Allergies, Nuts and GMOs - Allergies Increasing and Nutrition Decreasing
Allergies, Nuts and GMOs - Allergies Increasing and Nutrition Decreasing
Perhaps allergies are on the rise also because of processed food using GMOs – up to 70% of processed food contains a GM ingredient.
When I studied biotechnology law at Michigan State College of Law in a Global Food Law program, my professor mentioned GMOs potentially can disrupt the human body's cellular machinery.
Thankfully I only had one allergic reaction to tree nuts in my lifetime and that was Brazilian nuts (a nut I am quite fond of and have eaten many times before). The grocer I bought the Brazilian nuts from however had them (a less popular and less frequently purchased nut) in a container already shelled and thus exposed to the air ....whereby small white spots were appearing - mold and aflatoxins.
I had an allergic reaction that felt like I was going to stop breathing, scratch my eyes out and vomit all at the same time (while my eyes and ears tingled, throat burned and felt dry, I couldn't breathe, and simultaneously felt like I was going to throw up) ....all after eating 8 or more Brazilian nuts on the way home from a Queens, NY "organic" grocer who neglected to ensure proper food safety for stale nuts.
After recovering from the brutal experience, I did some research and found Cornell did a study on aflatoxins in nuts (also heavily found in corn), which in Brazilian nuts fed turkeys in the 1960s resulted in the death of 100,000 turkeys.
http://www.ansci.cornell.edu/plants/t...
It seems today's food manufacturers and processing facilities often employ water to wet and weaken the shell of many nuts (Brazilian nuts more likely so since it is such a hard shell - likely the way God intended it to prevent mold in the humid rainforest of Brazil).
When food processors soak nuts in water to easily break, package, and sell they expose consumers to aflatoxins (via the ease of convenient consumption after exposure to the elements for a prolonged period of time).
Since many food plants processing nuts also process other staples, it is not surprising combined with the ubiquitous use of GMOs in the "food" supply and "king corn" (collecting in silos with aflatoxins) that allergies are on the rise.
So many drinks and "food" products have corn (and corn syrup) in them....and if corn is prone to mold again it is not surprising allergies are increasing in response to an increase of corn usage and aflatoxins therein.
Combine this with Bt pesticides, herbicides and God only knows what else is in GMOs and a recipe for disaster explains why the body's only defense is to mount an allergic reaction in an attempt to reject the foul and unwanted substances therein.

Student Retention Trainer - Academic Success Speaker
Student Retention Trainer - Academic Success Speaker
Recently I was asked by a college adviser seeking counsel to improve student retention and academic success at their institution the following questions:
What experience do you have related to planning and executing professional development programs, volunteer service activities, or customer-service training for college/university students and staff?
As a life coach and licensed minister I have been serving in a developmental capacity for 20 years (to young adults and professionals).
Describe your experience working with diverse student populations in a post-secondary educational setting.
Worldwide Motivational Speaker who has lived overseas extensively, touched 70 nations, taught in a D grade high-school where whites were the minority, and lived in Queens, NY the most diverse county in the country.
What are the top five reasons students don't finish a community college program (assume their goals are to finish)? Pick one and describe how you would help a student complete the program, if that was the reason given for wanting to drop out?
- social distractions
- lack of vision
- lack of mentoring
- lack of faith in themselves
- poor study skills
If a student is exhibiting difficulties learning, what would you do to help that student succeed?
Speak and listen to them to see how I can help.
In your opinion, what are the most important components to a student disciplinary code?
Fairness and consistency of punishment.
What is the most frustrating work-related experience you have faced? How did you deal with it? What did you learn from it?
Leadership with no vision, comfortable and arrogantly sitting in the title of their position.
As a student retention trainer and academic success speaker, I help universities, colleges and students improve learning environments and outcomes for faculty and students. Please contact me if I may be of service to you.

Angry Kids, Rebellious Children, Heartless Parents
I had a bit of anger in my heart toward my stepmother for years as she used me as her yard slave and chore boy throughout my youth while lavishing all her affection and gifts on her biological son and withholding from me.....both financially and emotionally.......but from the pain I now write and speak to youth worldwide ....so God had a plan to turn the mess into a message.
Every child and relationship is uniquely different so you need the Spirit of God to awaken, illuminate, lead and guide you within.
For more prophetic insight, life-changing messages, to invite me to speak in your city, or for life coaching...

Corporate Identity, Branding Consultant for Corporate Renewal
Corporate Identity, Branding Consultant for Corporate Renewal
Corporate identity determines a company's culture and destiny. People change their wardrobe and clothing every so often to feel and look fresh. Yet most corporations remain stuck in outdated modes and methods of operation, while never examining, revisiting and updating their corporate identity.
As a branding consultant, executive coach, and worldwide corporate trainer for skill development and transformation; I am often asked to consult CEOs and upper level management in corporations to help them stay current with the times and better connect with consumers, while strategically re-branding and re-packaging their corporate identity, image, products and services to better appeal to a younger generation, remain relevant to the aging baby boomers, and enlarge their vision for global expansion.
Creatively navigating between generations in marketing and simultaneously enlarging your branding and marketing approach so your corporate identity is globally aware and astute to be able to reach the growing global marketplace takes great skill and someone who has lived overseas and traveled the world extensively.
I have done both living overseas in several continents and touching 70 nations in my world travels thus far. I also lived in Queens, New York City (the most diverse county in the country) while studying Global Affairs and International Business at New York University enabling me to have a good feel for the pulse and heartbeat of an increasingly diverse America and able to understand the various ethnic communities among us.
Most corporations are led by top-heavy old guys in suits who don't get it and their companies are becoming increasingly irrelevant. That is why I'm called upon to impart emotional, cross-cultural and global marketing intelligence to lead a corporate identity shift, renewal and repositioning.

Divorce Recovery, Healing a Broken Heart
Divorce Recovery, Healing a Broken Heart
In an abusive marriage - considering divorce or separating? Already divorced but now trying to go through divorce recovery and regain your joy for living?
I've been through this myself and is why I wrote the following books:
- Breakthrough For A Broken Heart
- Stop Lusting and Start Living
- Adultery 101
- Are You Ready For True Love?
- Empowering and Liberating Women?
Now I am wanting to help divorcees, single parents, single moms, single dads, step-parents and people en route to divorce (though I encourage marital reconciliation if possible and you can pray in a miracle).
Nevertheless after enduring months of my ex-wife's infidelity (the most unbeknownst to me until the end when it was time for me to move on with my life) I divorced as even God gives one liberty to do due to marital unfaithfulness.
Was it easy? Of course not! Did it hurt? Yes! Was it painful uprooting my life and beginning again. Yes, but it got easy real quick once I finalized the divorce and no longer had to contend with living with a half-hearted individual going through a midlife crisis at 30 years of age as she began gaining weight and becoming insecure.
Two years later I met a wonderful former model from Canada and happily remarried (7 years married now with a baby girl arriving in 3 weeks). God is good and gave me double for my trouble (Job 42:11).
Alright #Facebook #Twitter #Linkedin #friends, #divorcees and #heartbroken people trying to recover from #divorce, decide if you should divorce, #separate ....and how to deal with the #kids, #stepkids and #StepParenting ????
Post your #questions here below and I will take them to prayer and write a reply in a book without mentioning your names ....just answering the questions.

Food Insecurity and The Global Land Grab
Food Insecurity and The Global Land Grab
The geostrategy of nations to secure land amid food insecurity and environmental changes is changing the way nations do agriculture and feed their people.
Four Interesting Facts:
"Brazil State-owned Chinese firm Chongqing Grain Group has reportedly
begun harvesting soybeans on some 500,000 acres in Brazil's Bahia
state for export to China. The Group announced in early 2011 that
as part of a multibillion-dollar investment package in Bahia, it would
develop a soybean industrial park with facilities capable of crushing
1.5 million tons of soybeans per year" (Brown, Chapter 10).
"Ethiopia Saudi Star Agricultural Development, owned by Saudi billionaire
Mohammed Al-Amoudi, leased 24,700 acres for rice production in
Ethiopia's Gambella region in 2010. Paying less than $1.00 per acre
per year for this 50-year lease, the firm was growing rice on just 860
acres as of mid-2012. Eventually, Saudi Star intends to obtain
another 716,000 acres in the region, with much of the rice harvest to
be exported to Saudi Arabia" (Ibid).
"Russia South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries has purchased two
Russian farms totaling more than 40,000 acres north of Vladivostok.
The firm planned to produce 16,000 tons of corn, oats, wheat, and
soybeans on this land in 2012, all of it destined for South Korea" (Ibid).
Securing land for food crops accounts for 37% of large scale land acquisitions (Oct.2008 - Aug. 2009) with the primary targeted regions being Sub-Saharan Africa (70.1%) and Southeast Asia (14.7%).
That being said you had better secure your beach front property and dream home now [ www.Beach-Homes.org ] before prices further rise with the dramatic increase in millionaires worldwide.

Future Food Supply and Environmental Threats
Future Food Supply and Environmental Threats
The future food supply will face not only the challenges of industrialized monoculture coupled with genetic manipulations that alter the ecosystem, but also must contend with environmental threats.
"The gravest environmental threats facing the earth are loss of biodiversity, freshwater depletion, release of nitrogen and other pollutants, and greenhouse gas emissions" (Godfray 2).
"The impact of changes in the Arctic," the "thawing of the permafrost beneath the East Siberian Sea is leading to the release of large amounts of methane – that means an intensification of the greenhouse gas effect and more extreme weather" costing "$60 trillion – almost the size of the entire global economy" (Zakaria).
"Permafrost soils are warming even faster than Arctic air temperatures, as much as 2.7 to 4.5 degrees Fahrenheit [1.5 to 2.5 degrees Celsius] in just the past 30 years," Charles Miller, a research scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., said in a statement."
"The environmental impacts of this past trend trajectory
would, as illustrated, increase global land clearing to a total of
∼1 billion ha by 2050, global agricultural GHG emissions to ∼3 Gt
y−1 of CO2-carbon equivalents, and global N use to ∼250 Mt y−1.
These increases would have major environmental impacts through
resultant species extinctions, loss of ecosystem services, elevated
atmospheric GHG levels, and water pollution" (Tilman 3).

Juicing Vegetables - Juice Smoothies, Best Blender, Best Juicer and Health Secrets
Juicing Vegetables - Juice Smoothies, Best Blender, Best Juicer and Health Secrets
A friend recently asked me about juicing vegetables, since he hates eating them. It is a lot of work I agree, all the chewing. I and my wife often save the energy and time spent chewing vegetables by juicing our vegetables and making delicious juice smoothies.
But I don't recommend drinking store bought juice unless it is organic, fresh squeezed and has the fiber remaining in it. Too much sugar and God created vegetables and fruit with fiber for a reason.
I throw my greens in my kick ass blender with a 7 year warranty http://amzn.to/12pIQjy and keep the fiber ....in other words I don't use juicing machines, preferring my blender.
The one exception is when I go to Whole Foods and get a beet, carrot and ginger smoothie; because the beets are so heavy and fibrous, I let them juice it and remove the fiber with http://amzn.to/14fPwLe which masticates real nicely and creates the perfect juice blend.
Blending and juicing really makes vegetables more enjoyable, digestible, saves you time and gives you immediate energy because you spend less time chewing and digesting and more time absorbing the nutrition and utilizing the energy immediately for peak performance and living!
I typically want my fiber and just use grapefruit juice with or organic apples (or organic apple juice) with my kale, spinach, broccoli, rhubarb, carrot blend the baby up then drink it all in a couple glasses (sometimes saving the third for the next day, but you can make smaller portions and serving sizes based on your appetite). It's better to drink it right away rather than allowing the oxidation process to deplete the immediacy of the energy and nutrients.
Fiber slows your body's digestion down in the right way preserving the food and its energy in your body longer, reducing hunger and giving you more fuel to live strong....why Daniel as a vegetarian outperformed the carnivores in Babylon and impressed the king.

Food Writer - Amish Swiss Cheese, Scrambled Eggs from Free Range Chickens and Ezekiel Bread
Food Writer - Amish Swiss Cheese, Scrambled Eggs from Free Range Chickens and Ezekiel Bread
Smell - individually and separately the Swiss cheese smells most appealing and arousing followed by the Ezekiel bread (whole grains). The eggs both in and once broken out of the shell don't have a particular smell that is overly discernible to me. At times eggs kind of faintly smell like a female orgasm (to be frank and hopefully not utterly disgust anyone). However after being cooked eggs do have a distinct clean, wholesome smell that is refreshing and invigorating.
Taste - individually and separately each are appetizing and enjoyable, but when combined the meal is delightful. The texture of the toasted whole grain bread combined with the scrambled eggs and Swiss cheese provide a perfect blend of protein, carbohydrates and fat all which taste quite pleasant to me (even more so following a workout at the gym).
Specific satisfaction - beyond the taste which I thoroughly enjoy, I derive additional satisfaction knowing the cheese came from an Amish dairy where more sustainable environmental practices and agriculture occur. Likewise the free range chickens were not closed up indoors, nor made to live in their own feces (as many in America). Neither were these chickens fed genetically modified feed like many birds in the USA. That also makes me happy and feel satisfied.
Ingredients chosen - I selected the above ingredients based on health concerns, taste and ease to make with relatively little time to prepare.
Have I made you hungry?
