Santigold has announced that she will release her third album, 99¢, on January 22nd via Atlantic Records. The first single, “Can’t Get Enough of Myself (feat. B.C.)” is available now at all digital retailers and as an instant grat with select album preorders. The song had it’s premier on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show yesterday.
On 99¢, Santigold explores the commercial nature of our world and the ways in which we package ourselves and our lives for consumption. “We have no illusion that we don’t live in this world where everything is packaged. People’s lives, persona, everything, is deliberate, and mediated. It can be dark and haunting and tricky, and freak us out, but it can be also be silly and fun and we can learn to play with it,” she says. She also explores our fascination with perfection and our inherent inability to attain it. The use of playful satire, social critique, and self-examination to explore these themes is reflected in the album’s cover art, a collaboration with photographer Haruhiko Kawaguchi, finds Santigold shrink-wrapped amongst her cluttered possessions ready for the store shelves.
Following her last album, the dark and cerebral Master of My Make Believe, Santigold wanted to explore new corners of her sound and different ways to convey her vision and political commentary. She worked with new collaborators Patrik Berger, Rostam Batmanglij, Hit Boy, Justin Raisen, ILOVEMAKONNEN, and Sam Dew and longtime cohorts John Hill, Dave Sitek, and Doc McKinney. The result is the bright and big sound of 99¢ that takes the genre-defying fearlessness Santigold has become known for to new places.
Santigold’s sophomore album, Master of My Make Believe became her first #1 album, topping the Billboard Dance/ Electronic albums chart. She's won an ASCAP Pop Music award (Vanguard Award), and has been nominated for a Q Award, MTV Europe Music Award, and BRIT Award. Her recent brand collaborations include a limited edition make up collection for Smashbox and an accessories collection for Stance. She recently had comedic roles on The Office and Adult Swim’s NTSF:SD:SUV.

(Credit: Chad Kamenshine) "Finding a band like The Seratones, who've been quietly operating in Shreveport, La., always makes us wonder what other hidden gems we're missing in isolated music scenes around the country." -Paste
"It's probably the best off-the-cuff performance I've ever seen at SXSW." - NME
"...right in the Southern rock wheelhouse...equal parts swagger and aggression." - Stereogum "...['Take It Easy'] feels like a bold move. It's closer to a ballad than some might expect from the band, but it's one that tears at the soul with sharp teeth." - Consequence of Sound
"The song is 'Necromancer,' and it fully communicates what makes this feisty dance band special: the hot fun it brings to garage rock, the punchiness of its grooves, and most of all, the swooping soprano of AJ Haynes..." - NPR Music Today Seratones share the music video for "Necromancer," the A-side to their newly released 7-inch single on Fat Possum. The surging track, driven by powerhouse frontwomanA.J. Haynes, whose thunderous vocals recall the grit of Janis Joplin and gospel of Mavis Staples, is premiering exclusively via

. PRESS HERE to watch the video now. "The video is a sneak peek into one of our favorite semi-secret places in our hometown, a roofless building where we used to put on happenings--experimental multimedia events...which inevitably turned into parties by the end of the night," front woman A.J. Haynes explains of the music video. "It only seemed fitting to bring 'Necromancer,' a song about dancing, to that hallowed ground. The party spirit guided us thorough the video, drew us to the visual language of Dia de Los Muertos, and taught us that love transforms death into sweetness." Howling and wailing all the way from Louisiana with a whole lot of soul and inimitable raw talent, Seratones are beasts of the Southern wild and one of the best new rock & roll bands you'll hear in 2015. Sylvan Esso remixes Pure Bathing Culture for Vice Noisey
PURE BATHING CULTURE SHARE SYLVAN ESSO DANCE REMIX OF "PRAY FOR RAIN" ON VICE NOISEY+ LAND COVER OF CMJ MAGAZINE
CURRENTLY ON HEADLINE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR
SOPHOMORE ALBUM PRAY FOR RAIN OUT NOWON PARTISAN RECORDS US / MEMPHIS INDUSTRIES EU
LISTEN: "Pray for Rain" (Sylvan Esso remix) on Soundcloud & Noisey
Two is better than one: Partisan labelmates Sylvan Esso just remixed the title track off Pure Bathing Culture's new LP Pray For Rain transforming the dream-pop duo's hit into a deeper, slower cut. Nick Sanborn (Sylvan Esso, Made of Oak) said:
"Sometimes when you get asked to remix a song you already love, it can be tough to find a good angle without completely changing the vibe. So it was really cool of Pure Bathing Culture to give Amelia and I so much leeway on this stylistically. If there are any house DJs out there who ever get down to 105bpm, this one's for them."
Pure Bathing Culture's Pray For Rain (released 10/23) is the duo's second studio album and first produced by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Angel Olsen). It received raves from The FADER, Stereogum, New York Magazine's Vulture, Interview and landed them on the cover of CMJ Magazine for the highest radio chart debut for week of release.
The band is currently headlining the second leg of their North American tour, see below for a full list of upcoming dates.
PRAISE FOR PURE BATHING CULTURE
"a serving of 1980s synth-pop that is equal parts danceable and devastating" --The FADER
"Synth pop fun...lovely" --New York Mag (Vulture)
"chiming guitar chords that sway between speakers...a pinch of 80s radio power pop...jetpacked into the future by fuzzed up bass" --Vice Noisey
"['Pray For Rain'] adds new oomph to the duo's crystalline transcendental yacht-pop..."
--Stereogum
"[Versprille's] voice layers with clean synths, guitars, and bass for a song that has an overarching uplifting tone, despite its relatively somber lyricism."--Interview Magazine
"Pray for Rain sounds very polished, with Vesprille's poetic lyrics melding with dreamy pop melodies." --Bitch Magazine
"an elegantly experimental listen...the atmosphere of a strange, half-awake state." --The Guardian
"a poppier, more expansive sound with stylish grace and keeps just enough of the mystery intact to stay interesting." --AllMusic
"[Showcases] Versprille and Hindman's ability to inject heat-seeking pop missiles in their melodies, aiming them straight for listeners' hearts and making them impossible to dodge." --Portland Mercury

Fever The Ghost Are Playing A Free Hometown Show At The Echo On November 20th!
Fever The Ghost Premiere Groundbreaking New Video '1518' On NOISEY
Announce US Tour Dates
"Zirconium Meconium" LP Out Now On Complicated Game (US), Heavenly Recordings (UK)
Fever The Ghost have shared their new video for '1518' an incredible collaboration with digital wizard Lionel Williams (Unknown Mortal Orchestra's 'Multi-Love' Video) on NOISEY.
Williams explains: "'1518' is an augmented reality video made with Unity where one can pivot & look around a celestial environment with a phone / tablet – as well as with a computer using the arrow keys that appear on the video. The footage was shot at the center of a black hole, where 360 realities are apparent from all angles of human ocular vestiges, achieved merely by the alchemical compounding of mercurial gauze and the potentiality of sight-based-probability. Blue gold transmuted higher dimensional knots out into single strands of animation, which illuminates the pathway of inner archaic futures, i.e. paradoxical bath time." The band advises that you use your phone screen to view and to "Stand up and hold your device sideways 8 to 12 inches (20 - 30cm) from your eyes. Press the play button. While keeping device squarely in front of your eyes, spin around 360".
On their ecstatic debut album Zirconium Meconium , the Los Angeles outfit Fever The Ghost refine their uncanny synthesis of futuristic glam and colorful psych-pop with a fully realized, sprawling pop saga. Stepping out further into galactic-pop territory,Fever The Ghost deliver the catchy '1518', which finds the band embracing hypnotic dance structures while retaining their increasingly signature marriage of the esoteric with inescapable hooks.
'1518' appears on Fever The Ghost's debut album Zirconium Meconium , which is out now on Complicated Game (US) / Heavenly Recordings (UK). Just as Diane Coffee’s debut LP, 2013’s ‘My Friend Fish,’ was inspired by Fleming’s move from sunny California to New York City, ‘Everybody’s A Good Dog’ took shape after this former Disney child actor and current drummer for Foxygen uprooted again from NYC to the much smaller town of Bloomington, IN - “spontaneous moves have always helped to inspire my writing” he explains. This downsizing provided Fleming with a blank slate to create – “I missed the quiet. I missed having a fire. I missed the color green.”
The songs on ‘Everybody’s A Good Dog’ capture this sense of clarity, channeling the New York Dolls or T-Rex at their strutting-est and Meatloaf at his most theatrical, with shades of Motown-worthy soul. The gentle psychedellia on opener “Spring Breathes” gives way to a pounding prog breakdown, “Mayflower” leads with a monster funk-fueled horn riff, while on “Tams Up” Fleming fronts his own one-man doo-wop group.
‘My Friend Fish’ was met with acclaim from NPR Music, Paste, Consequence of Sound + more. NME called it “a revelation” and Q declared it “superb.”
Diane Coffee will also tour later this year, including dates with of Montreal and Luna. Full routing below.
