This is my first Nathan Heller book and so far I'm really enjoying it. Great audio narration too.

This has been described as YA, but so far I would slide it even further down the scale.

Some good stories here. Only a couple of them seem dated.

Hard to keep up with my reading for all the good shows that are coming on TV now.

On the home stretch now.

Finally, after over 1,000 pages I am getting some emotional connection and edge-of-the-seat suspense.

Reading this to complete my 'classics reading goal' for 2015.

Just finished the included novella "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath". Wow, what a great example of Lovecrafts work.

Getting back to this one and determined to finish the trilogy before the end of the year.

I'm giving Dresden/Butcher another chance after the the mediocre 'Fool Moon'.

Some great stories in here, including 'Beyond the Wall of Sleep' and 'The Doom That Came to Sarnath'

So many names in this book! I would be lost without the reference at the back. Mr Weber sure knows how to weave a good tale though.

Wow, here's a quote that should piss off a lot of people:

“More sports for everyone, group spirit, fun and you don't have to think, eh? Organize and organize and superorganize super-super sports. More cartoons in books. More pictures. The mind drinks less and less.”

I was expecting a slow start to this 800 page monster, but I was sucked in from the first 5 pages.

Came across this audio edition narrated by the author!

Not as interesting or as funny as the first two, but still worth reading.

Very predictable up until the half way point. Now to see what happens after.

Easy reading so keeping ahead of the TV series:)

Glad I started this early as the first episode of the TV show covers about half of this book.

Best Spillane/Collins collaboration I have read. Looking forward to a big ending.

Somebody tried to whack Mike Hammer! I wonder if that's a subtly play on words from the title.

Having trouble getting any enthusiasm to get back to this one. It just seems a slog.

From the romance and relationships angle this is obviously a chick lit book. Pretty good story but I don't think I could read the entire series :)

This book is set in the future and has more of a 'Blade Runner' feel to it that the standard police procedural. A pleasant discovery for me.

This is distracting me from my main reading goal of finishing up the Robin Hobb trilogy:)
