Truth really is stranger than fiction… I don’t think I ever thought about what the Catholic Church was up to during the fascist regime but it’s definitely disheartening to hear most Italians believe the revisionist history that the church stood up against fascism… when it basically enabled it and kept it in power cos both pious popes were short sighted greedy selfish pussy ass bitches.

Dense and heavy read. This pope pious and the entire italian clergy were such little bitches. It’s so hard to read. Also the Ethiopian war. Gut wrenching. Also I learned that “Mussolini is always right” was a popular fascist slogan at the time. YOO I’m actually doing it!! Trying to read l’amica geniale 3 months ago was a bit ambitious. Now that I’m almost 70% through with my grammar book and 5K vocabs down reading is way more productive haha. Yay I’m doing it!
