Character has been established. Plus the next one isn’t set in the financial world so that’s a plus. I liked the scenes with his roommates, and the fight scenes were pretty cool too. I feel like a shitload of time passed in this book though without him achieving much I mean like 6 people died before he got to the bottom of it. The ending took a weird turn but overall I liked it and would read more.

This was pretty good, I feel like it was longer than it needed to be though and pretty much all of the financial stuff went right over my head. Devine seems like he could be a cool character, it was kinda interesting that he wasn’t actually a police man or a spy, he was a soldier so he was very much fumbling his way through this whole thing but he did ok. I feel like the next one might be better know that the

Still good. I liked the ending too with Elvis helping people even beyond the case. I was thinking it in reading voodoo river too but I love that Robert always wraps up all the loose ends which is great. In Robert we trust hehe

Finding who hurt Elvis not solving the case. It was also kinda interesting for those chapters to see Elvis a bit all over the place considering he was the one with the knowledge of the case but couldn’t remember it all. Lots of good Elvis and Joe moments in this one. Not a lot of Lucy too which I’m honestly ok with. The ending was a little bit meh with the mum handling the baddy more than Elvis but it was still

Rushed out to get this one on the release date. Can’t believe it’s #20! I liked this one but the victims in this case were real sad. Poor people were just a bit broken by the baddy. Elvis getting jumped was real intense too but I actually did like those chapters because you got to see Joe be more emotional than we’ve seen before, he was worried for poor Elvis and angry too. I like that Joe’s mission was

Took a long while to get going but I still liked it. This is the one where he’s tracking down an adopted movie stars birth parents and uncovers a blackmailing scheme along the way. It was cool how they took down the baddies at the end though, Elvis and Joe are badass as always. And you just knew someone was getting eaten by that turtle. I liked it, but there was too much Lucy and not enough Joe for me haha

I hit the jackpot at the port Lincoln book shop, now all I’m missing is Taken and then I’ve got them all. Finally read the instruction of Lucy’s character and got to be honest I still don’t love her, even in this one. They just don’t really work, Elvis is too grey for her and as we see that causes issues for them later but it does even in this one too. This wasn’t the most exciting case, I feel like it

I liked all his little daily prompts that he’d get and how they’d change as he learnt and forgot parts of himself and his objectives. He was very badass but it was pretty brutal in parts, and I feel like everyone got more gangster as it went on which I didn’t love. A trippy read with a somewhat hopeful ending, I’m going to pretend that it all works out great for him and his family.

so much and he just kept losing them, the ending, when his wife came to find him again even though he doesn’t remember her, made me hopeful that maybe he could start again with them which would be nice. There was some tricky moments in amongst the mind fuckery because endel was playing the fucking long con even when he’d hidden parts of the plan so deep from himself, and by extension us as the reader.

being like oof please don’t let this be our future. I didn’t super love endel, he was a bit of a thug, but then you realise how many times he’s been rewritten that maybe the thug version was just what someone else made him and not his actual true self. I was still rooting for him though, I wanted him to get out and have a happy ending with his family. The parts with his family were my favourite, he loved them

I feel like this was the ultimate unreliable narrator story because due to his memories being altered so much even he didn’t know what was real or not, what was true or a lie. This poor bastard was mind fucked so many times in this story which was honestly really rough to read. All of the memory alteration stuff was pretty trippy but like most sci fi it was grounded in just enough reality that you find yourself

Super fun comics! Love to see all the little extra in between stories. It’s like getting extra episodes which is awesome. Some very cute and funny team moments. Just a fun little read with my favourite characters.

it’d go. But I thought it was cool how the ending mirrored the start. A very intense read with good characters and some good twists.

wanted the good guys to win but knew that they might not be able to. The quiet respect and affection that grew between Sciona and Thomil was nice but bittersweet given the ending. Sciona was such a strong smart character and I’m so glad she got to have her badass sticking it to the system moments. But I really wish she’d been able to reconcile with her cousin. The ending was crazy! Definitely not how I thought

This was a pretty sad one but I still really enjoyed it, it sucked me in. The magic system was really different, kind of like if coding was magic. I thought the characters were interesting too they were both quite flawed but I still liked them, thomil was my favourite, I feel real bad for him though, sad little bean. It explored sexism and racism in an interesting way, and you really felt the injustice of it all and
