Would You Rather Have a Job or a Life?

I was getting ready to work out this morning, when some guy on the news talked about how jobs are increasing and…

I don't know why, it just bothered me. It bothered me because I think most people want a LIFE instead of a job.

So here a few quick ways to avoid settling for a job and getting a life instead:

1 - The next time you are on an interview and someone says, "It's a great foot in the door." Your response should be; "If it's such a great foot in the door, then why don't you take it!"

I'm h...

What's a Pink Razor For?

I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I used my girlfriend's pink razor the other day. Why? Because, believe it or not, there wasn't any difference between hers and the ones I used to use.

So what is the REAL difference?

Marketing.

Which leads me to ask you this:

• As a guy, have you ever used a pink razor?

• As a girl, have you ever loaned your boyfriend/husband a pink razor? Why not? Is there REALLY any difference?

As a company you might want to think about the power of this. Do you have any ...

Time Limit Control Freak

People seem to put a time limit on what they want to do with their life (and this isn't good). What do I mean? I mean if you can't control something, why are you trying to?

Look, I was guilty of this earlier on, before I met "The Billionaire." His response; "put a date on things you can control." Although it doesn't sound like much, I'm willing to say that it is a BIGGER problem than you think in both your business and personal life.

So here are a few ideas that I think would help you move ...

The Biggest Mistake in Finding a Mentor

I think there are a lot of mistakes people make in trying to find their ultimate mentor, but here is probably the biggest most helpful one. You don't put yourself in their shoes.

Here is why:

1 – You want their help… but they spend very little time answering emails. And what do you do? Send them a whole entire book on why they should help you.

2 – Your communication isn't professional.

I remember when I first met "The Billionaire," in my book, "The Poet and the Billionaire" who has been my ul...

The Benefits of "Negative" and "Positive" People

I know "positive" people don't like to be around "negative" people but here is why both are necessary for your business and personal life.

1 – "Negative" people can see things that "positive" people miss.

I was recently watching one of the best new shows I've seen for entrepreneurs named, "Shark Tank." It's where entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to a panel of VERY successful business owners to possibly fund their projects to help take it to the next level.

What is interesting, though, is that ...

Six Mistakes to Finding the Ultimate Mentor

What are they?
1 – Anyone can get a mentor.
2 - You want a mentor so they can introduce you to their rolodex of people.
3 – You think a "coach" will do the same thing.
4 – You think your rich uncle Joe can serve as a great mentor.
5 - You think that anyone with some money in the bank can help you get from where you are to where you want to be (and mentor you).
6 – You only want a mentor to get rich (wait did I already say that).

I know these are only a few, but how important to know what the...

Can't Find a Mentor?

I remember sending about a hundred or so emails in my search for a mentor, and then I looked in the mirror and said to myself, "Wait… maybe I'm the reason no one wanted to mentor me?"

I know, it's REALLY hard to hear things when someone point's it back to you and taking 100% responsibility for why things are the way they are is hard to swallow (when things aren't good).

However, I also feel as if we all need to step up and take some personal responsibility for where we are at in our own lives....
