Their sleuthing. The mystery was intriguing. It was left pretty open ended though, I would have liked just a little bit more, to see how some things played out. But overall it was good and the characters were written very well.

I feel like this took me forever considering it’s such a short book, but it was over the craziness of Christmas to be fair. I thought this was pretty cool, a tricky little mystery with interesting characters told over the period of one night. I thought the cast of characters was funky and surprisingly distinct and unique for such a short story. The interrelations between them all was fun to read while they did

I feel like Alessa really became a side character herself which was weird. She didn’t really do anything. And I feel like the author definitely got sick of writing around Dante’s lack of healing because they got rid of that real quick and in a dumb way. And who even cared about the overall battle it was just boring. A very disappointing read. As far as I’m concerned the 1st one is now a stand alone.

This was a massive disappointment. I loved the 1st one and this one was just shit! It was so boring if nothing else. I skimmed it very heavily to the end. Dante and Alessa had like no relationship in this one which sucked, they were both so unbelievably insecure and the miscommunication was ridiculous. And no new characters! The new and side characters sucked and there was just so much of them.

A quick reread before I tackle the second one. I still really loved this. Alessa and Dante’s relationship is just really lovely. Two little broken beans mending one another. I really love how they have a solid friendship before they properly get together. I liked the other fontes more than I remembered too which was nice. I’m worried it’s all going to go to hell in a hand basket but fingers crossed I guess.

This was still amazing! Loved it just as much the second time. Fox is my favourite, his interactions with Death and Brandt are great. His relationship with Brandt is such a bittersweet one but they get their happy ending eventually. I really like all the other characters too. I love how the Game is written and I like how the story is non linear but you do get all the pieces eventually. A great reread!

in the fact that noon is just seemingly the chosen one of everything and got a cool dragon before anyone. And who doesn’t love a know it all dragon at the 11th hour ugh. Overall this was alright, I’d probably still read the next one just to see where it goes.

blown master was lazy. They all felt a little one dimensional considering the size of the book. I actually really enjoyed the parts with Tors cousin becoming friends with the Viking guy and sharing their traditions with him, that was just really sweet and felt like the work that needed to be done to actually heal his people, not whatever the crazy sister was doing with the tree god.The ending was a bit of a let down

they take. I liked the characters but they weren’t my favourite that I’ve read. Of them though I liked Tor, an interesting take on the vampire idea. And he was pretty badass. Vintage was cool at first but she irritated me as it went on, she just kept taking stupid fucking risks in which she was never the one to actually pay the price. Noon was ok but I feel like her instant power up from complete novice to full
