Recorded in London and produced by Rich Cooper, “Lionhearted” is a song “written for people who don’t feel they quite know what they’re doing. It’s about the lack of confidence and difficulty of getting into that healthy way of thinking,” Billie explains.
Hailing from the cathedral city of Ripon in North Yorkshire, 17 year-old Billie Marten has music in her blood, growing up listening to the works of John Martyn, Laura Marling, David Bowie, Portishead and Loudon Wainwright. At the age of eight, given a guitar and taught four chords by her father, Billie wrote her first song. Billie Marten appeared on the BBC Sound of 2016 short list earlier this year.
The 13 songs that form Writing of Blues and Yellows are as remarkable for their folksy beauty as they are the age of their creator. Intimate and wise, and allowed the time and space to breathe, each song spins with those unhurried, enchanting lyrics that linger long after they have left Billie’s lips via her pure, otherworldly voice. It’s a record that signals the introduction of a very special young British talent.

Today, Prinze George are streaming their debut LP, Illiterate Synth Pop , via Pandora in the US and The 405 in Europe, a week ahead of it's August 5 release date.
In February of 2015, Prinze George started traveling to Minneapolis, MN to record Illiterate Synth Pop with Evan Bakke (Prince, Fraea, Soul Asylum) at Sounds Expensive Studio. They kept coming back in between tours with Albert Hammond Jr., Little Boots, Walk the Moon and more, and finished recording in early 2016.
Prinze George is Kenny Grimm (production/instrumental), Naomi Almquist (vocals) and Isabelle De Leon (drums), who are based in Maryland. Kenny and Naomi grew up together in PrinceGeorge's County, where they met Isabelle while she was in college. Formed in 2013, Prinze George has quickly exploded onto the Indie scene. Following the release of their breakthrough single, "Victor," The Wild Honey Pie declared, "[This band] could be destined for Indie Pop royalty status." Climbing to #1 on the Hype Machine charts, the single and the band have won the attention of music blogs, fans, and labels from all over the world. "Victor" was also selected for the movie soundtrack of Warner Bros.' biggest European release in 2014, "Honig Im Kopf," a film directed by Til Schweiger.
"Illiterate Synth Pop is a panorama of the people we grew up with and the places we've travelled to with them; both inside and outside of our home. Coming of age, Love, loneliness, and feeling stuck are frequent themes. This collection of songs is a great reflection of who we are,” explains Naomi. "Making the album in Minneapolis was a tremendous experience because we were immersed in a beautiful creative space that allowed us the freedom to work and play at our own pace. We were also surrounded by people who are focused and professional but also playful and free, which is imperative for our creative process. "David Bowie was a visionary artist whose generosity, creative spirit, and fearlessness will stay with me the rest of my days. Beyond Now is dedicated to him and to all who loved him."

Brian Wilson is one of popular music’s most deeply revered figures, a legendary writer, producer, arranger and performer of some of the most cherished music in pop music history. Wilson began his career as a teenaged founding member of The Beach Boys, who signed with Capitol Records in July 1962 and released their first album, Surfin’ Safari, that same year. The band’s initial surf-rock focus was soon broadened to include other themes. Wilson’s innovative vocal and instrumental arrangements for major hits including “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “God Only Knows,” and the No. 1 smash “Good Vibrations” made The Beach Boys America’s preeminent band of the 1960s.
Wilson has also achieved great solo success with 11 of his own albums released to date, including his acclaimed 2004 completion of an album he first began recording in the ‘60s, Brian Wilson Presents… SMiLE. (July 28, 2016) – Music legend Brian Wilson and BMG, in collaboration with the groundbreaking and critically-acclaimed PBS television series “Soundstage,” have announced the release of Brian Wilson and Friends, a new live CD/DVD set andBlu-ray edition available in stores and online July 29. Filmed live at the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas on December 12, 2014, the 19-track CD and 26-track DVD/Blu-ray editions feature many of the top hits and fan favorites spanning Wilson’s 54-year career with The Beach Boys and as a solo artist.

Brian Wilson & Friends originally aired on PBS nationwide throughout 2015. Initially offered exclusively in DVD and Blu-ray configurations as a premium gift incentive for viewers contributing donations during the network’s annual pledge drive, the new Brian Wilson & Friendsrelease marks the first time that a companion CD is being offered, along with bonus material not included during the public television airings including bonus tracks, behind-the-scenes footage, and interviews with guest artists.
The concert recording features Wilson – co-founder of the iconic band The Beach Boys – performing alongside his legendary touring band with longtime bandmate Al Jardine, former Beach Boys sidemen Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar, with special guest appearances from Grammy award-winners Nate Ruess of Fun., country artist Kacey Musgraves, and acclaimed trumpet player/composer Mark Isham; Sebu Simonian of the multi-platinum, chart-topping indie pop-duo Capital Cities; and Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward of indie duo She & Him.
Brian Wilson & Friends contains many of the classic songs he is known for with “California Girls,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Good Vibrations,” and many more making the set list. The release of Brian Wilson and Friends coincides with his Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary World Tour , a celebration and final performance of the acclaimed album in its entirety. Brian Wilson is one of popular music’s most deeply revered figures, a legendary writer, producer, arranger and performer of some of the most cherished music in pop music history. Wilson began his career as a teenaged founding member of The Beach Boys, who signed with Capitol Records in July 1962 and released their first album, Surfin’ Safari, that same year. The band’s initial surf-rock focus was soon broadened to include other themes. Wilson’s innovative vocal and instrumental arrangements for major hits including “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “God Only Knows,” and the No. 1 smash “Good Vibrations” made The Beach Boys America’s preeminent band of the 1960s.
Wilson has also achieved great solo success with 11 of his own albums released to date, including his acclaimed 2004 completion of an album he first began recording in the ‘60s, Brian Wilson Presents… SMiLE. The album earned Wilson his first GRAMMY® for a recording, which was followed by his second GRAMMY® win for producing The Beach Boys’ acclaimed 2011 release, The SMiLE Sessions. With his own band, Wilson has performed major, sold-out tours in recent years, and with The Beach Boys, he celebrated the iconic band’s 50th anniversary in 2012 with a major international tour and acclaimed studio album, That’s Why God Made The Radio.
In 2015, Wilson released his latest solo album No Pier Pressure(Capitol) and was the subject of the critically acclaimed, award-winning biopic Love & Mercy (Roadside Attractions/Lionsgate). Set against the era-defining catalog of the music, the film intimately examines the personal voyage and ultimate salvation of the icon whose success came at extraordinary personal cost. The culmination of these projects produced Wilson’s first Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song (Motion Picture) for his song “One Kind Of Love” featured in the film.
Brian Wilson is a Kennedy Center Honors recipient, a Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, and a U.K. Music Hall of Fame inductee. As a member of The Beach Boys, Wilson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and honored with The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001.

Born in 1981 from industrial music behemoth Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV is fronted by Throbbing Gristle's founder: anti-hero, artist, and Pandrogenist, Genesis P-Orridge.
Psychic TV is particularly known for its intense and visceral live performances and for a creative lineage that includes cultural luminaries such as William S. Burroughs, Derek Jarman, and Timothy Leary, among others.
Right from the outset, Psychic TV in turn made highly innovative and unflinchingly provocative music blending elements of psychedelia and dance with Industrial sounds (named "HYPERDELIC" by Genesis). As with Throbbing Gristle, the details of Psychic TV's packaging, marketing and the radical lifestyle of the musicians were all treated as equally crucial components of the final aesthetic statement. For some 14 odd years, Psychic TV recorded and released dozens of live and studio albums ending up in the Guiness Book Of Records for releasing more albums in one year than any other artist (even Elvis!). Psychic TV was terminated in the mid 90's as Genesis pursued further musical goals with h/er spoken-word and expanded poetry/video installation project Thee Majesty.
In 2003, artist and percussionist Edley ODowd gently but persistently persuaded Genesis to rekindle her rock spirit and Psychic TV. Edley succeeded and they played their first public show that December. The reactivated ensemble led by ODowd, has been touring the world and releasing music ever since.
The full history of Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and her varied seminal musical exploits of the past three decades as well as her soclo-cultural adventures would easily fill a book. Soft Skull/Shortwave Books published "Painful but Fabulous: The Lives and Art of Genesis P-Orridge" in 2003 and more recently with "Thee Psychick Bible" in hardcover in 2009 and paperback in 2010). Genesis continues to exhibit artwork around the world. Most recently at Art Basel, Miami, The Serpentine Gallery, London and a career retrospective at The Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh. H/er most current exhibition "Try To Altar Everything" is at The Rubin Museum in New York City through August 2016.
Already living a creative further chapter of h/er "life" book Genesis continues to provoke and explore in her very public private life; from replacing all her healthy teeth with solid gold permanent replicas in an homage to Pierre Clemente inLuis Bunuel's "Belle De Jour." Littering the dictionary and culture with new words for new, original ideas Genesis can be said to follow the serious process and joy-filled strategy of "When there is no example imagine it, when there is no word for it, invent one."

The new visual was directed by Jennifer Juniper Stratford, media artist and founder of Telefantasy Studios, an analog media lab dedicated to the creation of avant-garde television and experiments in video. The video was shot using an obsolete television camera and processed with a video synthesizer and a reconfigured broadcast mixer to create a realm outside of this dimension [link here].
Beach House’s previously announced tour schedule in support ofThank Your Lucky Stars and Depression Cherry resumes August 5th in San Francisco at Outside Lands and runs through November 4th-6th in Austin at Sound on Sound Festival.

Teenage Fanclub star in video for “I'm In Love” and announce US tour
With the release of their hugely anticipated tenth album Here just over six weeks away, Teenage Fanclub today unveiled a video for first single “I’m In Love.” The band also announced their first North American tour dates since playing the Merge 25 festival in 2014.
Watch & share the video for "I'm In Love" now The video was shot by Donald Milne and Brian Sweeney in and around Edwyn Collins’ new Clashnarrow Studios in the far northwest of Scotland, where the band had gone to record some B-sides. In addition to performing the track, the band members can be found showing off their impressive soccer skills on the beach.
