Hello everyone.  Welcome to our new album, 'Hang'.  Thank you so much for being patient
awaiting the arrival of it.  We appreciate your ongoing interest in the group. The new record
introduces a new type of rock music to the world. It is unlodged from time.  I think we are
channeling another version of ourselves but the place where they live is very old and music
plays and it is an older America when mansions had ballrooms and orchestras.

Joseph Hein Premieres Video for "In The Sunshine"

Watch the video for "In The Sunshine"Joseph Hein has today released the video for his single "In The Sunshine."  Pancakes and Whiskey  premiered the video and wrote, "With a unique lyric delivery, the song bounces around with splashes of rich-synth, minimal guitar and an airy feel that makes us just feel good. The video is follows a woman throughout the night around a city and when the guitar solo comes in, the day turns to night as the song fades away - reminding us every night has a dawn and every day is another chance to rock this thing called life." The video also features social media influencer Haley Madison. 
Of the video, director Ian W. McGee noted, "I met Joseph Hein in Washougal, WA in 2014.  He was working on building a tree house for a documentary I was shooting. At the time he had just parted ways with Foxygen. After a few late night jam sessions, I knew he would be a lot of fun to work with creatively. When he completed his album in August 2016, it was clear his single "In the Sunshine" commanded a visual story.  So Joseph, Yellow Year, and The Paint Shop teamed up to tell that story."
The track comes off of Hein's newly released album AM Gold, an album Red Line Roots spoke of saying, "With a voice that is pure and understated, reminiscent of Mason Jennings, Hein captured me from the first beat with infectious hooks and crisp instrumentation. In a crowded field of incredible music that has come out this fall, Hein's album has stood out to me as one of the best I've heard this year. It's that good."
More About Joseph Hein:Joseph grew up making music in the rural eastern WA region known as the Palouse. With that small town isolation the multi instrumentalist Joseph Hein gleaned from a range of influences and played with a tight knit group of kids in all sorts of bands that ranged from punk to electronic pop. The path continued into the DIY scene of Olympia, WA where that intensely creative place inspired further collaborations that continue today. 
Hein has released two official albums as a solo artist and AM Gold is his third.  Between touring, recording and collaborating with others he hides out in the hills and plays his new bass.

Homeshake (the musical project of Peter Sagar) cracks a window open with his third album Fresh Air, out February 3 via Sinderlyn.  FADER debuted lead single "Call Me Up" describing that the "track pushes his bedroom R&B in a slightly funkier direction..a strong sense of hospitality is the track's most defining characteristic."  Homeshake explains "it's a song about a spiritual connection strong enough to allow you to empathize with your partner from a great distance."
Born in the bleak isolation of the secluded prairie city of Edmonton, Canada, Peter Sagar worked with friends in a number of local bands before picking up and moving to Montreal in 2011 to begin recording under the Homeshake moniker. Following two self-released cassettes (The Homeshake Tapes and Dynamic Meditation) and two acclaimed full lengths (In The Shower and Midnight Snack), Sagar gives us Fresh Air.
Fresh Air continues Sagar's exploration of dreamy, downtempo bedroom R&B and draws inspiration from such disparate artists like Sade, The Band, Broadcast, Prince, and Angelo Badalamenti. As the title Fresh Air suggests, Sagar's songs were created to clear his listeners' minds of negativity. Full of smokey, laid back love songs and airy productions, Sagar's decidedly stoned sound is a breath of fresh air.

New Album Pony Show Out Now On Lotuspool Records

Heidi Lynne Gluck has premiered her video for “ Better Homes & Gardens ” with  The Big Takeover . The song appears on her debut full-length album Pony Show, available now via Lotuspool Records. Additionally, the album track “Jumping Vows” was featured on Tig Notaro’s Amazon series, “One Mississippi.”

Don't be tricked by the perky piano – “Better Homes & Gardens” is a jab at the illusion of security that domesticity claims to provide. Landscaped yards, clean curtains, etiquette and decorum, and the emptiness that a highly controlled existence fulfilling expectations is sure to leave you with.  "I comb out every tangle/All the world's a cage/It takes some kind of actress/To fake the way I fake"

The sophisticated classic-pop instrumentation, played entirely by Gluck, is a spirited contrast to the lyrical lament. Playful descending piano dances with a mischievous Motown bass line and driving tambourine. Accordion fills the spaces between, and a high lonesome harmonica (which would be right at home on a Townes Van Zandt song,) works as a tearful cry for freedom on this Brill Building-meets-Broadway number.

Gluck says, "Better Homes & Gardens is a warning to myself - a pact I've made that I will not reach the end of my life filled with regret. After one slap-happy brainstorm, it was clear that director W. Dave Keith was up for a fun and ambitious video concept and brought in the Lotuspool DIT (Do It Together) team to morph my head with the body of a little girl for a frolicking and twisted video."

Pony Show’s narrative touches on perseverance amid the captivity of love, loss, and limbo. Produced, composed, and recorded by Gluck herself, the album demonstrates Heidi’s ability to transport listeners, taking cues from the tradition of her heroes and fellow Canadian exports, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, and Neil Young. Her sophisticated arrangements provide a strong foundation for melancholy lyrics sung with a delicate, self-assured, and authentic voice.

“ Blackbird ,” described by Q as "… a world of smeared mascara and trailer-park heartache,” and by The Times as a “Languorous Balearic ballad with sullenly gorgeous vocals” is taken from the band’s debut album, released earlier this year on Mute.

onDeadWaves will also release Dusk Sessions #2 on December 2, which will feature a brand new recording of “Winter’s Child,” plus a very special cover of Yazoo’s classic 1982 hit “Only You.”

The seeds of James Chapman and Polly Scattergood’s creative partnership were sown in 2011, at Mute’s legendary Short Circuit festival at London's Roundhouse. The night saw different collaborations with Mute artists and Polly and James paired up to perform each other’s songs. Though each had primarily worked alone before, there was something natural about the chemistry between them. "The gig was one of the most enjoyable I've done" says Polly. "And as soon as we finished, we said it'd be cool to do something else."

With the delicate and otherworldly croon of singer Juliana Ronderos along with influences and samples taken from different cultures, Salt Cathedral have always pushed the limits of the electropop genre by incorporating unexpected human elements above their gorgeous arrangement of twinkling synths and dark, entrancing beats. "Unraveling" is only one in a series of new singles to push that mission even further. Describing their inspiration, the band shared this note with their new single: "For our sweet sixteen equivalent in Colombia, the "fiesta de quince (15)" we would gather with friends in parties called 'Minitecas' with a DJ, some lights, no princess gowns or suits, homemade sandwiches and Doritos, and we would couple dance to tropical rhythms such as salsa, merengue, reggaeton and champeta. Dancing is ingrained in our culture: We dance on weekends, at family gatherings, on New Years, and some even dance on Christmas. As we started to write new music, we realized we wanted to write songs people could move to -- music that felt uplifting and fun.
We first reached out to collaborate with Matisyahu because of his ability and talent to write energizing, upbeat music. Chastity (Brandon Williams) hails from Whitby, Ontario, a suburb whose spirit is well removed from the city of Toronto. Chastity channels the feeling of youth on the fringe, focusing on the familiar and earnest connections found among the pent up suburban blue-collar. The genre bending music of Chastity hovers in a space oscillating between urgency, melody and noise - an artifact of youth culture that forms a bridge between isolation and collectivity.Chastity has signed to Brooklyn label Captured Tracks, a label known for spearheading it's own brand of youth culture through it's impeccable roster including Mac Demarco, DIIV, Perfect Pussy, Wild Nothing and more. The TAPE re-release consists of 4 tracks recorded in 2014 and 2015 and should be viewed more as a collection of demos as opposed to the traditional EP. 
Williams is currently touring North America extensively and is also working on his debut album which will be released in 2017.  Captured Tracks will also be releasing a 7" later this winter which includes new material, watch this space for more details.

Descendents Create 'Feel This' Beer

DESCENDENTS COLLABORATE WITH MIKKELLER BREWING SAN DIEGO BREWERY ON SIGNATURE BEER

‘FEEL THIS COFFEE IPA’ DEBUTING AT SAN DIEGO BEER WEEK NOVEMBER 4th
[image error] Descendents have announced that they have partnered with San Diego’sMikkeller Brewery to create a new beer called Feel This – a 7.3 % coffee IPA brewed with Dark Matter Hypercaffium Spazzinate coffee beans.

“Having grown up in the punk rock and skate punk scene, it was an honor to be given the opportunity to create a beer for the Descendents to celebrate their recently released album,” said Bill Batten, Mikkeller SD Brew Master). “While doing this collaboration we got an opportunity to meet the Dark Matter boys and learn about their coffee process. Using their roasting profiles, in combination with our passion for hop-forward IPA's, we were able to create a special beer as unique as the band.”

The beer ships from the brewery to distribution outlets in 25 states across the United States. It will be available to retailer and consumers while supplies last. A portion will be sold through Mikkeller's webshop in Europe.
 
The beer is named after the legendary punk band’s song “Feel This” from the Descendents most-recent album  Hypercaffium Spazzinate , which is out now on Epitaph.
 
Fans in the San Diego, California area will get a chance to taste the Feel This Coffee IPA for the first time at the San Diego Beer Week on November 4th.
