finish that this week, then will be sending it to the editor for review. No news on art just yet, alas.

In other news, due to narrator scheduling, the audio of Obelisk of Blood is being moved back into September, just so you’re aware.

January 21st 2024 Update

The rough draft of Seed of Chaos is complete and the alpha readers are going through it, looking for issues. Thus far, there hasn’t been much, just the typical bevy of minor typos and the like. The book is about 114,000 words in total at the moment, though editing may change that. Ironically, the thing which may delay the publishing the most is cover art.

January 14th 2024 Update

This week is going to be my seven-year anniversary of publishing my first book. That’s insane to me. Seven years, and 29 novels published. I can hardly believe it, in a lot of ways. I never would’ve guessed that I’d write, or publish, so many books. Thank you, all of you who’ve enjoyed them.
