I had totally forgotten how much the 60s setting informs this and that Aarononvich is like “I’m absolutely doubling down on the Daleks being Space Natzis by allying them with Actual, Literal Natzis “Disillusioned” by WWII”

I truly had forgotten how damn trippy and scary this thing gets at the end.

It’s kind of amazing how well this thing starts to shift into headier and headier ideas while also keeping it’s characters going forward and continually charming. I had forgotten that Trillian basically becomes the lead for a bit.

I tell ya, it’s gonna be MIGHTY satisfying seeing(reading) Reacher laying wholesale waste to a township of disgusting nazis who have their own twisted, pathetically sourced doctrine on how society should bend to their wills and prejudices.

By (prompted) popular demand, I’m reading one of the best Dalek stories ever! And it’s my last 50th Anniversary Reprint (that I own anyway) B. A.’s introduction to this too was very charming.

I am REALLY loving all these illustrations

The first Zaphod scene still absolutely kills me.
