Part 1 or this book was great, really sucked me in. Part 2 was like a medieval Eastenders, lot's of small plots but ultimately nothing happened. Looking to part 3 to drag me back in.

Stacy Keach reading Spillane's Mike Hammer is a win-win right off the bat.

Good setup so far. I can see that this is going to be a testament against sexism and religious ignorance.

Almost done with this. I was Smith's first novel so it doesn't have the polish of his later books, but still good.

Took a bit of time getting into the story but now it's progressing nicely.

This is a drama set in the first days of the gold rush and founding of Johannesburg.

Time to read a good honest SF space opera.

I thought this book was about the Zulu Wars and Rorke's Drift but it seems to be the story of a hero who returns home after Rorke's Drift.

Had a Doctors appointment today and read about 120 pages while waiting!

First book in the classic series. Better than expected so far.

A lazy Sunday and I got more of this book read than expected. Entertaining stuff if you have ever watched TG.

A colleague at work lent me this book after seeing the 'I am the Stig' sticker on my car.

Even though people criticize this book for it's weak story, the narration of the audio book carry this one along.

Exciting story that I need to finish off this week :)

The chapters in this book jump around the timeline, with multiple POV's. One of the POV's is 1st person and the others all 3rd. Sounds confusing but I am loving it.

This was supposed to be my Christmas themed read but I got bogged down with another book and never got to it. Better late than never.

Almost finished and overall I think this is much better than The Wind in the Willows, which I was forced to read in school.

One of my reading goals for 2015 is to catch up on some Urban Paranormal books. This is a good start, easy to read.

Took a bit of time to get into this, but now I am enjoying it.

Nothing like a good Victorian egyptology mystery novel for a bit of light reading.

I had forgotten how easy Howey's books are to read. Just took a peek to see where the story picks up and before I knew it I had read 70 pages.

Even with a week off work I couldn't get through this one. As it's a S&L pick I will try and renew by library loan. If I can't it's going to be a lem.

The science would be great if this was written in the 1940s.

I only have 3 commute days before the end of the year, so this short audio book fits perfectly.

Grabbed the first thing I came to on my shelf to close out the year.

Following on from PowerSat this one is more SF and not just action adventure. Mankind has progressed to large bases and manufacturing on the moon.

Even Jim Dale sounds bored narrating this. I fell asleep twice and had to start over.
