My love for badass stealthy ninja-assassins has found a new anchor in Inej. Also scratch what I said earlier. Sometimes I just seem to lose focus midway through the page, but that's not the book's fault. The book is good to me.

I hope it's normal for me to be a tad bit overwhelmed with the amount of characters and namedropping and cultures and whatnot. And I hope it becomes a bit more manageable. Otherwise I'm gonna be a very, very confused individual during the next few hundered pages.

Not quite sure yet what to make of this 'Magic System' and the protagonist's behaviour. Though, I gotta say, I kinda like the idea of someone acting a bit strange [maybe a bit too quippy at times], while at the same time being incredibly meticulous about his notes and research. So... yeah.

I'm just now beginning to realize how much of an impact certain books seem to have on my mood.
I've been reading this for just over a day now [I think. not too sure about that.] and I'm feeling... just... immensely better than I was just a day before. There's just so much that makes me genuienly smile, if not laugh out loud in public.

I'm going to fucking love this, aren't I?
Probably the best choice of book after a depressing rollercoaster of emotions such as 'Skippy Dies'.

Don't know why it's taking me so long to get through this. It's not like it's bad. It just feels like there's so... sooooo much happening.

Also I was kinda hoping for Howard not to be THAT much of an asshole and at least break up with Halley first. Welp.

Nine stars because seeing the picture of an otter and feeling betrayed by it not living inside the picture, thus being untouchable and not directly lovable, is just too fucking relatable.

Up to eight stars now, because the goose story was just a prime example of modern horror and the phrase 'Based on true events'. I was also playing with the idea of giving the eighth star to the thoughts of the simple dog, but I don't think I could justify giving away stars every twenty pages.

Seven stars for the story about depression.

I want to give this book six stars. Just for the phrase "You floor-banana motherfucker".

I don't want to repeat myself unnecessarily, but Syl is literally the impersonation of a bandage you can put on the entire world.

I completely adore Syl. There's never been a better elemental-companion and there never will be. Tinkerbell and Na'Vi [or whatever her name is] are nothing compared to her.

Don't know how I managed to set this book as 'read' after I listened to only the first part. Well, now everything's categorized correctly.

I have no impulse control.

Ah yes, the common theme of the protagonist cutting their hair to a shaggy bob and everyone being perplexed by the concept of purple hair, I see.

It's nice to know that, even in Asgard, there's plenty of gods just being selfish assholes simply because they can.

And Loki. Loki is just... he... I like him.

It's... well... exactly what one would expect.
And I kind of love it.

Honestly, why is Cliff Grosso [?] considered to be a hot guy? Every single part of his description seems... repulsive. On a very fundamental level.

Ja gut, auf den Strassen von Venedig ist das ein wenig unpassend vielleicht. Eventuell. Wenn man schon von der Polizei gesucht wird. Und halt... joah. Aber ist schon sweet.

Also das Prinzip, dass die Charaktere in ihren eigenen Sprachen sprechen, find ich durchaus interessant. Allerdings kann ich kein Spanisch, und muss somit eher raten, was im einen Subplot vor sich geht.

Ach GOTTCHEN hat Monty Probleme. Hab richtiges Mitleid mit diesem Typen, der sich zu schön oder zu stolz oder zu wasweissich ist, um kurz einmal mit seinem Crush zu reden, anstatt sich anderen Menschen an den Hals zu werfen.
Wieso kann man die Geschichte nicht aus der Perspektive von Felicity mitbekommen? Das wäre soooooo viel interessanter!

Ich mein... bin das nur ich, oder definiert sich der Protagonist zu mindestens 80% allein dadurch, dass er in Percy verknallt ist und der ihn doch endlich mal vögeln soll?

Irgendwie... keine Ahnung. Vielleicht liegts auch am Sprecher, aber mich interessiert dieses "Murder Mystery in einem kleinen Dörfchen mit einer primär aus Rentnern bestehenden Bevölkerung" überhaupt nicht. Kann sein, dass mich diese Gattung Dörfchen ohne Privatsphäre nervt.

Mir ist klar, dass das noch irgendwo nen krassen 180-Turn machen soll, aber... meh. Meh. Meh. Meh.

Gut. Ich hab die ersten vier Seiten gelesen und weiss jetzt schon, dümmlich kichernd, dass ich dieses Buch genauso sehr wie die Känguru-Chroniken lieben werde.

Gut, man riecht den kommenden Plottwist schon seit hundert Seiten, aber die Geschichte an sich macht die Vorhersehbarkeit durchaus wett.
Ausserdem weiss ich ja nicht, ob ich richtig liege. Wobeis mich schon sehr wundern würde, wenn nicht.

Ich weiss jetzt schon, dass ich das Buch sehr mögen werde.
[Und wiedermal überrascht mich mein Lesetempo-Wechsel, sobald ich von englischen auf deutsche Bücher wechsle. Like... damn.]

Man will Aza irgendwie durchgehend in den Arm nehmen und trösten/beruhigen. Wobei nein. Das Gegenteil von in-den-Arm-nehmen. Mental Zuversicht vermitteln und ihre regulären Gedanken somit verdrängen wär wohl angebrachter.
