Her advice was turning me off from wanting to finish the book because she explains it in such a way that it doesn’t make feel helpful. More like my mother trying to tell me “everyone goes through this” rather than I hear what you’re saying and sorry you feel that way. Maybe that kind of advice helps others. I’d rather not feel invalidated, but the advice improved some up to 3.5 stars for the overall book.
