“Given their track record for talent with Gov Ball, Founders comes through with an equally impressive lineup for the two-day weekend festival.” - Complex
Founders Entertainment is proud to partner with Metropolitan Hospitality, a subsidiary of the New York Mets, as they launch The Meadows Music and Arts Festival this fall. As born and bred New Yorkers, an important pillar of the plan for The Meadows Music and Arts Festival is civic engagement with the Queens communities surrounding the event. Founders Entertainment has maintained a long track record of giving back to the neighborhoods its festivals and events call home by working with and donating to local organizations, nonprofits, and community groups. In 2015 alone their Governors Ball Music Festival generated hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars in economic activity and wages for NYC, with many of those jobs created in the East Harlem and South Bronx neighborhoods surrounding Randall’s Island. Through similar partnerships with local organizations in Queens to be unveiled in the coming weeks, Founders Entertainment look forward to bringing the same economic impact and benefit to the Flushing Meadows Corona Park area and greater NYC through The Meadows Music and Arts Festival.
A major element to The Meadows Music and Arts Festival will also be the careful curation of a wide selection of featured food vendors and craft cocktails available to satisfy the hungry crowds at the event. The festival will embrace the amazing culinary diversity of Queens and New York City in general, following an attention to detail and immaculate taste similar to Governors Ball’s stellar food line up, which in 2016 won praise and attention from Food and Wine, New York Daily News, AM New York, In Style, and many others for what GQ described as the “culinary glory” found at the festival. Food and craft cocktail lineup for The Meadows will be announced soon.

Scarlett Saunders shares new track 'Circus' - Supports from Clash, Going Solo, We Close Tonight
Creative polymath Scarlett Saunders Shares ‘Circus’ - a poetic and sentimental exploration of love through left field pop music
“A deeply personal, evocative, and poetic piece of songwriting” Clash
“A jazzy-infused tune that gives off a warmth which transports you in a state of inner-peace” Going Solo

Listen & Share - ‘Circus’ via SoundcloudListen & Share - ‘Windmill’ via Soundcloud
Download the EP ‘Blue Again’ (for reviewing purposes only) HERE
About Blue AgainPoignancy simmers beneath ‘Blue Again’, the new EP by Felixstowe artist Scarlett Saunders. On the one hand it’s a pop record - the immediacy of the music makes this much obvious. On the other, it’s something literary and harder to define; a probing exploration of love lost and time passing. It’s a record that is just as much at home in a casual pop lover’s library as it is in the most zealous followers of leftfield music.
Opener ‘I Should Know’ Scarlett plays her darkest hand. The sultry vocal stylings and direct address to her father are reminiscent of Lykke Li. “Are you stupid enough to touch her with your love?” goes the hook atop warm synths and clean minimal production. In Scarlett’s words it’s about “the initial anger and confusion that my father was going out with someone who was exactly the same age as me and also 19 years old at the time.”
‘Under My Feet’ is the EP’s turning point. It’s a moment of relative respite as the speaker takes stock of her losses and recognising that she’s “made of stone, not built for love”. It’s also a very organic song - comprised of a piano and a steely lead guitar. Both conjure up an ambience of their own.
On ‘Circus’ tugs at every fibre in a heartstring from the moment its deeply hypnotic synths swell in. It’s a song about first love and the sometimes debilitating nostalgia borne on remembrances of formative relationships. Scarlett’s voice is honeyed and bluesy as she juxtaposes imagery of play (carousels and the circus) with a pining for an irretrievable and naive past.
With ‘Windmill’ closing the EP, everything ebbs away leaving us beguiled. The gossamer like sheen on the lead guitar evokes a feeling close to Jeff Buckley as the lilting waltz casts the listener into suspended animation. That Scarlett has loved deeply is obvious from the atmospherics alone. “Running in circles, like a windmill I spin” she sings in her best jazz shoes, reanimating the bones of fallen heroes like Ella Fitzgerald. Ending the EP in a gale of ambient white noise, Scarlett Saunders has conjured a poetic exploration of love that is sure to enrapt a vast and diverse array of music and lyric lovers.

Charlotte Day Wilson Premieres New Track "Find You"; Debut Release Drops August 19
CHARLOTTE DAY WILSON PREMIERES NEW TRACK "FIND YOU"DEBUT RELEASE CDW OUT AUGUST 26ON TOUR WITH LOCAL NATIVES THIS FALL

Toronto's Charlotte Day Wilson announced today that she will release her much-anticipated debut release CDW on August 26. Wilson shared the news along with a dazzling new track called "Find You," which Zane Lowe premiered on Beats 1 this morning, followed by an online premiere on Complex . "'Find You' is an honest and triumphant declaration of love in the wake of self realization," says Complex. "It is as much a song about feeling ready to love another person as it is a romantic tribute to her own newfound feeling that she is finding her place in the world."
LISTEN TO "FIND YOU"
CDW will include Wilson's breakout singles "After All" and "Work," which can currently be heard in Apple's Shot on iPhone campaign. Wilson is also featured on BADBADNOTGOOD's new album IV, singing on the track "In Your Eyes."

"'Work' has a soulful ambience that is heightened by Wilson's sighed harmonies and evocative storytelling... For any hustler on the move, 'Work' is an ode to honoring commitment, to the beauty of mastering your own destiny. Wilson is evidently doing just that." - Pitchfork
"'Work' is a song that moves slow as snowfall, a thick layer of organ harmonies are nudged toward crescendo by the lazy shuffle of drums and the quiet flicker of a guitar. For Charlotte, 'Work' isn't about the breathless, anxiety-inducing approach to getting shit done, but the courage that comes through tenacity." - The Fader
"Charlotte Day Wilson is one of those artists that reminds us you don't need to be overpowering in order to command a track. She's a master of understanding when to let her voice be the focal point, and when to let it take the backseat to her smooth, electro-soul production." - Pigeons & Planes

Adam Green - "Me From Far Away"
Today, renowned musician and filmmaker Adam Green debuts his video for "Me From Far Away" via NOISEY. The track comes from his Adam Green's Aladdin project – a hyper-sensory, poetic and humorously subversive take on the classic Arabian Nights tale, written and directed by Green. The movie features a brand new soundtrack album composed and recorded by Green. It can be viewed at http://adamgreensaladdin.com.
In addition, Green has also announced a combination movie and concert tour of North America and Europe - the full length film will be screened before all concerts! The new video is comprised of tour and concert footage, if you'd like to see what the experience is like. The film is a modern day version of Aladdin, with Green starring as the titular character, and explores the recesses of Green’s symbolic imagination wherein the lamp is a 3-D printer, the princess is a decadent socialite, the planet gets a sex-change and its population prints out an analog version of the Internet.
“With Aladdin, I wanted to create a single and unified experience to showcase my music, art and writing,” said Adam Green. “When creating Aladdin, I approached the script like it was a song. It has been the creative journey of a lifetime, and I’m so excited to put this out!”
The fantasy film stars an ensemble cast featuring some of New York’s biggest arts, music, and film talent, including:
Adam Green - AladdinMacaulay Culkin - Ralph the Rebel LeaderNatasha Lyonne - Aladdin’s MomJack Dishel - Uncle Gary / SultanAlia Shawkat - Aladdin's sisterFrancesco Clemente - The GenieHar Mar Superstar - British Druggie GuyDevendra Banhart - SaucemakerBip Ling - the PrincessZoe Kravitz - Old MinerThe movie was filmed entirely with handmade paper-máche sets, with more than 500 props and 30 rooms constructed out of phone books, newspapers, glue, and house-paint. The satirical odyssey revolves around Aladdin’s dysfunctional family, who live in an ordinary city ruled by a corrupt Sultan and explores themes of technology, government repression, greed and true-love.
