This is very quickly devolving into a YouTube culture story wrapped inside an urban sci-fi novel, and I'm disappointed. Hank even name-dropped "Crash Course" and like... UGGgghhhh. "Write what you know" I guess, but that's exactly what I didn't want out of this novel.

Ugh, I love Moracho’s writing so much. With the very first scene, she establishes everything we need to know about the setting & the people who inhabit it. It felt cinematic; a brilliantly executed opening where no detail is wasted.
