The sort of stream of consciousness style it’s got is still taking some getting used to but I’m very intrigued as to what sort of fantasy world it’s about to start really setting up. Right now all we solidly know about are the Twinners and how to “flip” between worlds so I’m very curious to spend more time in Territory

This is still kinda weird but I get why and how now. It totally bounced off me as a kid but it’s hooking me big time as an adult.

It’s very funny to me that Ross is like “I’ve cracked 100 pages! Better introduce a fourth new character that’s not on TV with his own weird gimmick and casual sexism!”

Counter-Earth Collinsport continues to be a real HOOT and a half.

I am in the final movements of this now and while I don’t think it’s the “ultra-super-serious and importantly mature” science fiction it was sold to me as, I can see why people would be super into these.

It’s only really NOW starting to get really interesting as the Imperium is finally being faced with “Xenos” that have direct connection to them. I dunno I love Abnett but this has been kinda basic

I think I might start reading this in tandem with the audiobook copy I have. Kathryn Leigh Scott has such a wonderful reading voice, I’m starting to miss it.

Yeah, sure, Ray, a story about a murderous four month old and another about a guy who gets cucked by his own doppelgänger robot. Why the hell not?!

I truly love that “Collins House” is so weird and huge that they could just add and subtract interiors seemingly at will.

Also this set up is again kinda similar to the first two but the gimmick of these new weirdos and their secret room replicated to look like a Gilded Age hotel room is Good Stuff™️.

I kinda don’t want this to end now.

It’s getting sorta impossible to put this one down now.
