May 19th 2024 Update

Talyn: Repose is up to about 145,000 words, and I think I’ll finish the rough draft this week! I can’t guarantee it, of course, but I’m fairly confident I’ll manage it. I’m really looking forward to sharing it with my Alpha readers! That’ll probably happen next week, in all honesty.

I also got the edited version of Halls of Power back from my editor, so I’ll be sending the files off to Sarah Goer shortly. I don’t have an ETA on putting up the audiobook of the new version of Ancient Ruins yet ...

May 12th 2024 Update

Alas, not nearly as much progress this past week as I’d hoped. Lots of things interfered, including a scene which just wouldn’t progress properly. I managed it in the end, but it took several days to get done. Talyn: Repose is coming along, just not as fast as I’d hoped.

On the other hand, I did get the new audiobook files for Ancient Ruins back from Sarah Goer, and I’m hoping to replace it in the near future! I’m mostly waiting on Amazon. I also replaced the ebook file with the newer printin...

May 5th 2024 Update

This was a difficult week, so Talyn: Repose is only at about 126,500 words. I’m a bit frustrated, but I think I’ve been trying to do too many things at once. I’m almost done editing Halls of Power for the new audiobook version, so I think what I’m going to do is get that off my plate tomorrow, since I should be able to finish the editing pass in a single day, given how much I have left. That’ll get a project off my plate, and should be an enormous relief. We’ll see how it goes.

April 28th 2024 Update

Talyn: Repose is up to ~117,500 words! I’m not sure how much longer it’ll be, but it could, theoretically, finish the rough draft this week. I’m doubtful, but it’s possible.

Beyond that, I’ve mostly been focusing on getting back into the groove of writing without letting myself push too far. Oh, I’ve been experimenting a bit, and my muse is running rampant, as usual, but nothing too big. April 21st 2024 Update

Talyn: Repose is up to ~105,000 words, and I’m making good progress. I’m still uncertain whether or not I’ll finished the rough draft this month, but at this point I doubt it. I’ll probably be a good bit into May before finishing the rough draft, sadly.

April 14th 2024 Update

I did much better on Talyn: Repose this past week! It’s up to about 92,000 words, and is going far better than I was afraid it might. I’m still hoping to finish the rough draft this month, but there’s no way to know if I’ll manage it for sure until I get there.

April 7th 2024 Update

Talyn: Repose is up to about 76,000 words, so I made decent progress this past week. Not as good as I’d hoped, but better than I was afraid of. I think part of my issue, beyond the relatively… difficult events of the past couple of months, is that I’m not entirely sure how to get Talyn into the events I’m trying to depict in the story. I think I’ve figured it out, but I’ll see how it works out in text. Hopefully I manage to get it worked out this coming week!

March 31st 2024 Update

I’m starting to recover, as Talyn: Repose is up to about 65,000 words, meaning I wrote about 10,000 this past week. I’m hoping I continue to improve, but we’ll see how it goes.

Seed of Chaos has been doing pretty well, overall! There isn’t a lot else to say about it, but the rating is pretty good, so I’m pretty happy with how it’s being received! I hope you’ve enjoyed it, as I enjoyed writing it. Even if Part 3 was a bit insane to write.

March 23rd 2024 Update

Early update, because I have an announcement to make. I got the final art of Seed of Chaos this week, so the book will be releasing Monday March 25th. I’m super-excited to get it out at last!
