Giving gabriel García Márquez a chance because he’s recommended as being similiar to Carlos Ruiz zafon.. so far this book is more like Paulo Coelho, or murakami. @_@ which is the exactly type of book I do not enjoy @_@

While manacled will always be my Roman Empire DMATMOBIL might be be new favorite favorite dramione fic! It’s the exact mix of of clever/dry humor I like and feeds my weakness for Jane Austen-esque writing… I’m even enjoying the slow burn which I don’t usually cos it feels so earned.

Reading Draco malfoy and the mortifying ordeal of being in love. IVE NEVER READ A FIC SO FAST!! It’s so good! HILARIOUS and punchy. Is the author a doctor or in medical school I wonder. There’s a suspicious amount of highly specific medical-speech in the fic haha. And obviously a comedienne as well cos this fic is OUTRAGEOUS 😆

Eerie to read with auction and all the irl news going on. I hate the overuse of the term fascist but the parallels with this administration are impossible to ignore. Not just trump following the nazi playbook but also the popular rationalization and apathy..

It is 4am and I finally finished the auction!! Overall - so so good. The last few chapters are the weakest unfortunately. I can’t believe I stayed up till 4am reading 3 chapters of straight legal proceedings lol. And no Draco! Things ending at the bookstore is a super cute callback to TRTTD but i wish there were more post reunion scenes. An epilogue would’ve been perfect. Hope she adds it for rose in chains!

Im blasting through this fic. Literally cant put it down!! Julie Soto is a GOD. It really is like manacled but if the characters are allowed to have at least a shred of happiness. And then there’s still the puppy crush elements of TRTTD and all the Easter eggs. I’m really really enjoying this read.

Another day, another book on the Obama list I do not understand…

LOVING the auction. Can’t put it down. I can see why it’s another dramione classic! It’s a similarly dark AU but not nearly as dark and depressing to read as manacled. I think it helped that I read the other AU first and I still see the light hearted and cutesy elements even in the dark AU. Much less actual suffering for D and H as well. Cant wait for the trad published book! Love this author.

This Martha lady is just awful. I don’t think I knew how gradual the nazi policies went into place. Even before 1933. Maybe the isolationist policies made more sense in context. Still insane to look at in hindsight…
