New York, NY – March 11, 2016 – Peter Bjorn and John are excited to announce the release of their seventh full-length studio album Breakin’ Point . The album marks their first new release in more than five years and is due out June 10, 2016 through their own imprint INGRID with the help of Kobalt Label Services. On Breakin’ Point the band had the opportunity to work with an impressive group of producers including Patrick Berger (Icona Pop, Robyn), Paul Epworth (Florence And The Machine, U2,Paul McCartney), Greg Kurstin (Sia, Adele), Emile Haynie (Lana Del Rey, FKA Twigs, Kanye West), Pontus Winnberg (Miike Snow) and Thom Monahan (Wild Nothing, Devendra Banhart).
To celebrate the announcement, Peter Bjorn and John are revealing their first new album track “What You Talking About” via and exclusive news story with Pitchfork – check it out HERE. The song is available via all DSPs today.
Breakin’ Point is the follow up to 2011’s critically acclaimed album Gimme Some – which was the first release to find the trio working with outside producers. When asked about the decision to again venture outside for production help Bjorn says, “You behave better when you have people over for dinner that aren't just your family,” and further commented that “it wasn't that we just brought in anyone. We really respect what these guys do. We wanted to make pop music that was relevant now and not in a fantasy world of what we thought would be relevant. We learned how to not dwell on stuff because you can't sit forever. You have to reach a goal. That was a little bit scary at first.”
The result is a phenomenal new album that finds the group reaching another career high. While the trio's previous record Gimme Some was Peter Bjorn and John's guitar driven power pop record that beautifully captured the energy of the band’s live show, Breakin’ Point is about creating big pop songs, taking advantage of all that the studio has to offer and crafting an album that is complex while sounding effortless.
They are also thrilled to be releasing the album via their own label INGRID – which is part of the INGRID artist collective that they started in 2012 along with Andrew Wyatt and Pontus Winnberg from Miike Snow, Lykke Li, Coco Morier, Jocke Åhlund, Nille Perned and Jonas Torvestig. The collective also includes a recording studio in Stockholm that was formerly used by ABBA and has hosted likes ofSantigold, Haim, a-ha and Chrissie Hynde – whose album Bjorn produced and contributed writing to.
In addition, the trio has lent their talents to a long list of impressive artists over the past five years while recording Breakin’ Point. Outside of Chrissie Hynde, Bjorn found himself in the studio with Lykke Li andFranz Ferdinand among others, John found himself recording with Wild Nothing and Ane Brun and remixing Neneh Cherry and Peter contributed his talents to records by Doe Paoro, RAC and Cass McCombs. As a group, most recently you can find them on the new Yoko Ono album Yes I’m A Witch Too as well as Claptone’s debut album Charmer .
The band will be playing some North American, UK and European dates ahead of the June 10th album release. Confirmed dates are below with more tour dates to be announced soon. Tickets for the shows will be on sale today at 10AM EST.

BAT FOR LASHES Announces New Album
BAT FOR LASHES
THE BRIDE
Bat For Lashes - aka multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Natasha Khan - will release her latest album, The Bride , via Parlophone/Warner Bros. Records on July 1, 2016. The album's captivating first track, "I Do" premiered last month to rapturous response while suggesting a bridal theme. The album's second preview, the foreboding synth-driven "In God's House," continues with the mysterious narrative and can be heard HERE.
The Bride follows the story of a woman whose fiancé has been killed in a crash on the way to the church for their wedding. The Bride flees the scene to take the honeymoon trip alone, resulting in a dark meditation on love, loss, grief, and celebration. Written as the soundtrack for a feature length film in mind, The Bride is Khan's most ambitious work to date, sonically and visually incorporating an entire world inhabited by The Bride, along with the characters and places she encounters on the way.
The Bride was conceived of and produced by Natasha Khan alongside a host of long-time collaborators and friends including Simone Felice, Dan Carey, Head and Ben Christophers. Inspired by a short film Khan wrote and directed entitled I Do, making its debut at this year's Tribeca Film Festival in NYC in April, The Bride was created over the course of 18 months across London, Los Angeles, and Brighton. Finally last Autumn, Natasha headed to the mountains of Woodstock, NY, where she built a studio into the ground floor of a big old house and lived there for two months, finishing the record with co-producer Simone Felice (Lumineers, Felice Bros).
The album was mixed by Head in London and mastered at Metropolis Studios. The lush narrative of the artwork was conceived as a visual partnership between Natasha and Neil Krug over a period of two years. The Bride's universe was the product of intense collaboration and experimentation.
Bat For Lashes will be playing select, special shows for The Bride in between festival appearances at Coachella and Governor's Ball. These intimate shows, set in churches throughout North America and England, will be the exclusive, first opportunity to hearThe Bride performed in full before it's released. As such, The Bride invites all attendees of these special church shows to wear wedding/formal attire for the occasion. A portion of proceeds from these shows will benefit the David Lynch Foundation, whose mission is to bring Transcendental Meditation to at-risk populations around the world.

Album artwork:
Natasha Khan first captured our imagination back in 2006 with a set of distinctively haunting and rich, darkly fantastical songs ripe with magic realism. Her sensual and gilt-decorated dream world was opened up in two Mercury Music Prize nominated albums, the atavistic, reverb-drenched Fur and Gold (2006) and 2009's more electronically poppy Two Suns. The latter featured the irresistible Daniel - which won Ms Khan an Ivor Novello award for Best Contemporary Song - and was recorded in London and across America. This was followed by a triumphant return in 2012 with the highly acclaimed third album The Haunted Man. A richly layered and accomplished record, it pulled Khan's distinctive creative vision into sharper focus, confirming her as a true innovator and an established U.K. artist. Khan has since been nominated for 'Best Female' at the Brit Awards and the beautiful track 'Laura', one of the 2012's best, was nominated for another Ivor Novello for 'Best Song Musically And Lyrically'.

Oberhofer Announces Chronovision Deluxe Double LP via Glassnote 4.29
Premieres "Hey Man" Video via Billboard, Playing SXSW

LISTEN & SHARE: Oberhofer - "Hey Man" Track
https://soundcloud.com/glassnotemusic/hey-man"“This song is about just being a guy about town and saying ‘hey’ to the people you know, the people you don't know, the people who like you, and the people who don't want to like you."
– OberhoferMemories can be inspiring or stifling, alluring or ugly, wistful, joyous or flat. But what if they all come rushing back in a moment of quiet? You're in headphones, zoned out, and your entire life flashes before your eyes, floods your ears, sounds like a screaming orchestra, feels like a bounding sack of lead, and looks like an unholy filmic mashup of David Cronenberg and Ken Burns. This is "chronovision," a high-concentration dose of pure memory. And on the album of the same newly minted name, Brad Oberhofer distills his own total recall into beautiful, bittersweet song.
When it came time to make his second proper album under the Oberhofer name, the Tacoma-raised, New York-based artist had a great deal to draw from. His almost idyllic youth — mom sang opera; dad sailed boats; family lived on a gulch; deer and fox munched blueberries outside — had recently smashed up against harsh reality. One day while home for a brief respite from touring his 2012 debut Time Capsules II, Oberhofer woke to find his roommate dead, in the bathroom, of a heroin overdose. He had to call his friend's boyfriend and break the news. Then, a mere three days later, he had to clear out all of his belongings and drive his band to Lollapalooza.
Such events seem to cast all else in a severe light, so while you'll hear Oberhofer's familiar sound — amped psych-pop with orchestral flourish, New Wave flare, and grungy fuzz — the intensity has been ratcheted up. The brighter moments are more brilliant, almost manically so, and the darker hues have deepened in kind. Certain samples, keyboard runs, and piano figures evoke calliope — circus music, conjuring innocence and madness in turn. And our host is as apt to channel the bliss of Brian Wilson's SMiLE ("Sun Halo") as he is the blooming melancholia of early Grandaddy ("What You Know"). The ghosts of Lou Reed and Del Shannon lurk these halls, too.
Much of this is also to do with Oberhofer's resolve to produce the LP himself. The road toChronovision was winding. He first rented a spot in the Catskills, set up all of his instruments (piano, keyboards, guitars, drums, clarinet, violin, Theramin), and made a song a day for two weeks. But that version of the record would be scrapped, as would the next, recorded in Seattle with Phil Ek (the Shins, Modest Mouse) on the boards. Two more album's worth of songs were recorded in a pair of overnight solo jags, but those only exist today in the annals of SoundCloud. A final spurt took him to a Tacoma studio, two NYC facilities (Strange Weather, Electric Lady), and the former Sound City in Los Angeles. Lastly: Atlanta to mix with Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Washed Out). Exactly 106 demos later, Oberhofer emerged with these 12 songs.
That process isn't altogether surprising. When he's not playing or recording with Oberhofer the band — Oberhofer the man is constantly creating. His Instagram feed is full of bite-sized video loops. His Bandcamp offers a free collection of "daily meditations." Via a second SoundCloud account, he's recording 1,000-plus custom piano pieces for fans and friends (each composition bearing the person's name). It's possible he developed the practice while studying music at NYU (before he dropped out), after touring with the likes of Sleigh Bells, Neon Indian, or Matt & Kim, or in recording his last album with Grammy-stacking producer Steve Lillywhite. But one gets the feeling Oberhofer's been this way.
Chronovision bears the mark of that dedication, even if the perspective is often far more cloistered. "I spent my life inside a hole/I don't have any place to go," he coos through a forced grin on "Nevena," while on "Someone Take Me Home," he imagines a future in which his muse has left him for dead — set to cheery fuzz-pop, naturally. And sweet though they may be, "Sea of Dreams" and "White Horse, Black River" are respective dedications to Oberhofer's two grandmothers, who passed recently. Still, the LP's coda finds him looking outward, with optimism: "Listen to everyone/They too have songs in their eyes." The line implies that "chronovision" — the heady sum of one's memory — can be shared, and why not? That's what Oberhofer's just done.

NEW 7" SINGLE DRIVE YOUR CAR OUT NOW

"“Drive Your Car” squeals into chugging riffs from guitarist and vocalist Sade Sanchez and bassist Irita Pai, spurred into a higher, exit ramp-climbing gear from drummer Ellie English. Sanchez’s voice howls through the canyons of her own reverb like she’s yelling behind the wheel of a stolen Mustang in a Santa Ana tunnel, reveling in her cacophonous freedom Thelma & Louise-style."

The Gloomies Announce Blackout EP; Premiere First Single

THE GLOOMIES ANNOUNCE NEW EP; OUT APRIL 1ST
EARMILK PREMIERES FIRST SINGLE "Bleached Out" LISTEN HERE

Following 2015 debut single LSD, The Gloomies are proud to announce the release of their first EP. TheBlackout EP finds the band in a very different state of mind, trading the sun-dappled Southern California beaches for the vast, barren expanses of the desert. Lead single Bleached Out perfectly captures the bands newfound spiritas ominously emblematic of the old West as tumbleweeds at dusk or a shuttered saloon at the edge of a ghost town. A lot of friends who heard LSD first might be surprised by Blackout, explains lead singer Andy Craig . But it was important to me that these songs come out now and together on this record. It felt right. Since the release of LSD, The Gloomies have shared the stage with Hinds, Public Access TV, Day Wave and completed a month-long residency at the Soda Bar in San Diego.
Blackout EP is available on April 1st 2016 courtesy of Thrill Me Records.

José González Reveals Video for "With the Ink of a Ghost," US Tour Underway
JOSÉ GONZÁLEZ
NEW VIDEO FOR “WITH THE INK OF A GHOST”
SPRING TOUR WITH yMUSIC KICKS OFF
Photo Credit: Malin JohanssonCoinciding with the launch of his North American tour with yMusic, José González is proud to unveil the emotive and strikingly beautiful music video for “With the Ink of a Ghost,” a song found on José’s acclaimed studio album Vestiges & Claws – out now on Mute.
The video, directed by Malin Ingrid Johansson, portrays dancer Yared Cederlund expressing himself in arresting freeform movement over José’s serene and near-meditative melody. Reflecting on this visual offering, Johansson states:
Using both the physical movement through Yared's body, and the movement between the two rooms, we wanted to do something as contradictory as visualizing the invisible. Us people are often strongly under the influence by forces we can't see. Forces inside and outside of us, sometimes created by events that took place long before us. In the same way, our actions today will affect those coming long after us. By then we will be what's invisible.

On Sunday, José will embark on a sizable North American tour with the revered chamber sextet yMusic. With the addition of strings, flute, clarinet and trumpet to José’s celebrated catalog, these shows are sure to be a special treat for all in attendance.
yMusic works in close quarters with contemporary composers and songwriters, developing ideas into vivid, communicative performances. Virtuosos, the six classically-trained instrumentalists are equally comfortable in the classical and pop worlds, collaborating with artists from Ben Folds to Dirty Projectors. “yMusic is thrilled to be joining José, says Rob Moose of yMusic, “and to bring our musicianship and unique color to José’s gorgeous, moody songwriting.”

Ladyhawke 3rd Studio LP 'Wild Things' Out 6/3 via Polyvinyl, Pitchfork Drops "A Love Song" Video
Ladyhawke
3rd Studio Album Wild Things
Out June 3 via Polyvinyl Records
“ A Love Song ” Pixel Art Animated Lyric Video
Created By Paul Robertson (The Simpsons)
Revealed With Pitchfork Today

Making international waves with her award-winning self-titled breakout album in 2008 and Anxiety in 2012, Ladyhawke aka Pip Brown has returned with her third studio album Wild Things to be released on June 3 via Polyvinyl Records.Strapped with earworm hooks, shimmering synths, rib rattling beats and anchored by quivering title track which is an airy paean to cleaning up and settling down, the record is less about past demons and more a catalyst of what’s to come.
“Let It Roll” recalls Brown’s familiar stomp and sass, amplified by crisp percussion and synths that are crunchier than ever. Soulful ballad “Wild Things” sets the exhilarating tone for other deep-dives into relationships, such as “A Love Song,” a sweeping, reverberating revelation with an infectious chorus that dares listeners not to sing along. “ A Love Song ” pixel art animated lyric video, created by Paul Robertson (The Simpsons), was revealed via Pitchfork today.

We encourage you to post & share!
On connecting with Paul Robertson through Twitter, Pip explains, “I was watching The Simpsons one day and was blown away by a particular couch gag scene. You know the bit at the very beginning of The Simpsons where they all run to the couch? Well sometimes they get guest artists to interpret that scene in their own style. This particular one I was watching all of a sudden transformed into this mind blowing trippy pixel art sequence. It completely blew me away, so much so that I watched it over and over on YouTube. He's an incredibly talented artist, his use of colour and dreamy repetitious sequences are a perfect fit for my music.“
Brown’s conviction to organic authenticity led her on this third album journey which started back in 2013. She scrapped a full album’s worth of material before taking around a year to craft the blissed-out Wild Things with producer Tommy English(Børns, Tiësto, Dark Waves), whom she met through her L.A. neighbor, tattoo artist/musician Kat Von D.
