This series is starting to grow on me as good modern day James Bond. Aristocratic British super spy, evil megalomaniac villains, exotic locations and a decent supporting cast.

Lot's of plot holes in the use of magic. Eventually someone spotted the obvious..

Almost 200 pages in and tempted to abandon this one.

I'm having a hard time with the concept of just strapping on a pair of wings lets people fly. I'm 100 pages in and so far the author has provided no explanation.

Another audio book narrated by the author. Hard to resist.

After an initial good start this seems to have got bogged down on character issues.

Wow a massive twist that leaves me wondering what's going to happen in the rest of the book.

Lot's of soul less cannibals, zombies and other assorted bad guys.

For a first novel this is turning out to be pretty good.

The bad guy in this book reminds me of a cross between Davros from Dr. Who and Steve Jobs.

Among the totally impractical techniques there are some good tips and advice here.

A best selling author, a rich computer tycoon a single mother and her daughter and what's now being revealed to be a creepy house. What could possibly go wrong?

Not the best fantasy writer out there but after reading thousands of pages these characters are like fantasy comfort food.

Planning on finishing this series by the end of the year.

This is another audio book narrated by King himself.

Taking the names of London tube stations literally is a stoke of genius.

The authors preferred edition. Read by Gaiman himself on audible :)

Pace of this is accelerating rapidly towards the end.

If your into computers, software and networks this is great thrill ride.

Slowed down a bit in the middle but the pace is picking in the final third.

I'm not sure why there are 2 POV's from two chacters who spend all of their time together, but I am sure it will have some significance in the future.

Also came across a reference that indicates that 'Terminal World' is in the same universe:)

Hooked on this one after the first few chapters. Finally, a book with the scope and imagination of the late Iain M. banks.

Bujold sure knows how to write good characters.

Okay so far but not worthy of all the hype.

Not an easy read, but weird and fascinating.

So far this is reminding me a lot of 'Red Seas Under Red Skies'

While reading this on Sunday, I had a real life experience that mirrored something in the story. Freaked me out!

The story is starting to pick up now. I hope there is a big twist as at the moment there's a guy walking around with a neon arrow over his head that says 'Bad Guy" :)

If she uses the word 'chagrin' one more time I swear this book is going into the LEM pile.
