United Airlines Complaints - Tell the US Dept of Transportation
I have five recent issues with United Airlines (among many others in the past, as the airline has been terrible for many years).

1. July 27th, 2025 United flight, Los Angeles to Denver
When purchasing a seat upgrade (DDBS9F) for $72.99 United charged me $96.99 an additional $24 in fraudulent taxes on top of the advertised price (a 34% increase above the advertised price).
2. Denver to SFO - Aug 16th on United Flight Number 7228
Two separate flights (one on July 27th).
The other on August 16.
When United Airlines upgraded my seat from Denver to SFO on Aug 16th to first class it charged me 20,000 frequent flyer miles AND a $75 processing fee.
3. United flight from Denver to Tokyo (UA143) on February 25, 2025 the seat 31A I was assigned was broken. The seat did not recline and kept returning to erect straight forward causing me discomfort throughout the entirety of the flight.
I reported the matter to United crew (Cynthia) and she said she noted and documented the problem to be addressed and repaired by ground crew, while apologizing there were no other window seats available for me to enjoy, nor aisle seats only uncomfortable undesirable middle seats between other passengers.
Please refund a portion of my ticket for the inconvenience and discomfort (no less than $350) and not in the form of a future travel voucher, but rather refund to my debit card from which I purchased the ticket.
I paid 793.20 for the flight, plus another $200 for a 3rd piece of luggage to fly comfortably and had a disappointing experience on the longest flight from Denver to Tokyo.
4. United Airlines lost my tripod on the plane in Chicago and never returned it.

Del Air Complaints and Consumer Fraud
My precious beloved, kindhearted and trusting mother (a retired school teacher and widow) paid Del-Air $15,000 to buy a new air-conditioning unit for her home in Clermont, Florida which was recently installed. However, within just a few months, the air-conditioning unit began malfunctioning and stopped working.
Mom was without air-conditioning in her home for two weeks in June and another week in July 2025. Del-Air is too cheap to Fed Express ship parts when consumers are dying under the 100 degree (plus) Florida heat and humidity.
Critical points regarding Del Air to consider after having read countless reviews online (on multiple websites) by customers and what appears to be present and former employees (noted below as evidence), I have concluded the following about Del Air and its business operations (which I will hereafter substantiate in detail with quotes from customers and employees themselves).
1.Selling defective rebuilt AC systems for full price
2.Improperly installing AC systems that continually breakdown
3.Not honoring AC warranties and charging customers for service calls, labor and/or parts
4.Over charging customers for excessive hours of labor “service” when employees are not working, but rather playing on their phones, in their vehicles relaxing and/or smoking
5.Predatory pricing and financing
6.Shoddy workmanship and lacking technical skill and expertise
7.Poor management, customer service, not returning customer calls, and not showing up to scheduled appointments
8.Company is not fully paying and defrauding employees
9.Recurring problems with AC units and systems.
10.Corporate and management problems including toxic work culture, aggressive sales, non-payment to employees and labor violations.
Del Air Complaints and Consumer Fraud reveal a pattern of deception occurring for years worthy of a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT by consumers and CRIMINAL CHARGES to imprison its owners and executives defrauding American and Florida consumers. We are currently building a brand new home. The builder hired DEL AIR as the subcontractor and they installed two brand new Trane units in our new home 3 months ago. (We have not closed on the home yet) but the units have broke at least 4+ times now. It takes a week for the tech to come out. The last time he came on Friday 6/17 made a repair and on Saturday 6/18 the ac was again not working. I read reviews the Del Air has knowingly installed defective units. I'm very frustrated and concerned b/c we're not even in the home yet and already having so many problems. If I could give DelAir zero stars I would. Ridiculous. (Someone who works for Delair also told me they are pulling out of southwest Florida and closing their Fort myers office. I can only imagine how hard it'll be to get a tech out then for warranty issues). BEWARE!

Then he told me that I would have to pay $719! Yes the part was free, but the bill was the service charge. It turns out that I was charged a flat rate for 6 hours on a job that should have taken less than two, Most of that time, the technician was out at his truck and on the phone... but he certainly wasn't working on my system most of that time. When I requested a detail statement of the work performed, I was told by the customer service department, that they don't provide a detail statement, only a general job description. They came out and charged 79 $ for a complete diagnostic. Found leaking coil. cost to fix 1,406 got it to run then they didn't realize the the cond. motor not working properly. have to order. Del Air tried to charge full price for a repair on a warranty part. System was installed in a new construction home and came with a 5 year factory warranty on parts. System had a motor module fail before 3 years and the tech said it is not under warranty. Uncle paid the service call to be lied to about warranty part so he sent him away knowing he was taking advantage. He then called me to tell me what happened so I fixed it. After calling to complain they said that it was under warranty and it would be $300 for labor instead of $800 for parts and labor. Uncle would have been perfectly happy to pay that at the time but it was too late considering they didn't get back to me to tell me that until I called back 3 weeks later as they never returned our calls. They didn't honor the factory warranty on a system they installed and tried taking advantage of my uncle.

If I could use a zero I would. This company came to my house to service two air conditioning systems. One apparently just needed reset. They reset it and charged me a typical $79.95 diagnostic charge which was okay. The next unit he put one pound of freon in and charged me $79.95 and $80.00 for the freon. It froze up again the very next day and sent another technician out. He said it was the TXV thermal expansion valve. It was going to cost $775 to fix. He didn't have the parts and it was late and he said someone would contact me the next day. Two days later I contacted them and they said that the cost would be $933. I contacted another company and they came out and fixed it for $80. I wrote a review on Google and they said they wanted my name and phone number. So I gave them the information and two days later they still hadn't contacted me. I called them and finally I spoke with a supervisor and he said he would have to talk to a manager. I waited a week and they never got back to me so I called again and he said what do you want. I told him I wanted a refund. He said okay. Its been two weeks and still no refund.

Consider another AC sales and service company. It seems Del-Air has too much business, or too little staff right now to take good care of its customers.
Del-Air installed a Lennox heat pump in my new home in 2013. The evaporator coil starting leaking sometime in the first 3 years, and the system stopped functioning in July . A replacement coil was offered for $550, though the system was still under warranty, and there was a class action lawsuit settlement with Lennox for these coils in 2015. I paid the service call, the freon recharge, the leak test, and the coil replacement cost. 2 years later, the replacement coil had leaked another 4 pounds of refrigerant, and the system stopped cooling in May . By July, Del-Air located a specially "coated" coil, and offered to install it for $550 (plus the cost of the service calls, the leak tests and the freon charge to get me to July). In August , the system once again stopped cooling efficiently, and I asked for a service call to check for freon leaks. The Technician arrived without functioning leak detection equipment and told me he did not know when he return. He offered to charge my system, unaware of the exact cause of the leak. Del-Air later offered to send out another technician to perform a leak test for a separate fee (1st call + freon + a second call for leak testing => $500). I called to ask whether they would honor the $550 price for a replacement coil, and I learned the replacement would be over $1300 this time. That would bring the total cost to keep this system running for almost 8 years to more than $5k. Del-Air made no attempt to offer me any other solutions.

I strongly do NOT recommend this company for any reason. They offer subpar work, and their handling of customers is disgraceful. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I will gladly assist others who've had similar experiences. Companies like this should not be allowed to continue operating unchecked.
From the first week I moved into my brand-new home, I've had problems with my AC system. Last year, I paid close to $1,000 to replace a valve--now I'm being told it was the wrong valve, and the quote to fix it is over $2,100.
Customer service is nonexistent. The representatives are uncommunicative, uncaring, and show no urgency or empathy.

My precious beloved, kindhearted and trusting mother (a retired school teacher and widow) paid Del-Air $15,000 to buy a new air-conditioning unit for her home in Clermont, Florida which was recently installed. However, within just a few months, the air-conditioning unit began malfunctioning and stopped working.
Mom was without air-conditioning in her home for two weeks in June and another week in July 2025. Del-Air is too cheap to Fed Express ship parts when consumers are dying under the 100 degree (plus) Florida heat and humidity.
Critical points regarding Del Air to consider after having read countless reviews online (on multiple websites) by customers and what appears to be present and former employees (noted below as evidence), I have concluded the following about Del Air and its business operations (which I will hereafter substantiate in detail with quotes from customers and employees themselves).

We are currently building a brand new home. The builder hired DEL AIR as the subcontractor and they installed two brand new Trane units in our new home 3 months ago. (We have not closed on the home yet) but the units have broke at least 4+ times now. It takes a week for the tech to come out. The last time he came on Friday 6/17 made a repair and on Saturday 6/18 the ac was again not working. I read reviews the Del Air has knowingly installed defective units. I'm very frustrated and concerned b/c we're not even in the home yet and already having so many problems. If I could give DelAir zero stars I would. Ridiculous. (Someone who works for Delair also told me they are pulling out of southwest Florida and closing their Fort myers office. I can only imagine how hard it'll be to get a tech out then for warranty issues). BEWARE!

Del Air tried to charge full price for a repair on a warranty part. System was installed in a new construction home and came with a 5 year factory warranty on parts. System had a motor module fail before 3 years and the tech said it is not under warranty. Uncle paid the service call to be lied to about warranty part so he sent him away knowing he was taking advantage. He then called me to tell me what happened so I fixed it. After calling to complain they said that it was under warranty and it would be $300 for labor instead of $800 for parts and labor. Uncle would have been perfectly happy to pay that at the time but it was too late considering they didn't get back to me to tell me that until I called back 3 weeks later as they never returned our calls. They didn't honor the factory warranty on a system they installed and tried taking advantage of my uncle.

If I could use a zero I would. This company came to my house to service two air conditioning systems. One apparently just needed reset. They reset it and charged me a typical $79.95 diagnostic charge which was okay. The next unit he put one pound of freon in and charged me $79.95 and $80.00 for the freon. It froze up again the very next day and sent another technician out. He said it was the TXV thermal expansion valve. It was going to cost $775 to fix. He didn't have the parts and it was late and he said someone would contact me the next day. Two days later I contacted them and they said that the cost would be $933. I contacted another company and they came out and fixed it for $80. I wrote a review on Google and they said they wanted my name and phone number. So I gave them the information and two days later they still hadn't contacted me. I called them and finally I spoke with a supervisor and he said he would have to talk to a manager. I waited a week and they never got back to me so I called again and he said what do you want. I told him I wanted a refund. He said okay. Its been two weeks and still no refund.

Del-Air installed a Lennox heat pump in my new home in 2013. The evaporator coil starting leaking sometime in the first 3 years, and the system stopped functioning in July . A replacement coil was offered for $550, though the system was still under warranty, and there was a class action lawsuit settlement with Lennox for these coils in 2015. I paid the service call, the freon recharge, the leak test, and the coil replacement cost. 2 years later, the replacement coil had leaked another 4 pounds of refrigerant, and the system stopped cooling in May . By July, Del-Air located a specially "coated" coil, and offered to install it for $550 (plus the cost of the service calls, the leak tests and the freon charge to get me to July). In August , the system once again stopped cooling efficiently, and I asked for a service call to check for freon leaks. The Technician arrived without functioning leak detection equipment and told me he did not know when he return. He offered to charge my system, unaware of the exact cause of the leak. Del-Air later offered to send out another technician to perform a leak test for a separate fee (1st call + freon + a second call for leak testing => $500). I called to ask whether they would honor the $550 price for a replacement coil, and I learned the replacement would be over $1300 this time. That would bring the total cost to keep this system running for almost 8 years to more than $5k. Del-Air made no attempt to offer me any other solutions.

HAPPILY and OFFICIALLY MARRIED
After having met Jessa in October 2023, I was immediately impressed by her strong and unwavering faith in God despite having overcome so much adversity including her father drowning at sea and her mother's home burning down. Jessa's love, devotion and support for me has always been remarkable. When Jessa told me in October 2023, "I will LOVE you FOREVER" time has proven her confession to be true through life's twists, turns, ups and downs.
Jessa's AMAZING LOVE has given me great JOY, PEACE and STRENGTH. Prophetess Cindy Jacobs told me 2 years ago "God was going to blindside me and send me a wife who would love me with all her heart and go with me wherever I want to go." Therefore I proposed to Jessa in May 2024 after her birthday mid-month and then in October 2024 we took our five hour pre-marriage seminar in Cebu, Philippines and began the extensive documentation process to be married.
Among the ENDLESS PROCEDURES we had to endure and MANY DOCUMENTS we had to gather to obtain a marriage license in the blessed Philippines and stand before the honorable Cebu City judge in November to be married were: our birth certificates, passports, bio page, CENOMAR, notarized divorce documents, barangay certificate, marriage application form, legal capacity contract notarized by the United States Consulate, pre-marriage counseling certificate, two valid IDs, and court approved appointment (which typically can entail two months of waiting).
Upon going to the Cebu City courthouse on November 26, 2024 to request a date for a judge to preside over our wedding ceremony, we were initially told; we would have to wait until January 2025. Upon requesting an earlier date, we were informed Thursday, THANKSGIVING DAY and PAUL'S BIRTHDAY, was available. Therefore, two days later, we were happily married. Yet due to the MANY CHALLENGES mentioned before and hereafter (some still ongoing and a work in progress) we delayed sharing all of these WONDERFUL MIRACLES and EVENTS, but now are ready to do so (as SUFFERING has turned to CELEBRATION).
On Wednesday March 5, 2025, after a five-and-a-half hour wait, we were able to pick up our OFFICIAL MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) located in the thriving urban center of Colon, Cebu City, Philippines.
I am scheduled to leave March 10th from Cebu, Philippines to Zengzhou, China and begin working at Sias University as a Professor of World Health and Environmental Health. Now Jessa is organizing her many documents for the China Consulate in Cebu to obtain her spouse visa to join me in mainland China. The documents Jessa needs to obtain her visa include: National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance notarized by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Passport, Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, newlywed photos, spouse work permit, residence permit, employment contract, employment certificate, medical exam, visa application form and fee, photo, ID, invitation letter, bank documents and certificate of deposit.
Based on this extensive PAPER PUSHING experience, I think we can easily begin a DOCUMENT SERVICE company anywhere in the world, should we ever wish to do so; after having navigated the many legal nuances of marriage and immigration in multiple nations thus far.

Spotify Sirius Apple Podcasts
Many people are too busy to sit down from start to finish and fully read a book. Therefore many professionals with limited time are turning to podcasts on platforms such as Spotify, Sirius and Apple to listen to authors, hear audiobooks and obtain vitally important information from podcasts to advance their careers, enhance, build and transform their lives.
Podcosts on Spotify, Apple and Sirius are quite popular, although often content creators do not create more than 10 shows at most before they give up and disappear.
As the author of 100 books, an international educator who has created over 3,000 videos and world traveler who has touched 90 nations; I have not begun a podcast yet, although many have contacted me to try to sell me on the idea (although the financials were not compelling nor sufficiently attractive).
