Glorious Friday, the 17th -- The 20th FBI, the one I just started, is out in 2016 (gasp!) Nemesis, #19, is out in July. See gorgeous cover above.

If you don't get my newsletter (I'm reminded because they went out this morning), then email me at ReadMoi@gmail.com and tell me to sign you up -- and also I'll email you the April newsletter. It's all about the 20th FBI --

Got a new approach "idea" for the 20th -- see if it works this morning. Does everyone like the title SHOWDOWN?

This is close up the week day so if you didn't get out to play last evening, tonight's the night to sit back at your "place" and decompress before you head home for more decompression and a very fine evening. I know, I know, it's also gym day or running with the dog when you walk him -- All is good -

Did you get your taxes off yesterday? Hope you didn't slit your wrists. Did you get moolah back? Glory be, if you did, buy a bottle of good champagne. Do you do taxes yourself or have an accountant, or use H&R Block sort of folk? Which do you think is best?

Started the 20th FBI -- This one is wild, starts out on the Strip in Las Vegas. I haven't done a serial killer (or cereal) in a very very long time; mainly in L.A. involving movie stars. The second plot is back in Washington, D.C. with a childhood friend of Savich's famous artist grandmother Sarah Elliott -- and what happens --

This is the day when you and some friends go out to your favorite watering hole after work -- big platter of nachos and ONE Beer and talk about work and family and joke around and moan with tax stories, relax and have fun. Then go home and and have more nachos and watch some TV. It's a good tonight with Elementary. Normally the plots aren't absurd and the writing for Sherlock and Watson is quite good. Don't forget to help your kiddos with home work --

April 15, 2015

Wednesday, a grand day and it's smack-dab in the middle of the month, so that's gotta make it special and that means you need to do something out of the ordinary today -- something to make you smile, something to make you feel good about yourself, maybe some little present or act that could lead to wild and crazy experiences later this evening -- and let me know what you do -

I'm really enjoying all the different careers you guys have fallen into -- and that's really what happens, isn't it? When you're a teenager you say I want to be a nurse, a fire fighter, a lawyer, whatever -- but what usually happens is serendipity -- you simply fall into something and turns out you really like it -- something you've never heard of before -- Ain't life interesting?

April 14, 2015

April 14th -- lovely sunny Tuesday and still no rain, which isn't right, I mean, all of you are dancing vigorously, we're not sinning here, no booze, no excess fornication, we're trying to be really good to be worthy of some big sustained rain storms. Big sigh -- Hey, maybe it's those fish tacos, I mean, what rain gods could possibly approve of fish tacos?

I want to know who among you has the most interesting/different/unusual/weird and bizarre job? Now, don't make one up, I want the truth here, okay? And I would like to know how you got into this wonderfully weird and special job --

April 10, 2015

April 10th: A buzzing-around Friday starting out with a pink sky outside, and here in Marin County it will be another gorgeous day, but it'd sure be nice to have some rain. You guys simply aren't committed enough, so give me a minute of extreme dancing, okay?

THE STRANGE VISITATION TO WOLFFE HALL is done -- now to get it to you? There are several options, we'll see. The second Grayson Sherbrooke adventure (novella) will be in Scotland at Vere Castle. You've never been there? (It's on the Fife Peninsula and you can read all about it in The Heiress Bride) I think Grayson is meeting up with Pearlin' Jane (she's the resident Vere Castle ghost) and there will be Big Trouble --
Bless this incredible day with your spirit full-throttle, pull on a beautiful smile, give a couple of laughs, tell a joke, if you have a good one, and dive into work and shine.
It's going to be a great day, I feel it in my bones. Do you feel it in your bones as well?

April 9, 2015

Great big gorgeous Thursday ready to be wrapped up in red with a huge bow: The 9th of April and all through the house, there's no sound of the heater, the cats are feed and lolling around and Cleo is trying to push my fingers off the keyboard to pet her and Peyton and Eli surely wish for a mouse, or two.

Doing a final polish on The Visitation at Wolffe Hall, yes, and then I'll send it off to an editor and IT WILL BE DONE -- I am not lying or messing with you. I sure hope the second one will be easier to do.

March 27, 2015

27th March and it's CAN YOU BELIEVE IT"S FRIDAY -- Yes, yes, HCF was great and I promptly gained 2 pounds. I've learned that the key to weight maintenance is Vigilance and that means today real hard workout at the gym, and cut back on meals, really cut back on meals, and you know what? Those 2 pounds are gone tomorrow morning. Does this work for you? I'm thinking those little fat molecules simply don't have time to burrow in your thighs. One day you sin and the next day you are so pious and proper and upright that the weight is scared off your bod.

Getting THE END GAME back from J.T. this morning and will spend the next week doing one final pass through -- Yes, everything is on target timewise, and I'm hoping I'll be able to tell if I love the book or want to kick it under an 18 wheeler. Yes, I will be honest, with myself and with you guys --

March 26, 2015

26th of March -- Today is work (of course, like all of us) and lunch with friends at the High Cholesterol Factory. Love that place, particularly the avocado rolls -- really, they are quite delicious and then how about the tiny little hamburger sliders with tons of dill pickles and French's mustard -- then we all share a piece of cheesecake -- my choice today and no doubt I'll go with the one that's like a "turtle" -- can't remember the actual name.

March 19, 2015

19th of March -- since it's still black outside my windows I can't tell you it's a gorgeous day -- but I'm sure hopeful. So many of you liked the wisteria photo -- why can't it last longer than two measly weeks? I mean, it's almost why bother? But the thing is, it's so gorgeous, you simply stand there and stare at all those beautiful little blossoms hit the ground, maybe shed a tear, depending.

Half and half with cabbage -- thank you guys for telling me how corned beef and cabbage came out, didn't know that. Alas, even knowing the story doesn't make it taste any better (to me).

March 18, 2015

Big gorgeous 18th of March: Yes on the corned beef for dinner last night, but a huge big NO on the cabbage. Please, flush the cabbage. My love of St. Patrick does not extend to cabbage. Who came up with that? I mean, some folk even dye the cabbage green -- is this supposed to keep us from knowing it's CABBAGE? Make it taste better? Green beer -- do you simply close your eyes and chug it down? Is the taste any different?

I did wear green yesterday and so did everyone else -- and you know what? We all tried to RiverDance -- now talk about a hoot -- who likes RiverDance? Right up front -- I love watching it and you can simply see the calories falling off those beautiful lithe dancing bods -- Saw Flatley in Dublin, now he's amazing -- He's getting up there in dancing years, so he's not the front and center star now, but a special 'jump in' sort of deal. Will see him in London (for the few minutes he's on stage) in May. Can't wait to see if The Texas Embassy is still going -- it's a Mexican restaurant -- and it's located very close to where the original Texas Embassy was back in 1836 before Texas became a state. Big huge glasses of tea -- and lo and behold, there are actual ice cubes in the glasses.
