I had totally forgotten just how much this one ripped. Like, obviously I remembered the Tower stuff that’s in this, but the stories before hand have really banged. It’s been neat to rediscover.

The (long) path of the Beam finally continues with a story collection I haven’t read since I was a literal teenager. I had totally forgotten that the introduction is just King charmingly opining the loss of the anthology across all mediums. I had also not realized until picking this back up, there are still SO many of his story collections I haven’t read! Gotta get on em

Yeah, I’m really vibing with this one now. It’s really funny and both leads are so charming, I’m just happy to spend the time with them. I’ve been reading Cool like she’s played by Lindsay from You’re the Worst and I feel like it just makes her even funnier.

I truly love that all these pulp/crime writers had thriving side careers in broadly clever comedy prose.

Cooke just never fucking missed, huh? Also I’m glad they collected #43 here. I wish it was a full silent issue but I’m happy to see it got woven pretty quickly into the trades.

I picked this up from the library today when I was looking for some Perry Masons and it’s fun so far! I don’t know much about these characters but I’m always down for a HCC.

SIX! GUN! WAAARRRRRR! I fucking love this arc. Mainly because it’s basically All-Star Western All-Star Squadron. How can you not love that?!
