April 21st 2025 Update

Talyn: Blooming is at a little under 125,000 words. Not as much as I’d like, but that’s where it’s at, and I think I have two to three chapters left in the book. I’m not holding my breath, though, as the book has been difficult in some spots, and I never know when things will run long.

March 14th 2025 Updates

Not much to say about this week. It was a bit crazy for me, and I broke through one bit of writer’s block and straight into another. I think I’m closer to finishing Talyn: Blooming, but it’ll take more time, unfortunately. That’s it, really.

April 7th 2025 Update

Alas, this week wasn’t the best for writing. Ran into a mild bit of writer’s block as I tried to go into the final stages of Talyn: Blooming, so it’s currently at only ~111,500 words or so. I’m hoping to finish the rough draft this week, but no promises there.

Beyond that, there isn’t much to say. I’m trying to get a book done, I promise!

March 7th 2025 Update

March 31st 2025 Update

Talyn: Blooming is up to about 105,000 words, and I think I’m heading into the ending stages of the book at this point! No idea how long they’ll be, in all honesty, there’s a lot of ways things could go, but it feels relatively close to me. I’m excited and nervous both.

Either way, it’s going to take as long as it takes, and I want to make sure it’s enjoyable. At the same time, I’ve also commissioned an updated map of Castra from Silver Compass Maps, which I received this past week! I should ...

March 24th 2025 Update

Talyn: Blooming is up to about 96,000 words. Not much else to say except that I somewhat dread politics in my stories, which is somewhat interfering with connecting events. I’m doing what I can to bypass that, which has been less thrilling for the characters. Anyway, other news!

March 17th 2025 Update

This week I have Talyn: Blooming up to about 85,000 words. The story is moving along, but unfortunately, I have no idea how long it’ll end up being. It’s possible it’ll only be a little over 100,000 words, or be much longer. I don’t know.

March 10th 2025 Update

Talyn: Blooming is up to a little over 75,000 words and coming along well. I’m also doing research for some other projects in the future which have been distracting me a bit, but I’m hoping I can focus through it all. Not a whole lot has been happening other than that, though! I hope you all have a wonderful week!

March 3rd 2025 Update

I didn’t get quite as much writing done this week as I wanted, but Talyn: Blooming is up to ~65,000 words, and I’m getting into the primary plot well at this point. I don’t think Tammy would be happy with me. Anyway! It’s March, and I’m continuing to work on things. I’ve also commissioned an art piece of Talyn and Laodice from Denny Ibnu, as my Patrons voted for Laodice in a recent poll. That’s the better part of a month out, though.
