The Second Bloom

A second chance. It’s never too late. New possibilities.

This is a card of second chances, new beginnings, regeneration, and reinventing yourself. It’s never too late to surrender to what’s blooming within you. All that matters is that you surrender to the buds that are longing to grow and be known. No matter your age or what may have previously occurred, this card is an invitation to surrender to a second bloom. To welcome the new and share it with the world. To acknowledge the secret passions, longings, creations, and yearnings and let them bud and bloom.

If we properly allow things to end, new beginnings will always come. If we surrender to the cycles of Life, after winter, spring will always return. If we tend the seeds in the fertile earth, they’ll eventually emerge.

 

Card of the day from The Rose Oracle

Just as we think the season’s over and winter’s drawing near, some roses bless us with an unexpected second bloom. If this card appears in a spread, it’s a likely sign that you too are set for a second bloom. Perhaps you have a creation that’s waiting to be brought forth. Or maybe it’s a new relationship or passion in your life. Maybe what’s waiting to be born is a new version of you.

The more open we are to change the more open we are to Life. The more open we are to Life the more open we are to being born again anew. Yes, this is what it means to truly live. Being open to saying yes to life – so when you eventually take your last breath, you’ll do so while still fully living.

Honouring Endings

The concept of endings and how we move through them is one that has fascinated me for many years. So often in our fast-paced world we forget the importance of honouring endings and don’t take the time to acknowledge these moments of completion.

This can be because we find it painful to accept that an ending is taking place and don’t want to feel the loss of this thing, or it can be because we are racing on to the next thing or attempting to be constantly in full bloom.

Nature knows the importance of endings.

Taking the time to reflect helps us to surrender to the intelligent force that is woven through all of life.

When we allow ourselves to truly acknowledge and honour endings in our lives, we metaphorically ‘go underground’ by coming to a standstill and allowing ourselves to recover and rest. We may not realize it, but this is the most important part of our growth. And it takes faith and surrender to do it.

Trust the sureness of the soil. Be cradled by the great mystery.

This is a very tender, powerful time.

Codes of the Seeds

The blueprint is within you. Take the next step.

Seeds come in knowing exactly what to do; within them they hold the potential of entire forests and rose gardens. Seeds have within them an intelligent timing that’s connected with the intelligence of the cosmos. We’re all seeds; future forests and gardens waiting to be born. We each hold the codes of a new humanity within us. Change is our natural state.

Seeds must be buried in the darkness before they can bloom into the light. Seeds can’t even begin to bloom without embracing the fertile void of the winter soil. They can’t flower without outgrowing the constraints of the bud. They can’t bear fruit without releasing their beauty to the earth and letting go of the very thing about them that captivated others.

This card delivers the message that within you, you have all you need to create what you’re destined to create, to move through everything that life delivers and to navigate your way through any terrain. The blueprint has always been seeded within. Trust that you have within you the codes for the most glorious rose garden waiting to bud and bloom. Trust those codes. Remember that blueprint.

All you need to do now is take the next step. And tomorrow, take the next. If you continue taking baby steps each day, on a day not too far from today, you’ll look back and discover the most breathtaking garden of roses all around you. And then,  fruit will follow. Today, just take the next step. You know what to do. The blueprint is encoded within you.

The call of the trees

Do you have trees from your childhood that you remember? Growing up in Australia I went to a primary school where the playground was made up of nature. At lunch we sat directly on the Earth. We would play hide and seek behind paperbark trees. I still remember the powdery smell of the bark, as thin as tissue paper and how it would peel away from the trunk. The smell of eucalyptus takes me back to weekends spent climbing & swinging from branches.  When I see deep red I am transported to holidays swimming in tea tree lakes, the water stained from the tea tree oils making our skin and hair silky and soft.  One of my earliest memories is with my Grandpa Bill cracking macadamia nuts that we had collected from the garden.  Working in Sydney city I would spend my lunch breaks recharging and praying for creative ideas under the most magnificent fig. Almost two decades on, I would find myself underneath this same tree, getting grounded before a big live event I was hosting in Sydney. The lungs of the planet. Ancient altars in the hollow trunk of the Yew tree. Grandmother trees. Birthing trees. Enchanted forests. Microbe ecosystems communicating deep underground. The kindling crackling in your fireplace. The incense burning on your altar. The foundations holding up your ceiling. The handle of your paintbrush. The spoon to stir your pot of hearty soup.  When we truly open our eyes to it, the magic and mystery of trees permeates our life deeply. Beyond their roots and upper branches, their gifts reach into our lives in many ways.   In The Inner Temple Mystery School we explore the sacred intelligent wisdom of Trees and have a direct experience of them through different practices which serve as gateways for us to return to our own true nature, hear the voice of our soul, explore the unknown and, ultimately, reconnect with the sacred intelligent pulse of Life that is woven through us all. After receiving a lot of requests, we have extended the special discount and created a new 6 month payment plan that is available until Monday 29th at 11.59 BST.

The Cosmic Mystery

The magnitude and majesty of the sky has besotted, intrigued and inspired humans since time began. Mystics, theologians, philosophers, scientists, visionaries, saints, poets, and wise elders through the ages have all grappled with the difficulty of explaining the mystery of the Cosmos and our place in the Universe.The Collins English Dictionary defines cosmic as ‘belonging or relating to the Universe.’ The Earth of course is part of the cosmos, we are too.Scientists have long been saying that we’re made of stardust. It’s not a poetic statement, it’s a fact – we’re deeply connected to the Universe at a cellular level. Your body – right down to your organs, your cells, and your bones – is made of ancient exploded stars.

The 8th module of The Inner Temple Mystery School training invites us to explore and have a direct experience with the hugs topic of The Cosmos!In this module, when we talk about the Cosmos – we mean everything and anything within the width and breadth of the ordered Universe – from our spinning blue earth to the countless sparkling stars – the moons, planets and beyond. All that we know about – and all that we don’t. Stars, the moon, infinite space, retrograde energies, the sacred geometry of solar systems that mirror the spiral patterns of the budding flower.

Here we come face to face with perhaps some of the greatest, deepest, expansive, unknown, huge and awe-filled Mysteries of them all.

This module is all about tapping into the sense of awe, wonder and “whoa!” we can feel, when exploring the Cosmos. We Are Nature

If you look up the word ‘nature’ in the dictionary, you will find many things referenced, such as plants, stones, animals and landscapes. You will also find that it does not just leave out humans, but it specifically states that humans are not part of nature. Separate to it.

Is it any wonder why so many of us can feel so disconnected? How humanity has caused so much harm to this planet rather than seeing ourselves as an extension of it? I believe that this is the real separation that so many of us feel, from the earth itself and thus, ourselves and each other. I believe our separation from the earth as our Mother, Her seasons, cyclic ways and ever-changing state has caused so many of the problems that humanity is facing on this planet today. And that when we see the divine as a man in the sky, not woven into the earth, this separation becomes even more evident.  I believe now more than ever we need to see the Sacred in all things. To notice the breathtaking beauty that is all around us. To see the Sacred in the trees, the flowers, the plants and the stones, as well as within ourselves and each other. To weave the Sacred back into our everyday lives.

We Are Nature is a foundational module in The Inner Temple Mystery School. In it we explore our connection with the sacred that is already here and that sustains us. We look at what it really means to truly EMBODY the sacred, we explore our connection and disconnection with the living world, land consciousness, lineages of our ancestry and so much more. Rapture

Sensuality. Love. Devotion. Romance. Ecstasy. Pleasure.

Flora is the ancient Roman Goddess of spring and flowers. In one myth she was struck by Cupid’s arrow and, overwhelmed by love and completely breathless in a moment of rapture, she called for Eros. However, the sound ‘ros’ came out of her mouth instead. So ‘rose’ became another word for Eros, and it also became the symbol for love, beauty, and passion.

Many patriarchal religions have placed a shameful cloak around sensuality, sex, pleasure, ecstasy, rapture, and sexuality. One of the most natural, pleasurable parts of life has become conditional and judged. The rose wants us to heal from this, and to remember that pleasure, sensuality, sexual preference, and expression of desire can be some of the most sacred, miraculous things about being a human on Earth.

My sensuality is sacred and holy. Other people’s sensuality is sacred and holy. I open myself up to express and receive love in a way that feels safe and good to me. I release painful programming and experiences and return to love.

The call of the soul

 

As souls, we’re on a never-ending spiritual journey. We were on it before we drew our first breath in this life and we will continue on it after we take our last, however, today in our culture, not much is known about the soul – it’s got to be the biggest mystery of them all. You could say, in this life, our spiritual journey begins when we awaken to the possibility that we’re more than just our physical bodies and begin developing a relationship with our soul. This changing awareness is the gateway into our conscious spiritual journey in this life.  Ever since I was young, I’ve been deeply fascinated by the big questions of life. Who are we? What is the soul? What are we doing here? A mystic at heart, I’ve chosen to devote my life to living into this great mystery. To reaching for the part of us that existed before we took our first breath and will live on after we exhale our last. The soul is our inextinguishable, eternal self. Everything your soul has experienced adds to who you are as a soul. When we awaken to this possibility, and begin to spend time discovering who we are as a soul, our spiritual journey begins. When you commit to your spiritual journey, you are committing to connect to your ancient self – the part of you that existed before you were born and will continue long after your last days, so that all parts of you can be fully grounded here. I believe that this inextinguishable part of you is part of the cosmos (the ordered universe) and the intelligent pulse of Life. And the more we connect with this intelligent part of us and develop a relationship with it, the more in flow with the rest of Life we’ll have the chance to be. I call this intelligent part of us the soul. Explore the mysteries of the Soul and embark on a deep inner journey in The Inner Temple Mystery School. We start September 5th.
