This is proving out slightly tinny in regards to its characters of color and it’s depicting of their voices but I’m still having fun with it. I’m into Part III now so I’m guessing some really gnarly stuff is coming.

I always always always forget how goddamn GOOD this opening is.

“Look what those fuckers did to my tattoo, Jabbar, buddy.” I feel like this one is forgetting it’s own gimmick occasionally but stuff like this (and the sudden shocks of genuine terror and gore) make it really hard to write it off completely.

Still vibing with this. I appreciate it actually taking the time to make each variation of the robots scary.

I picked this up randomly on my Libby. I’m only like an hour into it but pretty fun so far! It’s nice to see someone actually injecting menace and verisimilitude into the “World War Z But…” template instead of just fully aping the format with nothing behind it.

Truly love that Moore spends two issues putting over Arcane and making him the scariest fucking thing imaginable. Only for Swampy to immediately rip him in half.

And people say Moore doesn’t understand action!

Just goddamn, y’all.

This continues to be very fun. I also love how Baxter keeps peppering in really cool shoutouts and mentions of other Second Doctor, Zoe, Jamie adventures. But it’s never too inside baseball. It’s really neat.

This is shaping up to be like “What if The Second Doctor, Jaime, and Zoe hung out with the first generation of Belters from The Expanse?” And it RULES.

FINALLY getting to this and already very charmed by it since the author seems to be a fellow Second Doctor and Jamie shipper.

I’ve declared March, The Month of Swamp Thing, so rereading these will be my comic project heading into the summer (maybe nu52 run too) Truly love that Moore takes over the book, literally blows up every remaining story beat for the most part, and then follows up with “Anatomy Lesson”; arguably one of the 100 best single issue comics ever written. It’s astonishing to me every single time I come back to these
