Let It Rain

Allowing what is. Inevitability. Trust.

There’s a moment just before it starts to rain when the pressure can be felt. What’s been building up is preparing for a big release. The clouds cannot hold their breath a moment longer and then, right on cue, they surrender the rain they’ve been holding on to, and a downpour finally begins. While we may have preferred to see clear skies abound, a sweet relief can be felt when the waters of the sky return to the ground.

There’s also a special moment that can be felt immediately after the rain stops and the sun reappears from behind the clouds. It’s similar to what happens to us during a good emotional cry. The endorphins that are released as we let our red‑hot tears flow down our cheeks evoke a feeling of sweet relief. Something’s been released, lifted, and cleared. We feel a little lighter and more free.

Card of the day from The Healing Waters Oracle

This card comes with encouragement to surrender to what’s happening in your life. Maybe you’re experiencing a challenge, or something isn’t going to plan. Although you might prefer the sun to shine all year round, there’s intelligence in the rainy days. And there’s healing in your tears. Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain.

6 ways to connect with your spirit guides

You have a team of spirit guides waiting to support you. The only catch is that they cannot help you unless you ask them first.

Carefully chosen and recruited just for you, spirit guides are beings that are completely devoted to your growth. Perfectly suited to your highest calling, their only job is to support you and guide you as much or as little as you wish. Here are 6 simple ways you can develop your relationship with your spirit guides right now:

1. Ask for a sign

Pick a particular object that you want to receive as a way of communicating with your guides. It could be anything from a symbol like a star or a red rose.

The first time I did this I chose a peach feather. Within 60 minutes I found a peach feather waiting for me on my front porch!

Here is a pic of that peach feather!!!

2. Spirit Guides Evocation

When working with spirit guides it’s important to be clear and impeccable with your energy. Here is an evocation I use to connect and receive messages from my guides:

“I call upon my personal team of spirit guides only of the highest realm.

Guides that are here to guide me for the highest benefit of all including me.

Please guide me, please lead me, please show me the way.”

3. Guided Spirit Guides Meditation or Attunement

This is how I first connected with my spirit guides and something I continue to do to deepen my connection with my guides. The most popular meditation on my shop is my Spirit Guides Attunement. I also have a special FREE How to Channel Spirit Guides Meditation and Class available here this week.

4. Channel your guides through intuitive writing

This is where I do my deepest work with my guides. In fact, all of my books and oracles were written after connecting with different guides and beings of the highest realms. My first book was channeled with the Council of Light, my second, The Magdalenes, my third The Grandmother’s of the Earth. I’ll be sharing more about channeling the Goddess in a couple of weeks!

5. Create a spirit guides guidance box

Find yourself a small special box for you to communicate with your spirit guides. On a small piece of paper, write down a question or something specific that you would like their help with. Fold the piece of paper up and put it in the box and trust that guidance will be delivered.

6. Create a Spirit Guides Altar

Create a sacred space for you to connect with and tend to your relationship with your guides every day. Just like any relationship in our lives, in order for it to grow, we must invest quality time into it. As this relationship is with the unseen, having a physical place to embody this connection can really help in tending to it.

If you would like to deepen your connection with your guides and channel messages from them, I have a FREE meditation and class that you can download instantly here for the next week.

And that is rebirth

Having my son ripped my heart wide open.

And it almost destroyed me. But creation cannot exist without destruction.

It wasn’t the physicalness, Goddess knows that was intense. It was my heart.

In those first days postpartum, each time I entered the room, a wise woman friend would announce ‘here comes the Goddess’.

I squirmed and scoffed it off at first with my unwashed hair, cracked nipples and nervous system that was on high alert for potential threat and danger.

But then through the morning light,

I saw my son. Like really saw him.

The soul who had arrived.

And for a fleeting moment that felt like an entire lifetime, I could see that she was right. To him I was THE Goddess.

Creator. Bringer of Life.

And in that moment I was a goner.

How could I possibly receive the amount of love that he was directing towards me?

It couldn’t be humanly possible to hold that amount of love inside one human heart.

And it made me think, if he came in with that amount of love then maybe I did too. Maybe we all did.

Were our mother’s able to receive it?

Is any mother able to fully receive the soul who has arrived earthside?

Is that the original wound?

And then love did what it knows how to do best. It brought up everything that was unlike it. And each time it does we get to decide to either put it in a box and throw away the key. Or keep your heart open and let the love of the world blast through you.

The first is easier, it’s what we were taught to do. The latter will rip you to smithereens. But if you let it break you,

it will also remake you.

And that is rebirth.

Let It Go

Release the past. Forgive. Soften. Move forward.

Change is one of the most difficult things for our heart and mind to accept. Maybe you’re on the brink of an ending, a hurt, or a loss. Or perhaps you experienced an ending in the past but are still carrying the pain within your heart and your mind.

Just as the shoreline doesn’t try to hold on to the sea, this card comes with encouragement to begin the process of letting go. Letting go is rarely something that happens in an instant. More often, it’s a process that can take days, weeks, months, or even years. The process always begins with a willingness and a wanting to be free of what once was.

Holding on to an emotion such as sorrow, anger, or disappointment is a normal part of the process, and in order to be free of it we must first feel it fully. Emotions are feelings in motion. They’re not meant to be stagnant. Water is the same. It wants to move and flow. When we allow our emotions to be there fully, they rarely last as long as they would do if we repressed them. When we avoid endings, for whatever reason, the symbolic waters within us can build up and become stagnant.

Card of the day from The Healing Waters Oracle

Call upon the waters within you to flow freely. Let the dammed walls of past hurts come tumbling down. Let the waters within you travel out into the world. Let them find their way past stones and riverbanks. New streams are calling you forth. Let the ocean call you home.

They say you lose yourself in motherhood

I’m not who I was. That is clear.

But I am also not just mother.

I am something else undefined.

The pull between one and two is confusing.

I do not long for the one who was me, she is gone.

Contrary to what society says I should want, I am not complete with the second, that role does not scratch the surface of Me or She.

Here I stand in the bloody ashes of the first and the milky mess of the second.

They say you will lose yourself in motherhood like it’s something you will and should endeavour to re-find.

Not possible. The great cosmic void of transformation will not allow it.

Who I was is not lost TO ME, who I was is now lost in the expanse OF ME.

Who I am could not even begin to squeeze into the frame of who I was.

She could not even embody half of me.

For I became a portal for the force of entire universe to roar through me.

The primordial waters were my waters and they grew actual Life.

So no, my body will never be the same.

How could it?

Neither will my heart and my soul.

Who would want it?

For they hold the entire world now.

Cleansing

Releasing the old. Energetic tune‑up. New beginnings.

Water has been deeply associated with both physical and spiritual cleansing since ancient times. We use water to cleanse our day away as we bathe, and many of the world’s faith traditions use water as a means of spiritual purification, from immersion in holy rivers to baptism and ritual baths.

Pilgrims around the world journey to numerous sites for the healing and cleansing qualities of their waters. The water in the grounds of Japan’s Hongu Sengen Taisha, a Shinto shrine at the foot of sacred Mount Fuji, is seen as both deeply holy and self-purifying. Flowing from the melting snow at the volcano mountain’s summit, it forms washing pools that call people to them from near and far.

Many believe that these pools are very mystical and powerful. Local legend says that the depth of the pool waters magically changes according to the size of the person who enters them, adapting to the level of their submergence.

Card of the day from The Healing Waters Oracle

While visiting the healing water sites of the world is an incredible thing to do, we don’t need to travel to experience the healing and cleansing power of water for ourselves. You probably already use water in this way, although perhaps not consciously. As you shower or bathe or as you wash your hands, consider the water, and call on it to support you by washing away what’s coming to an end or is no longer in alignment, leaving space for what you’d like to birth anew.

What kind of Lightworker are you?

Understanding the Essence of a Lightworker

The inner light is the soul. A Lightworker is an awake soul who has made the conscious decision to live in alignment with their soul. They know that we are all interconnected and that their presence has the potential to create a positive change.

They have made the conscious decision to devote their whole life, to following what lights them up and, by default, to lighting up the world with their presence. They understand that their actions (no matter how big or small) have the potential to create change.

What is a lightworker?

My definition of a Lightworker is: someone who wholeheartedly makes the decision to make the world a brighter place by them being in it. The more conscious we get, the higher our vibration and the more aligned to Source we become. The more conscious we are, the more we see how everything is connected and how we fit into a larger whole.

Letters to a starseedThe Balance of Light and Shadow

A Lightworker is not all about light and love, quite the contrary. Light is not possible without journeying to the depths and facing the shadow. They know that being a lightworker involves continually facing their shadow in order to transmute their wounds into gifts.

And that proper light work is not possible without doing so. This is what it means to WORK your light, which lightworkers are committed to doing. It is a way of living, not a one time thing.

The Diverse Roles of LightworkersBreaking Stereotypes

Lightworkers are not just tie-dye wearing hippies and healers. Far from it. They are teachers and chefs, writers and singers, producers and cleaners, mothers and mediums. They’re at the sports club and the nightclub, in the café and crèche, the boardroom and the art room.

Answering the Call of Source

A Lightworker is someone who makes a conscious decision to endeavour to answer the call of Source over the call of the fear.

Lightworkers are in tune with the callings of their soul and act on its whispers regardless of fear. They commit to living a courageous life.

Through my soul readings and mentoring, I have discovered that most Lightworkers fit into two categories: Newly Awakened Lightworkers and Old School/Retro Lightworkers. I wrote about this in my first book, Light Is the New Black.

The Journey of Spiritual Awakening

Are you feeling a deeper connection to your inner light? It might be a sign that you are on the path of spiritual awakening, a journey that many lightworkers find themselves embarking upon.

Heightened Empathy: You might find yourself more tuned into the feelings and energies of others, experiencing a deeper sense of understanding and compassion. This heightened empathy often leads to a desire to help others and to make the world a better place, which is a core aspect of being a lightworker.Synchronicities: Another sign is experiencing synchronicities, those magical moments where everything seems to align perfectly, guiding you towards your spiritual calling.Renewed Sense of Purpose: As you walk this path, you might also find a renewed sense of purpose, a feeling that you are here for a reason and that you have a unique role to play in this lifetime. This is your spiritual calling beckoning, urging you to step into your light and embrace your true self.

As we delve deeper into the journey of a lightworker, it is essential to understand how to navigate the challenges that might arise, including encountering dark energy.

Overcoming Dark Energy

In the journey of spiritual awakening, it is not uncommon to encounter dark energy. But what exactly is dark energy, and how can you protect yourself?

Understanding Dark Energy: Dark energy can be thought of as lower vibrational energy that can potentially hinder your spiritual growth. It might manifest as negative thoughts, self-doubt, or even encounters with individuals who drain your positive energy.Grounding Yourself: To navigate through dark energy, it is vital to ground yourself regularly. Grounding can be achieved through various practices such as meditation, spending time in nature, or engaging in activities that bring you joy and foster positive energy.Protection Techniques: Protection is another crucial aspect. Visualising a shield of light around you can be a powerful way to protect yourself from dark energy. Regular cleansing of your energy field, perhaps through practices such as sage smudging or working with crystals, can also be beneficial.

As we move forward, it becomes essential to identify your specific path as a lightworker, understanding whether you are a newly awakened individual or someone who has been on this path for lifetimes. Let’s delve deeper into this in the next section, helping you to identify your lightworker path.

Identifying Your Lightworker Path

Are you experiencing a sudden surge of awareness, a feeling like you’ve been awakened from a deep slumber? You might be a newly awakened lightworker, stepping freshly onto this path of spiritual enlightenment.

Newly Awakened Lightworkers

Newly Awakened Lightworkers tend to have a significant awakening experience spurred on by a life event. Once awakened, it is hard for them to go back to sleep, and they feel that things can never be the same. Their consciousness has shifted and they may decide to answer the call to be of service.

Newly awakened Lightworkers seem to be able to jump right in and make big life changes in response to answering the newly awakened call within them. This can take the form of altering your career path to one that aligns more with your soul’s purpose, or seeking out communities where you can connect with others on a similar path.

It’s a time of transformation, of shedding the old to make way for the new.

Old School or Retro Lightworkers

Old School/Retro Lightworkers come in knowing. They have been doing this work for lifetimes and as a result may find that they have considerable fear around stepping forward (due to a soul memory of persecution). They are likely to have always had a knowing that they were here for a reason and that there was work to do, and a feeling that time is running out.

It’s common for this type of Lightworker to erect a spiritual closet from a young age, and as a result, revealing to the world who they really are is a scary process for them. While some Lightworkers alive right now incarnated with a conscious mission to be of service (and have been doing so for lifetimes), there are countless souls awakening to the call to be of service.

Anyone who chooses to devote their lives to being a bright light in the world IS a Lightworker. There are no snobby spiritual tests to pass or assignments to hand in. The only requirement is a desire to connect with your own authentic light and a longing to serve the world. I call it working your light.

The Journey of Working Your Light

Just by reading this you are working your light. By following what you love, you are working your light.  By choosing a higher thought when you find yourself in a bad mood, you are working your light. By encouraging someone instead of criticizing them you are working your light. By sharing your unique gifts you are working your light.

By connecting to the unlimited supply of love in The Universe, you are working your light. By being true to yourself, you are working your light. By being kind and compassionate, you are working your light.

Moving through Self-Discovery and Acceptance

Are you wondering how to embrace your true self fully? It begins with a journey of self-discovery and acceptance. As a lightworker, it is essential to delve deep into your inner world, exploring your desires, fears, and the unique gifts that you bring to this world.

During this journey, you might find yourself drawn to different spiritual practices, perhaps exploring meditation, yoga, or diving into spiritual literature to understand your path better. It is a time of nurturing your inner light, allowing it to grow and expand, guiding you towards your true calling.

Develop Your Unique Gifts

What unique gifts do you bring to this world? As a lightworker, you have unique gifts that wait to be discovered and nurtured. It might be a healing touch, a gift for empathic understanding, or a talent for artistic expression.

Developing your unique gifts is a vital part of your lightworker path. It involves exploring different avenues, perhaps through courses, workshops, or self-study, to hone your skills and abilities. You may find resources and guidance to help you on this path in the lightworker category of our blog.

See the Interconnectedness of All

As you become more conscious, do you notice a change in your perception? The more conscious we are, the more we see how everything is connected and how we fit into a larger whole. It’s about recognising the interconnectedness of all things and understanding your role in the grand scheme of things.

Nurture Your Inner Light

How can you nurture your inner light daily? It might involve meditation, journaling, or spending time in nature. These practices help you to connect with your inner self, nurturing the light within and allowing it to shine brightly.

Build a Supportive Community

How can you find like-minded individuals on a similar path? Building a supportive community is a vital step in your lightworker journey. Connecting with others who share your vision and understanding can provide a safe space to share experiences, learn from each other, and grow together.

You might find solace in online communities or local groups where you can connect with others who are also responding to a spiritual calling. Remember, you are not alone on this path, and building a community can provide the support and encouragement you need as you walk this path.

As we move forward on this enlightening journey, it is time to explore the practical ways you can work your light in everyday life, fostering positive energy and making a tangible difference in the world. Let’s delve deeper into this in the next section.

Letters To A Starseed by Rebecca CampbellScreenshot 2021-04-14 at 18.51.10

Challenges and Rewards on the Lightworker’s PathThe Challenges of Elevated Consciousness

As you embark on this path of heightened awareness, you may find yourself becoming more sensitive to the energies around you. Many Lightworkers may find that as they raise their consciousness, they become more energetically sensitive, picking up other people’s feelings, energy and thoughts.

You may notice that you find it hard to watch the news or violent films. You may also find that old relationships that were built on manipulation, control and fear are starting to drop away as you are no longer an energetic match to them.

The Rewards of Letting Go

Letting go of relationships and habits that no longer serve you can be seen as a reward in itself. It is a cleansing process, a release of the old to make space for the new, more aligned connections and positive experiences to enter your life. It’s a journey towards authenticity, where you attract relationships and opportunities that resonate with your true self.

Leading the Way in Global Awakening

For some time now, we have been living in a largely unconscious state. In order for Mother Earth to survive we need a global awakening. This awakening has already begun and I believe that you are one of the souls who chose to lead the planet this way.

But there is hope, as this awakening has already begun, and you are one of the souls that can lead the way. It’s a path of courage, stepping forward to be a beacon of light in a world that is slowly waking up to a higher state of collective consciousness again.

The Joy of Serving a Higher Purpose

Being a part of this global awakening is a reward in itself. It’s about serving a higher purpose, being connected to a mission that is much larger than yourself. It brings a sense of fulfillment and joy, knowing that you are contributing to a movement that seeks to bring healing, love, and light to the world.

The Role of Community in the Awakening Process

As you step forward to lead in this time of awakening, remember that you are not alone. There is a community of lightworkers, a collective of souls working towards the same goal. Connecting with others on the same path can provide support, understanding, and a sense of belonging. It’s about building a network of light, a community that uplifts each other and works together to bring positive change to the world.

As we come to the end of this exploration of the lightworker’s path, it is clear that it is a journey filled with both challenges and rewards, a path of self-awareness, deep personal growth and service to the higher good. For many on the path to embracing their conscious mission, consider learning more about the Sanctuary membership.

Embrace Your Own Authentic Light

So what kind of Lightworker are you? Are you a newly awakened Lightworker who has answered the call to be of service and ready to step up? Or are you an old school retro Lightworker who came in knowing and maybe has spent a bit of time hanging out in a spiritual closet?

If you resonate with being a Lightworker and want guidance on embracing your soul gifts and answering your calling, check out my first book,  Light Is the New Black  and my oracle deck, the  Work Your Light Oracle .

The law of the new earth

We are going through a period of great healing and great change. Along with the planet you are rebuilding who you are from mind to cell. Your heart needs to be the centre of it all.

This is really what it means to be a mystic, to follow the path of the heart. It will never fail you. And at a time where all external structures are crumbling this is really all that remains. The path of the heart is the steadiest there is. Trust the path of the heart above all else.

When we do this we stop trying to figure it all out and shift into living into the present moment. We have all felt it when we are with someone our soul recognises and we deeply love, and it seems like everything stands still.

Our nervous system co-regulates with theirs and we feel held and safe. This is the state that is best for us, where all healing happens and where our intuition resides.

If you spend more time in this space life will expand. Your worldly striving will fall away and be replaced with proper attraction. People will feel the heart expanse that you transmit. Let that be your calling card.

The days of hustle, over exhaustion and producing over creating are coming to an end. Those that choose potency over producing, heart over head, slow over overdrive will be the ones who lead today.

Release all the unnecessary time wasting, energy wasting, money wasting, resource wasting parts of your life. While in the past they used to get you ahead, now as we enter into this new age they will become less and less productive and effective. The earth is making sure of it. Anything not sustainable will not flourish. This is the new law of the earth.

Follow the stream

Dedication. Trust. Future rivers and oceans.

Streams can begin as small trickles and end up as immense rivers and vast oceans. They’ve been providing humanity with sustenance since we first appeared on this planet. Follow the stream and trust that one day, it’ll carry you to the rivers and oceans of your future.

You’re being called to surrender to the current of the waters that you’re in – to trust the path you’re walking and to keep showing up, day after day, to what you’re building. What might seem like a small trickle right now holds the promise of becoming a river or ocean in the world. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and trust your path.

This is a card of trust. You may not yet be able to see the future outcome, or perhaps you’re not quite sure how to get to where you’re going. On the journey, there will be many steps that require faith. This may be one of them. You’re being encouraged to find that faith. To keep facing your true north, to follow the stream and let it carry you.

Card of the day from The Healing Waters Oracle

So, commit to your passions and be dedicated to what you’re creating. Keep showing up, day after day after day. If you do, before you know it, you’ll have created something huge, simply by showing up in small, consistent ways.
