FAITH NO MORE REISSUE LANDMARK DEBUT ALBUM, WE CARE A LOT, ON AUG. 19 VIA KOOLARROW RECORDS
LONG OUT OF PRINT RELEASE GETS DELUXE TREATMENT WITH NEW MIXES, DEMOS AND LIVE RECORDINGS; PRE-ORDERS AVAILABLE NOW

SAN FRANCISCO, July 27, 2016 – As part of the build up to the release of Faith No More's We Care A Lot reissue (Aug. 19, Koolarrow Records), watch new, rare footage (audio and video by Chris Husband) of Faith No More performing 'The Jungle' live from 1986 at The i-Beam in San Francisco:https://youtu.be/huicM5dOhFo.
The footage and track are included on the album reissue, and the track is also now available (as well as "We Care A Lot" and "As The Worm Turns') as instant downloads on the iTunes pre-order link: http://geni.us/WeCareALotDigital.
“This was an album that started as a demo, before any label had any interest in us,” explained Faith No More bass player Bill Gould. “There were a couple of reasons we decided to release this now: first of all, it’s been 20 years since it has been commercially available. Secondly, when cleaning out my basement, I discovered the original master reels, and we all thought that resurrecting this from the original tapes would be a great way to reintroduce We Care A Lot into the world. Lastly, this has been a band effort; we are releasing this in the same way as we recorded it, deciding everything amongst ourselves and getting our hands deep into the nuts and bolts… just like we used to.”
The original 10-song album, remastered by Maor Appelbaum via the original reels Gould eluded to, is enhanced with nine bonus tracks including demo versions (taken from the original 8-track tapes) of “Greed,” “Mark Bowen,” “Arabian Disco” and “Intro,” live versions of “The Jungle” and “New Beginnings” and new mixes, via Matt Wallace, of “We Care A Lot,” “Pills for Breakfast” and “As The Worm Turns.” Liner notes from keyboard player Roddy Bottum and behind-the-scenes photos will be included with the physical release. We Care A Lot (Deluxe Band Edition) is available now for pre-order on CD (http://hyperurl.co/WeCareALotCD), digital (http://geni.us/WeCareALotDigital) and vinyl (http://hyperurl.co/WeCareALotLP).

We Care A Lot arrived in November 1985 via Maximum RocknRoll editor Ruth Schwartz’s Mordam Records. The seminal album, boasting the timeless title track, which can still be heard daily on radio stations worldwide, confounded music fans and critics alike. As Pitchfork said in a 2015 article dubbed “The Misunderstanding of Faith No More,” the unpredictable and hard-to-define band “had radically altered the parameters of popular music years before the fabled alternative revolution.” Rolling Stone called it a "raw punk album" while Select Magazine dubbed it "a lustful marriage of mutoid metal and dance floor verve."
“When strangers ask what Faith No More is I’ve always said, ‘well, it’s kind of an art band…’ I say that mostly to distance us from the hard rock world that we’re often times lumped into. I mean, hard rock, sure, that was part of it, but our roots most definitely and pointedly stem from a specific freakout art time and place in San Francisco, a time that no longer exists. In 1982, the hippies mingled with the punks, the artists hung out with the musicians, the dance people and the punks were one and the Satanists and the sexual pioneers… all part of the same scene,” Bottum explains, colorfully setting the scene for the original inspiration for the band and We Care A Lot. “That weird SF window provided a platform from which we were free to express and cultivate a really uniquely odd sound experience. In Los Angeles, no one really cared much, but SF was always super supportive, encouraging us, directly and not, to get our collective freak on.”
“We felt like it was time to take the next step,” adds drummer Mike Bordin. “We raised as much money as we were able and booked time at Prairie Sun Studios just north of San Francisco. I can’t remember how long it took us to record the album, but not a lot, maybe a few days. The songs were sharp from having played most of them at various shows. Very stripped down, basic as could be. The place was on a farm in chicken country (Petaluma). Hard work, but a ton of fun too.”

Care is the next step in the evolution of Krell's sound, which began with his first critically-lauded album, Love Remains, in 2010 and continued up through his widely acclaimed previous album, What Is This Heart?, released in 2014. In six quick years,Krell has deftly moved from hazy, bedroom R&B to full-blown alt-pop gems, projecting more clarity and depth than ever before. Writing and working between Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York, Care retains Krell's signature lyrical wordplay while being the most vibrant, curious, and celebratory he's ever been with the listener. It's an intimate album that goes big, filled with stadium-sized choruses, rollicking guitar solos, vocal tenderness, and Celine Dion-inspired melodies. It is radio-ready hooks refracted through the How To Dress Well lense, tinting all the broader strokes with the unique elements that have always made Krell a celebrated musical visionary. This is a record that makes us want to know each other clearer, and ultimately, to allow ourselves to feel joy. Care will be available on standard CD, standard 2xLP, digitally and a limited deluxe edition 2xLP. The limited deluxe edition LP includes the album on colored marble double vinyl and a 16 page 12"x12" booklet, and can be exclusively pre-ordered from the How To Dress Well store. The Radio Dept. Return With
Running Out Of Love
Fourth LP Out October 21st via Labrador Records
“Our society seems to be in regression on so many levels. Politically, intellectually, morally...It's an album about all the things that are moving in the wrong direction. It's about the impatience that turns into anger, hate and ultimately withdrawal and apathy when love for the world and our existence begins to falter.”

The Radio Dept’s new album Running Out Of Love will be released on October 21st via Sweden’s Labrador Records. It's their first album since the critically acclaimed success of 2010’s Clinging To A Scheme.
Statement from the band:
“We have just finished our 4th full-length album, Running Out Of Love . An album about life in Sweden in 2016 and how our society seems to be in regression on so many levels. Politically, intellectually, morally...It's an album about all the things that are moving in the wrong direction. It's about the impatience that turns into anger, hate and ultimately withdrawal and apathy when love for the world and our existence begins to falter.
For the third time in a row we have made two albums instead of one. After constant touring for a couple of years after our latest release, Clinging To A Scheme , we started writing and recording an album that we later decided to scrap. As some of you might be aware, we have been caught up in a lengthy legal battle with our record label and publisher. We took a pause from releasing singles and EP's and instead spent our time hanging out with friends, working odd jobs and just loafing around. Ultimately we lost the court case but still managed to reach an agreement with the record company that gave us the motivation to create music again.
In the summer of 2014, ideas and a concept for Running Out Of Love started to come together and the single “Death To Fascism”, now too old to be included, was the first effort towards the new album. Later, more new songs started to appear. The court case is taken care of in “Occupied”, the Swedish weapon and arms industry in “Swedish Guns” and “We Got Game” is about the proud police tradition of protecting nazis and racists, whilst at the same time using brutal violence against opposing groups of protesters.
Running Out Of Love has moulded itself into a rather dystopian album, mainly because it was created in a sense of deep frustration over the reactionary currents which characterize our time.”
Album Track Listing:
1. Sloboda Narodu
2. Swedish Guns
3. We Got Game
4. Thieves Of State
5. Occupied
6. This Thing Was Bound To Happen
7. Can’t Be Guilty

Mick Harvey Announces Vol 4 of Gainsbourg Covers, 'Intoxicated Women' Out November 4
MICK HARVEY
ANNOUNCES VOLUME 4 OF
SERGE GAINSBOURG TRANSLATIONS
INTOXICATED WOMEN
OUT NOVEMBER 4, 2016
“Harvey is a cool, calm, plainspoken singer; his true voice has always come through his sense of arrangement, and his ability to render exquisite beauty and apocalyptic clamor with the same brushstroke.” - Pitchfork
It has taken 20 years for Mick Harvey to resume his project of translating Serge Gainsbourg’s songs into English, and following June’s release of Volume 3, Delirium Tremens, Mick Harvey has now announced the final in the series, Volume 4, Intoxicated Women, out on November 4, 2016.
Listen to a sampler for Intoxicated Women HERE .
Intoxicated Women contains many duets and songs written by Gainsbourg, mostly during the 60s, in a period where he was focusing his songwriting on singers such as France Galle, Juliette Greco and most famously, Brigitte Bardot.
Here Harvey has enlisted the talents of guest singers Channthy Kak (Cambodian Space Project), Australian singers Xanthe Waite (Terry, Primo), Sophia Brous, Lyndelle-Jayne Spruyt, Jess Ribeiro and the German chanteuse Andrea Schroeder, plus a special appearance by Harvey’s son, Solomon.
The album opens with a stunning version of “Je T’aime… (Moi non plus)” – here titled “Ich Liebe Dich… (Ich Dich Auch Nicht)” - rendered in the sexiest German imaginable by the divine Ms. Schroeder and culminates with “Cargo Cult,” the closing track from the classic Melody Nelson album. In between we are treated to a smorgasbord of Gainsbourg gems in English (with a bit of Khmer thrown in).
Mick Harvey explains, “After the initial recordings for Delirium Tremens, JP Shilo and I continued investigating the duets and female songs, many of which were unknown to me. So it became a voyage of discovery into quite a lot of material I hadn’t heard before. There are even a couple of songs for which the only versions existing from the 60s are from TV performances Serge gave.” [“The Drowned One” (La Noyée) and “Wolfy Teeth” (Dents de Lait, Dents de Loup)]
Work began on what would become Volumes 3 and 4 in late 2015. Recording in Melbourne with J.P. Shilo (with whom Harvey also worked on Rowland S. Howard’s Pop Crimes) and the rest of his Antipodean-based live band, 10 songs were tracked at Birdland Studios. The project then relocated to Berlin where a further 9 songs were recorded with Toby Dammit (The Stooges, Residents) and Bertrand Burgalat (of French label Tricatel), who was the string arranger on the first 2 volumes.
The resultant recordings served to whet Harvey’s appetite for more, and work almost immediately continued back in Melbourne in order to have enough material to fill two new volumes. Along with principle musical collaborator, Shilo, and Melbourne based musicians Glenn Lewis and Hugo Cran, Harvey enlisted the aforementioned female singers to help complete this final volume in the series.

Praise for Volume 3 Delirium Tremens
AllMusic – “Gainsbourg’s work is now often recorded in English, but Harvey remains one of his finest interpreters.”
The Guardian – “a revelation and a joy”
Record Collector – New Album of the Month “In lesser hands, the marriage of humour and existentialist angst may have been lost”
The Quietus – “…there is an energy that comes from the confidence of experience… Harvey makes each song here his own.”
Uncut – “Harvey’s intimate understanding of Serge’s rich catalogue allows him to smother markedly different compositions with a menacing Bad seeds swagger that unites Delirium Tremens.”MICK HARVEY : WEBSITE | FACEBOOK

LA Podcast Festival 2016 - Sep. 23-25 - Beverly Hills

Los Angeles Podcast Festival 2016 Showcases the Best in Podcasting- Comedy/True Crime/Storytelling/Sports/Pop Culture -At The 5th Annual Festival Held AtSofitel Los Angeles at Beverly HillsFriday, September 23 - Sunday, September 25, 2016Featuring Popular Podcasts Live, Panel Discussions,
Parties, Stand-Up Comedy+
LOS ANGELES, CA – July 27, 2016 – Los Angeles Podcast Festival 2016 (aka LA Podfest 2016 ), featuring live recording sessions of dozens of popular podcasts, panel discussions, parties, a podcast lab, and stand-up comedy, will take over Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills from Friday, September 23 to Sunday, September 25, 2016. This year’s festival, organized by founders Dave Anthony, Graham Elwood, and Chris Mancini, will unite roughly 2,100 attendees, including popular podcasters, their celebrity guests, fans from across the globe, and the podcasting industry, in celebration of the thriving medium. While the podcasters recording their shows live at the festival are traveling from as far away as Australia and New Zealand, roughly 75% of the shows featured in the festival are based in Southern California, generally considered ground zero for the industry, with many of the most popular shows ori ginating in Los Angeles. A list of 34 confirmed podcasts participating in this year’s festival is below this press release. Additional information can be found at http://www.lapodfest.com.
Three-day passes start at $99 + fees (Early Bird) – sold out! , $119 + fees (Kinda Early Bird) – sold out! , and $139 + fees. Single day tickets are available for $49 + fees (Friday), $69 + fees (Saturday), and $59 + fees (Sunday). Fans across the globe will also be able to purchase online access to video of podcasts and panels from the event for up to 30-days starting opening day of the event for $25 + fees. Additional information on the pay-per-view access will be updated on the event website. LA Podfest 2016, the fifth installment of the annual event – created by podcasters for the podcasting community, will be held at Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills (8555 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90048; http://www.sofitel-los-angeles.com/en; 310-278-5444). Specially discounted rooms at the Sofitel, starting at $209 per night, can also be booked via lapodfest.com. Parking at the Sofitel is $12/day.
“People should care about podcasting, which has risen from relative insignificance a decade ago into arguably the most exciting technology on the media landscape today, because it is the final frontier of completely uncensored communication,” says Anthony. “For the last four years at our festival, the very first to unite podcasts in front of a live audience, we have completely removed all filters between the artists and fans, with artists giving their work directly to fans in a very personal way.”
Podcasting Trends –Since the advent of podcasting, a decade ago, the medium has changed remarkably, particularly in the past few years. Recent growth in podcasting has been fueled by improved content quality, diversity in show offerings, increasingly sophisticated production values, and evolving technologies that allow for access on demand to anyone with a smartphone. While roughly 50% of the population doesn’t know what a podcast is (Source: Edison Research), wildly popular shows, like Serial (the This American Life spin-off which attracts millions of listeners per episode), have brought unprecedented attention to the medium. Other popular shows like Marc Maron’s WTF have attracted big name guests – big as in President Obama big. And, well-known celebrity podcasts, including shows by Adam Carolla and Shaquille O'Neal, have also put a spotlight on the medium.
Going forward, as web-based connectivity becomes increasingly more prevalent, particularly in automobiles, substantial additional growth in the field is expected. Podcasts offer fresh, free, on-demand alternatives to drivers stuck in traffic and on long trips, making the medium particularly desirable over traditional radio, paid Satellite radio, and the assorted overplayed and often damaged CDs rolling around in people’s cars. The Festival: Yesterday & Today –LA Podfest’s vibe is akin to a comedy festival merged with a fan-based event like Comic-Con with all live shows – a “comedy podicon,” if you will. It has seen steady growth over the past 5 years. In addition to increasingly expanding the scope of the event into new podcasting genres, the 2016 edition of the festival is also planning for a bigger audience and more panel discussions.
While the festival has always been comedy-centric, additional podcast genres have been added to the roster each year, with the festival now also including true crime, gaming/nerd culture, sports, news, music, pop culture, mental health, history, science, storytelling, and politics offerings. Panel discussions focus on skills and topics relevant to podcasters at all levels for them to learn about various aspects of podcasting. A special stand-up comedy show, held this year on Saturday, September 24th, is also one of the weekend’s highlights. In its first four years, the Los Angeles Podcast Festival staged over one hundred podcasts including Comedy Film Nerds , American Public Media’s Dinner Party Download , The Dollop , The Dork Forest , Doug Loves Movies , Girl on Guy with Aisha Tyler , improv4humans , The Indoor Kids , Jordan, Jesse, Go!, The JV Club , Keith and The Girl , The Mental Illness Happy Hour , Never Not Funny , Pop My Culture , RISK! , The Smartest Man in the World , HowStuffWorks’ Stuff You Should Know , Superego , Thrilling Adventure Hour , The Todd Glass Show , TOFOP , Welcome to Night Vale , Who Charted? , and WTF with Marc Maron . Each year, participating po dcasters often do very special, innovative shows at the festival – many trying to outdo each other for the annual occasion. Please see list of confirmed 2016 podcasters below this press release.Numerous celebrity guests also join the podcasters on stage every year. Past festivals have attracted numerous high-profile names including Maria Bamford, Dave Foley, Zach Galifianakis, Colin Hanks, Joey McIntyre,Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman, and many others.
“My favorite aspect of podcasting, as well as the yearly festival itself, is in the creation of community; the connections made between fans as well as the relationships generated between the podcasters, their special guests, and the audience are simply not found in any other medium,” says Mancini.“In general, the podcasters and their guests communicate in a much more informal and personal manner on these shows… plus, on the other end, fans generally listen on ear buds, which is also incredibly intimate with the podcasters talking directly into their ears…. and they are also often given unprecedented access to interact with the shows,” continues Elwood. “Podcasts have literally saved people’s lives, including a number of depressed and suicidal folks, who said podcasting helped them through dark times … and two podcast fans from San Diego even got engaged at the festival two years ago.”
About Los Angeles Podcast Festival (LA Podfest) –Los Angeles Podcast Festival, the premier live podcasting event in the world, brings together the biggest names in podcasting for a weekend-long blowout in Los Angeles, ground zero for the medium where many of the top shows are based. The annual festival unites podcasters, their special guests, fans, and the podcasting industry to celebrate all things podcasting. Launched on Kickstarter five years ago as a comedy-centric festival, over the years, the growing event has expanded to include a wide-range of additional podcast genres. The festival, created by podcasters for the podcasting community, is currently produced by founders Dave Anthony (The Dollop), Graham Elwood (Comedy Film Nerds), and Chris Mancini (Comedy Film Nerds). In addition to collaborating on the festival and their podcast, Elwood and Mancini also collaborated on the podcasting documentary, Ear Buds , which explores the unique and personal connection between podcasters and their fans. The film, which features footage from the festival and interviews with some of the biggest names in the medium, is currently on the film festival circuit.

More About Tele Novella:Tele Novella is an inspired macabre-pop band out of Austin, TX. They are dreamy, they are spooky, and they write real fucking songs. While one may detect the influence of the nocturnal jungles of Os Mutantes or the lapelled, knee-socked smarts of Belle and Sebastian, they have cobbled together a special kind of mineral all their own worth making room on the Table of Elements for. Earnest, yet sinister; Vampy, but sentimental. The precise recipe that goes into this concoction cannot be revealed, but it is a delightful snow globe of warm, colorful darkness.
In 2014, they won a contest for free recording time at Dub Narcotic Studios in Olympia, WA. This resulted in their first single, "Trouble in Paradise," that was later featured in the ABC television series Pretty Little Liars. Not long after that in 2015, their EP Cosmic Dial Tone was released on Los Angeles label Lollipop Records on the heels of a Wes Anderson tribute compilation (American Laundromat Records), to which they contributed a contagiously glad version of "Stephanie Says" by The Velvet Underground.

Har Mar Superstar Announces Best Summer Ever Tour Part Deux
HAR MAR SUPERSTAR ANNOUNCES BEST SUMMER EVER US TOUR: PART DEUX
BEST SUMMER EVER OUT NOW ON CULT RECORDS
WATCH & SHARE: Har Mar Superstar - "It Was Only Dancing (Sex)"“Noisey f***s with Har Mar because his voice is supple like a 17-year- old's thigh and he is extremely himself at all times.” - NOISEY
"'Best Summer Ever' is a wild genre homage that all fits nicely under the
Har Mar Superstar banner." - A.V. Club
"[Har Mar Superstar] is a pop star who defies all traditional pop star rules...His voice explodes like glittery honey over 'Summer‘s' pared-down, synthesized beats." - LA Magazine
"The man who became Har Mar Superstar could be called a party animal, a gossip hound, and, yes, maybe even a joke at times. But you could never call him a slacker." - Star TribuneSean Tillmann has been making records under the name Har Mar Superstar since 1999. Under the Har Mar moniker Sean has gone through a plethora of phases ranging from fun-loving beats-based music pioneer (he and Peaches shared stages early on) to angry arena crowd opener (public lewdness police records to prove it) to soul music crooner. His last album Bye Bye 17 opened a lot of peoples’ minds to his songwriting prowess, which has existed since day one of his career.
For years Tillmann was an artist’s artist when The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Gossip, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many other legends decided to collaborate and/ or take him on tour. Different phases of his career brought him fame through the fickle worlds of indie, British pop, LA DJ-dom, and New York night crawling.
Bye Bye 17 was an eye opener to the music world, not that Tillmann wasn’t used to accolades through his former work with Sean Na Na, Gayngs, Neon Neon, and Calvin Krime. Sean had “arrived as a songwriter”. After living in LA and NYC for 12 years, Sean moved back to Minneapolis, MN where he is most creative. With the help of Chris Bierden (Polica, Bye Bye 17), Ryan McMahon (Har Mar, Lizzo), Matt Sweeney (Chavez, Adele, Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash, Cat Stevens), and Ryan Olson (Polica, Marijuana Deathsquads) Har Mar Superstar’s album “Best Summer Ever” was born.
Best Summer Ever since it’s inception has been imagined as a Greatest Hits of Har Mar Superstar from 1950-1985. Tillmann was born in 1978. Wrap your head around that, please.
Best Summer Ever is a slow burner with many ballads, dance-able tracks, and co-writes. Long-time friend Julian Casablancas (Cult Records founder, The Strokes), Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, Erykah Badu, Voidz, Weezer), and Tillmann worked very closely to make the concept happen. Karen O, Matt Sweeney, and James Levy (Reputante, Lolawolf) all helped write songs on the record. Bobby Charles wrote “I Hope”. “Youth Without Love” was a demo written by Julian that was sitting around that Har Mar fell in love with, so they made it for the record.
Look out for Har Mar Superstar, now fronting a six-piece band complete with horns, touring worldwide this year. The live show has always been a fun, sweat-soaked celebration of joy. The man was born to rock a stage. Join the party.

Lee Scratch Perry "Must Be Free" coming September 23rd
The dub reggae legend returns to the studio with a wide-ranging narrative in collaboration with Spacewave
On "Must Be Free", the Grammy-winning artist, songwriter, and producer doesn't hesitate with his unexpurgated commentary on his spirituality, good and evil, the human condition, and aliens. Featured styles include reggae, dub, dubstep, acid jazz, and electronic music. Special guests include Subatomic Sound System, The Groovematist, and IAmPhloboi.
Perry was one of the pioneers in the development of dub music with his early adoption of effects and remixing to create new instrumental or vocal versions of existing reggae tracks. He has worked with Bob Marley and the Wailers, Junior Murvin, the Congos, Max Romeo and many others.
Perry has over 60 albums to his name, can read minds, once put a curse on the BBC for not playing his records, and was turned into Superman by Haitian zombie drugs.
