December 23rd 2024 Update

Happy Holidays to everyone! I’m taking most of this week off for the holidays, so I hope everyone else has a wonderful time! Bloom of Chaos is up to about 90,000 words and climbing, so there’s that to look forward to, as well as the cover art, which should be complete in January.

December 16th 2024 Update

As I said last week, I didn’t get a lot done over the course of the week. It took me a while to get into the mood to write after hearing about my editor, but I did manage to get Bloom of Chaos to a little over 80,000 words. With any luck, I’ll manage to get more done this week. My muse has been inconsistent, though, so… we’ll see.

I’ve also ordered art for Bloom of Chaos, which I’m hoping will look amazing, so look forward to that! I hope everyone has a wonderful week.

December 9th 2024 Update

Unfortunately for me, the trip to Las Vegas wasn’t conducive to writing, as Bloom of Chaos is only up to ~76,000 words. This was amplified by receiving news that my editor unexpectedly passed away. While I knew she had cancer, we’d both expected she had a few more years with her current treatment regimen. Needless to say, this was an enormous shock for me, and I’m taking a short break while I try to get my thoughts in order.

December 2nd, 2024 Update

Bloom of Chaos is up to ~70,000 words, and I’m into Part 3 of the book! Unfortunately, Thanksgiving was last week, and this week I’m going to be out of town for a work convention (my wife’s work, not mine). I’m going to try to get writing done, but I’m not sure how much I’ll manage when working from a hotel room.

November 25th 2024 Update

The release of Temple of the Sun has gone reasonably well! Much as I expected, it’s not as popular as Eve of Destruction, but I’m heartened by the number of good reviews so far, and am pretty happy!

On my current project, Bloom of Chaos is up to about 60,000 words so far, and I’m continuing to work on it relatively briskly. However, this week is a holiday, so I fully expect to lose a few days of writing due to it. I’m closing on the end of Part 2 of the book, and hopefully things continue to ...

November 11th 2024 Update

A week to the launch of Temple of the Sun! I’m super-excited, and looking forward to seeing what all of you think! Not a whole lot else to say about it, but I’m looking forward to it. I don’t have a link for the recording of the interview with Tess Irondale regarding Talyn’s Saga yet, she’s been busy with narration, but once I do, I’ll link to it!

November 4th 2024 Update

As I’ve mentioned, Temple of the Sun is off with the editor, and should be back in time for the November 18th release. In the meantime, I got to work on Bloom of Chaos, the next Eve of Destruction book, and I got a lot done on it. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to keep up the rate, but I have about 19,000 words written. October 28th 2024 Update

Alright, Temple of the Sun is off with the editor, and is on-schedule for it’s release on November 18th! I’m happy it’s set up, but with it out, and plenty of vacationing in the past month, I’ve gone ahead and started on my next project.

I’ve begun working on Bloom of Chaos, the next Eve of Destruction title. It only has a few thousand words so far, but I expect to get going on it fully this week. This volume is going to begin with a long-awaited return to Peldra, which should be… interesting...
