First Date Who Pays?

Who pays on the first date is not important. What really matters is there is enough interest, desire and passion to pursue being together. Where there is heart, money will follow. Who coughs up the cash really doesn't matter when initiating a relationship, building trust, getting to know one another and connecting with someone you genuinely are interested in and care about. Reciprocity and loyalty can be shown over time, but in the beginning whoever is most passionate about the date has every right to invest financially according to their level of interest. Rules that are rigid, frigid and cold as ice are never nice. Likewise a stingy person with a closed heart rarely can sustain a relationship with or without money.

Twitter (now known as X) shut my account for 4.5 years at the beginning of the pandemic (February 2000) discriminating against me. After filing complaints with the US Dept of Justice and Attorney General about the matter a few weeks ago, X restored my account. But I want financial restitution for my loss of income and visibility online as I am an educator selling books, lessons and speaking engagements.

Earned media by customer reviews is more compelling, captivating and trustworthy than corporate ads that have a clear financial interest and goal to persuade (if not manipulate) consumers. Earned media does not manipulate.

Earned media captivates and stimulates by employing customer reviews as your primary marketing method to genuinely connect with, reach people and sincerely tell your brand's story. Reading and listening to earned media is more trustworthy and inclined to achieve the desired outcome of influencing and persuading future customers to try your product or service.

Earned media is any positive digital exposure generated through personal or 
public recommendations. As I learned from Google when completing their Digital Marketing course; companies don't create or own earned media, and they can't pay for it directly. Earned media is generated by customers in response to things like product quality and customer service, in addition to successful marketing campaigns. 

So, if a brand starts a formal partnership with an influencer, that's paid advertising. But if a customer likes a product so much that they tell their friends about it for free, that's earned media. Basically, earned media is the reputation a brand builds for being great at what they do.

Customer-generated content can help businesses sell products, but 
it does way more than that. It also helps brands reach new markets and build public trust.

Earned media can take the form of social media mentions, blog posts, written or video reviews, or positive press coverage, like product profiles or best-of lists.
