Finished ATWT. ADORABLE. So fun and funny and the author got the teenage voice down so well. I’m still on the fence if MMC pov fics are worth the trouble. I remember really wanting a xaden POV after fourth wing and iron flame but I didn’t even get though the fourth wing one before I got bored. But now I can finally read the auction!!!!! Scared but excited!!!

Started reading all the wrong things (auction series #2). So far so good. Love the Draco voice for the Draco POV. Beautiful writing like always. I’m highlighting so much more than I did for TRTTD. Some TRTTD confusions are being cleared up. It’s also a really good teaser for auction!! I’m ready to go darrrrrk.

Uh.. what did I just read. Was it allegorical after all?? Or another fever dream book? I don’t think the author was interested in solving any of the mysteries. Was it all just vibes?

Finished TRTTD!! Surprised how fast I binged it. I’m happy but I’m.. confused..? I wonder if the author decided to leave a lot of mysteries to be resolved in the draco POV after she decided to do one cos.. each of the fight/makeup/payoff just made me more confused. I really enjoyed this H characterization. Really enjoyed this read overall. Onto Draco POV and then… THE AUCTION! Scared but really excited!!

Hmmm. What is this communication style @_@ I’m not sure if the payoff is super logical/satisfying? lovesbitca8 doesn’t miss tho I’m sure it will make more sense after I finish/read the Draco pov… still super well written tho. I’m blasting through the fic and it’s so enjoyable to read.

The Leroy Reid story makes 0 sense. That’s complete manipulation! Goes way beyond just simple communication and connection. Makes you wonder.. are super communicators just psychopaths?!

(2/2 Greenlight) The themes were rolled into the bat to beat the readers over the head with to the point where it all became gratuitous and I was not buying anything. The trauma, the love, the dark side of the celebrity and expectation that comes with being a war hero, the toxic relationships, the isolation. None of it. It’s a love story at least the love should be convincing right

(1/2) Done with greenlight. I’m trying to give a more measured review than spamming GREENLIGHT BAD into the gc. I guess it’d be fair to say that the fic was evocative, melancholic, and ruminative. I disagree it’s a good character study because they are all ooc and not even internally consistent. I can see why people say it’s beautifully written - it is. You just really need to be in a particular mood for it.
