How can I tell if it’s my intuition?
In a world full of distraction and noise, how do you differentiate between the voice of your head and the voice of your soul? There are many ways to do this, but the biggest way I know is the way it feels in your body. When I say something that’s from my head the frequency is faster and there’s an ulterior motive. There’s often something I’m trying to do or strive for or even get to. It’s something that feels “out there” away from me or external.
The heart has an energy field that is 5000 times greater than the brain. Home of our intuition, it has an intelligence that scientists are just scratching the surface of. A depth of wisdom, a knowingness, an interconnectedness, a oneness with all of life.
Every decision we make either takes us closer or further away from ourselves. Often it’s hard to tune into the subtle energy, but deep down everything is either a ‘yes’ or a ‘no.’ Feel good or feel not as good. Avoidance or coming home.
When it’s the voice of my soul it feels deep and potent and true. What I get through my intuition may be exciting and then again also something I wish wasn’t true; but, something about it feels right. I may say what my intuition is telling me out loud or my soul voice may come through in soul inquiry through my writing practice. Whichever way it speaks, I drop more into my body. There is a depth. My heart opens and expands and something about what is shared is just true.
Another thing I’ve noticed over time is the difference in your voice (in myself and in others) when speaking from your head versus from your soul. There’s an actual shift in the tone of voice used. It changes. When I speak out loud from my head, my tone is higher pitched. When my soul (or intuition) speaks, it comes from deep within. I drop into my body and my heart. And there’s this congruence and harmony in the sound. There’s a slowing down of cadence and I feel certainty without an agenda.
Tune into your deepest desires, heart’s prayers, and authentic calls of the soul – then get your mind and body to work manifesting them. Start Visioning with my Yearly Visioning Process.

Your greatest fear can show you your greatest gift
So often our greatest fears are the gatekeepers to our greatest gifts. And if you pause a moment to feel into that, what comes up for you?
What are the things that shake you up? The things that make you shrink and be small, run away or hide? I believe that if you can summon the bravery to look into the aspects of yourself that lie in the darkest places, there will be light there waiting for you.
But it takes your courage to reach through and set those gifts free. To look into the face of the things that we’re afraid to do and then get curious on what’s on the other side of them. However, if we gather up the courage to lean through them, something magical happens.
One of my greatest fears was sharing my voice and sharing my creations. And yet, that’s what I came here to do. I came here to share the parts of myself I was most afraid of sharing. There’s definitely wisdom in that.
If we can find the courage to face our greatest fears and breathe through them and create through them and move through them and dance through them…very often, on the other side, we discover our greatest gifts. Because these gifts are creations seeded within you – planted before your birth. Waiting.
Just on the other side of those fears are unborn possibilities yearning to be woven, songs of the ancient Earth eager to hum through you, beckoning to be sung. A new consciousness that longs to be written into matter.
I know it feels big to walk into what you fear the most, and yet your soul is always calling you to surrender to the creations whispering you forth. Your soul is asking you to fully realize who you came to be and bring it out into the world. And as you do, as you share your song, it unlocks something in someone else. Beckoning them to dig deep into their darkness and release the gifts hidden within them too.
SOUL INQUIRY:
If you were feeling courageous, what would you do?
Tune into your deepest desires, heart’s prayers, and authentic calls of the soul – then get your mind and body to work manifesting them. Start Visioning with my Yearly Visioning Process.

Is no guidance, guidance?
One of the most frustrating and testing things when it comes to intuition, is that at times we feel like we don’t always hear our guidance. Sometimes this can be because our mind is very busy and we have too much happening. Whereas other times, when you’re consistently not receiving specific guidance on a specific question you have – it can mean wait. Stop. Take a breath. Take some time out. The timing is not right.
This can be so frustrating because when we really want to receive guidance we REALLY want to receive it.
I remember a time when I was really really asking for specific guidance on where to live. I had received a vision, but I didn’t get any more specific information around that vision. Instead, I would receive the same vision over and over again. That was it.
This went on for years, until finally I woke up one day and received crystal clear guidance on where my next home should be. Now when I look back, I can see that during the time that I wasn’t getting the kind of guidance I was looking for, the threads were busy weaving themselves together. And it took patience and faith and trust to continue to hold onto that vision while I wasn’t receiving the specific guidance I craved, but in the end it was all worth it. And that vision I did receive ended up being so accurate, it just didn’t happen according to the timing I wanted at the time.
So sometimes when we are checking in and our mind isn’t too chattery and we’re not receiving guidance – it can mean that we need to take a moment, it’s not yet time. And have faith the guidance will come, but just not in the timeframe we want it to.
SOUL INQUIRY:
How can you embrace the timing of your life?

How to break through a creative block
There’s a question I always get excited by when someone asks me it because it’s been a big part of my journey. The question is:
“What should I do when I have writer’s block or some form of a creative block?”
When I look back, some of my best work has been through creative blocks. And embracing those creative blocks (instead of wishing they weren’t there) is how I began to move through them.
When you’re a creative, writer, or artist (and we all are), you will face creative blocks. But the key is to see them as opportunities. Once you can see them as an opportunity, you can then tune into what I call the creative muse or sacred intelligence. Because when we’re creatively blocked, often it’s because our mind or ego is frustrated that “we can’t find the answer.” But, the greatest solution comes when we surrender to sacred intelligence and let it inform the blocked part of us what it needs to hear.
Here are the four steps I use to break through a creative block:
1. Embrace the creative block.
2. See the creative block as an opportunity.
3. Surrender to sacred intelligence. Put your hand on your heart, connect to the sacred and say “I’m here, I showed up, I need you to help me, I need you to guide me now.”
4.Allow the sacred intelligence to write to the blocked part of you.
This process has worked so well for me. It’s the way I’ve personally moved through blocks over my years as a creative and I feel so grateful to have discovered it. Even now when I feel blocked it can still seem frustrating, but the best bit is that I know it’s an opportunity for something even more inspired to come in.
Tune into your deepest desires, heart’s prayers, and authentic calls of the soul – then get your mind and body to work manifesting them. Start Visioning with my Yearly Visioning Process.

Being a Creative Channel
We have been led to believe that we must consume, not create. We’ve forgotten that we’re all artists and that this life, our life, is the canvas upon which we create.
We’ve also been taught that creativity is something that exists only within some people – a rare gift, a certain specialness. But creativity isn’t limited to some, it’s within each and every one of us and that means it’s within you too.
I believe that creativity and intuition come from the same place, and that place is where the soul resides. When you tap into the flow of Source energy you are a clear channel for creations to flow through you. When you allow Source to flow through you, a beautiful thing happens – just like sunbeams shining through a stained-glass window: the light passes through your authentic self and creates something that no one else could have created. As we allow the light to flow through the stained-glass windows of our soul, our vibration, held within the creation, draws people in.
It doesn’t matter how your creativity shows up. It could express itself through being a poet, midwife, healer, space holder, mother, leader, activator, decoder, warrior, dismantler, or grower. The label is not important. It only matters that you remember your gifts, reclaim them and embrace them with grounded action. There are books and songs, inventions and innovations, sculptures and world-changing ideas that are waiting to be ushered onto this planet.
I know it can feel overwhelming to put your voice, your art, your creations, into the world. But if you’re here to create, and your muse is whispering to you in the dead of night, then that’s what you must do.
Keep showing up to your creations and your craft with grounded daily action. Stay in the wonder and the trust. Live in the adventure and the uncertainty. Dive into the flow of life and trust that the next step will be revealed at just the right time. Surrender to what scares and excites you. Lose yourself in what makes you come alive. For where there’s creativity, Life and soul are present. And the world needs more of that now than ever.
Tune into your deepest desires, heart’s prayers, and authentic calls of the soul – then get your mind and body to work manifesting them. Start Visioning with my Yearly Visioning Process.

3 Ways to Align Your Life to Your Soul
One of the questions I get asked most often is “how do I find my purpose?” I love this question, because if you’ve found yourself asking this, it means your soul is nudging you toward alignment. So, I wanted to share my three steps to help you align your life to your soul:
Step 1: Connect with your soul on a regular basisYou don’t need to do hours of spiritual practice every day to connect with your soul. If you only have five minutes, that is enough. It is more important that you show up consistently than how long you spend there. Connecting with your soul regularly could be through spiritual practice, chanting or intuitive writing. Whatever you choose as your way to be with your soul, do it every day if you can. It will strengthen your connection and make it easier to take step two.
Your soul is always ready to speak with you. You can do this through a practice I call Soul Inquiry. Soul Inquiry works by asking your soul a question such as: “what is my soul calling me to do?” You tune into the part of you that knows, and as you write the answer, you start with “my soul is calling me to _____.”
This will allow you to fully hear the messages the deepest part of you wants you to know and align you to move to the last step.
It may sound simple, but step 3 is just as important as all the steps before it. Because, without acting on the calls of our soul, there is no point in receiving guidance. When we do not take action, the guidance we receive just stays in the ethers. It remains in the spiritual. And we’re here to embody the sacred. If taking action towards what you’re being called to do feels scary or overwhelming, just take one baby step each day on whatever your soul has called you to do. And then another, and then another…!
Each of these steps will take you deeper into your sacred nature and reveal what it means for you to find and live your purpose. Through connecting, listening, and taking action (baby steps) on a regular basis, slowly but surely you’ll find yourself living your life aligned to who you are and who you came here to be.
Let Your Soul InThe more time you spend with your soul, the more connected to it you will become. The more time you spend listening to its whispers, yearnings, visions, feelings and calls, the easier it will be to listen to and trust it. The more you listen to and trust it, the easier it will be to act on its guidance. But it helps to have a process. A way to work your light.
Working your light isn’t just a spiritual practice, but it IS guided by your soul. It’s why I created a way to help you lead with your soul and then get your mind and body in line to follow those soul nudges with actions. My visioning process is filled with different tools to release energy, tune into the core of your intuition, and then take action.
By using the Work Your Light Visioning Process (year after year) and approaching your next cycle with a vision, you’ll find alignment of body, mind, and spirit. And it all begins with the question “what is your soul yearning for?” If you’re interested in Work Your Light, my unique visioning process, you can find out more here.

Celebrating the Winter Solstice
In this blog, I’ll be exploring what the Winter Solstice is, its spiritual significance, how we may experience its energy at this time, and celebrating the Winter Solstice.
What is the Winter Solstice?Solstices occur twice a year; one in the summer and one in the winter. The solstices are festival days in the Wheel of the Year. The Winter Solstice happens at the time of the year when the days are at their shortest and the nights are at their longest. In the northern hemisphere, it falls somewhere between 20th – 23rd December, and in the southern hemisphere it falls between 20th – 23rd June.
‘Solstice’ means ‘sun stands still’ or ‘standing of the sun’, and at this time of the year, for several days before and after the Winter Solstice, the sun appears to stand still in the sky.
You can check out my blog about the Summer Solstice here.

The Wheel of the Year is celebrated by many spiritual seekers all over the world, including pagans, Wiccans, witches of all kinds, and also nature-lovers who do not follow a specific spiritual tradition. It celebrates the turning of the seasons, and those who follow its rhythms mark its seasonal festival days or ‘Sabbats’.
For more information about and rituals to honour the Wheel of the Year, including a special Yule Log Fire Ritual you can do to celebrate the Winter Solstice, you can join my membership, The Sanctuary here.
The Winter Solstice is a time of reflection and renewal. There is an invitation here to take a moment out of our normal lives to be still and connect to the bigger picture of where we are in our journey.
At this time, all of nature is resting and still – seeds and bulbs hide beneath the ground from the colder weather, and many animals hibernate. We too can use this time to rest and rejuvenate. There is great benefit to be had from allowing ourselves periods of retreat that can help us to nourish our bodies, minds and spirits and nurture the tender seeds of our own creations.
The Winter Solstice is also a celebration of rebirth. From this point in the year onwards, the days will lengthen and begin to get warmer. Nature will begin to show signs of growth and we, too will begin to venture outside of ourselves more.
So although right now, we are drawn to be indoors more, staying warm and conserving our energy, there is an awareness that the return of the sun is coming, and with it, new life and new adventures. As you stand on the threshold of the next six months, you may like to reflect on what you wish to draw into your life.

The Winter Solstice is traditionally a time of celebration and connection. If you are coming together with friends and family, you can create a special feast of seasonal foods and drinks (such as mulled wine and spiced cider) to celebrate. This is also a time of entertainment, so watching a dance show or play or enjoying music together is also a great thing to do at this time of the year.
If you are celebrating alone, then you can choose to really step into the energy of reflection that the Winter Solstice brings. Take time to think about your life, your hopes and dreams and what you have learnt from the last six months since the Summer Solstice. You may wish to create a special ceremony or ritual to mark the day.
Embrace the energy of the Winter Solstice with the Work Your Light Annual Visioning Process! Energetically review and release the 12-month cycle that you have just come through, so that you can clearly hear what seeds you are being called to plant and what grounded actions you are being called to take as you cross the threshold into the next 12-month cycle.
If you’d like some more inspiration on celebrating the Winter Solstice including the Yule Log Ritual, you can find that in my sacred membership The Sanctuary.

The Summer Solstice happens at the time of the year when the days are at their longest, the nights are at their shortest, and the sun is at the height of its power. As it is calculated astronomically, it is not on the same day every year. In the northern hemisphere, it falls somewhere between 20th – 23rd June, and in the southern hemisphere it falls between 20th – 23rd December.
‘Solstice’ means ‘sun stands still’ or ‘standing of the sun’, and at this time of the year, for several days before and after the Summer Solstice, the sun appears to stand still in the sky.

The Summer Solstice is a time of completion and celebration. Plans that we made in the darker months should now be fully in place. The invitation at this time is to stand back and take a moment to be still and celebrate what we have achieved in the previous six months since the Winter Solstice.
Although this is a time of great abundance in nature, with flowers blooming all around us and fruit and vegetables ripening in the fields, the paradox of the Summer Solstice is that from this point in the year onwards, nature starts to draw inwards as summer turns to autumn and autumn turns to winter.
So even as we celebrate the height of the sun’s power, there is an awareness that from here on, we too will be slowly moving inwards and retreating back into ourselves.
This awareness that we must let go of this time of energy and abundance and begin the process of retreating reminds us to fully celebrate the present moment and give gratitude for all the things in our lives that bring us joy. As we stand on the threshold of the next six months, you may like to reflect on what you now wish to welcome into your life.
The Summer Solstice is traditionally a time of great celebration. If you have friends or family who also wish to mark this day, it’s a great reason to come together and share a special feast or fire ceremony – or even just a simple gathering where you share seasonal food and drink, play music and have fun.
The Summer Solstice is actually the ideal time of year for a late-night party. Some people choose to stay up all night until the first light of the sun meets the earth. If you do this, be sure to cheer and celebrate its arrival!
The high, creative energy at the Summer Solstice makes it a great time to birth something new into being, so if you feel called, you could choose to begin a new creative project on this day.

Harness the energy of the Summer Solstice with the Work Your Light Visioning Process + Workbook. It has been designed to help you energetically review and release the 12-month cycle that you have just come through, so that you can clearly hear what seeds you are being called to plant and what grounded actions you are being called to take as you cross the threshold into the next 12-month cycle.
