A new detective, Cotton Hawes, joins the squad of the 87th Precinct. The authors new introduction to this edition contains interesting details of how and why this came about.

Really enjoying these stories as they are written in a variety of styles.

Thank Oyarsa I am almost done with this.

Most of this book is noting but dialog between the three main characters. This gets very tedious after awhile.

100 pages in and this is interesting but makes little sense.

Only 1 day of commute left before the holiday so I'm putting this on hold until next year.

I need to read the next couple of book in this series before the second season of 'The Lost Kingdom' on BBC.

This is making much more sense the 2nd time around.

So far I am enjoying the stories.

Read this many years ago but never went on to the other two books. This time I will complete the trilogy.

A collection is just what I need for the holidays where there will be constant interruptions.

There is more to this story than I first thought. A dramatic change in the tone of the story about half way through.

So far so good although the way it's written is starting to get on my nerves a bit.

A more serious Scalzi (but still with some humor) with an interesting premise.

Almost finished and wondering if an editor actually read this. It's got some inconsistencies that I'm finding really annoying.

Just getting into this and so far I'm liking it.

This started out really strong but almost turned into standard post apocalyptic elements in the middle section. I hope it has a good ending.

Taking time to read this as I'm watching key episodes from the series on DVD as they are discussed in the text.

Several twists in this story, most of which I had not expected.

Another classic I picked up as an Audible Daily Deal.

Some of the writing is a bit awkward but the content is very interesting if your into The Avengers.

Started reading this while waiting at an airport and got totally sucked into the story :)

DCI Jules Maigret is another classic detective the has somehow escaped my attention until now. This is a new translation of the first book published under Simenon's real name.

Re-reading some 2000AD Graphic Novels that I somehow forgot to put into Goodreads the first time around.
