Book Banter EP 65: SEO Tips

Hello My Happy People,

Today I am sharing some of the basic information I have been learning as I continue to improve the SEO for Burckhardt Books, Book Banter with Dianne Burckhardt, and our social media. As a sole proprietor, as many indies are, I am having to teach myself how to best optimize our sites so search engines will effectively connect Burckhardt Books and Book Banter with Dianne Burckhardt with our target markets.

SEO set up and maintenance can seem very intimidating to the novice, but even small improvements in the SEO for your site can bring more engagement with your desired audience. I share a few beginning steps to get you started on your own SEO to try to help increase site engagement.

If you are one of the SEO newbies, do not let anxiety stop you from working to improve your SEO setup. Every step in the right direction will be beneficial.

Frida Funnies: Revenge of the Fifth!

Hello My Happy People,

Things are getting back to normal here at home and I am getting some great writing done. I hope to get a few more chapters finished this weekend. I also agreed to read an advanced copy of a book by another indie author because I liked the premiss. So far, it's really interesting. Once I finish it, I may ask her to come on the podcast to talk about it and give you a sneak peek of it too.

Hello My Happy People,In 2015, I started self-publishing books under the pen name Stephen Burckhardt. In today's episode, I share an update on my current works in progress. I am working on finishing up the Into the West Saga Serial under my pen name and will be doing a reading from the final book in that serial, Into the West: Family Ties.I also share what is going on with my first book I am working on which will be published under my own name. Friday Funnies: The Best Medicine

Hello My Happy People,

So we have all finally turned the corner and are getting healthy again in our home. Shaggy has been cleared by the vet and does not have to go back for anymore check ups unless he has problems. He is doing great and eating like a champ so we are all relieved!

My husband and I have finally started to feel better as well. We both came down with a horrible respiratory thing but we both went to the doctor this last week and it did us a lot of good. I'm sure our neighbors will be glad when we stop coughing completely. I know I will!

If ou are like me, you find it hard to just rest. Even when I am in bed, I still need to write or update the website. I can never just sleep in the day or watch movies all day long. SO I have actually been working on Into the West: Family Ties more as a form of "resting".

Hello My Happy People,

I'm sorry to say that I will have to postpone this week's podcast. I just can't talk that much without coughing my head off. It's just too hard on me. So instead we will be rebroadcasting my author interview with Val Collins. If you have not listened to this podcast before I suggest you do so this week. Manic Monday Vlog: Germ-fiesta!

Hello My Happy People,

Today is a short message. Our home has just become a total germ-fiesta. P.R. has come down with my cold and for once it hit him worse than it hit me. Could be because I just had this in January and again in February so I think my body is just getting used to it. We both went to the doctor today so hopefully we will kick this soon!

Shaggy had a very good day and we are hoping now that he is done with his meds his stomach will settle down once and for all. I hope he has a long stretch of good health now. He needs the rest, so do we!

I'm off to take my meds and get Shaggy out for his last walk of the night. Don't forget to check out the podcast this Wednesday. If I can keep from coughing too much, I am going to give you an update on the books I am working on, Into the West: Family Ties and The Touch. I will be reading a bit from each of those books and tell you about what I have coming up for next year as well.

Saturday Update: Me and Shaggy

Hello My Happy People,

I hope all is going well for you wherever you are. If you have seen my Facebooks posts, You know my dog, Shaggy, came home very sick from the sitters and spent a week in the veterinary clinic. He is home again and doing better but not completely healed just yet. His prognosis is good, but it will take time.

I forgot a mask when I rushed to get him to the vet and have been sick myself ever since. I literally went through three boxes of tissues in two days. I hate this feeling. So if you noticed that I skipped this weeks Manic Monday and Friday Funnies, it's because I was just too wiped out to do them. I have been putting all my energy into taking care of my dog.

I hope this week will be better and I can get back into the routine. This is the trouble with being basically a "one woman operation." When I go down, there is no one to cover for me.

So this kind of gives you a Manic Monday update and I will drop in a cute video to give you a giggle to make up for no funnies yesterday.
