"Perry took a shot to his kidney and growled, waiting for the pain. It didn't hurt as much as it should have. Soren him him again. Perry heard himself laugh". I'm not a writing expert, or even remotely skilled at writing so when something is "off" to me, I can't explain it. I just know it looks "off".

"Soren looked down at the girl. When he looked back at Perry, he stopped walking. It happened too fast, his momentum rocking him up on his toes. He'd changed his mind about something". Who stopped walking, who's momentum? Who changed his mind? Me confused!

"He was farther than she expected, but SHE REALIZED it didn't matter". The author loves the words "she realized". Only 5% in and I've noticed the wording already.

Just started... the audiobook narrator is outstanding though. Her character voices are so good, I swore that there was more than 2 narrators.

I've had both the audiobook and the hardcover of this book for a long time. It's time for me to listen to this book.

"The little creature was the one responsible for the blaze-like he was made of fire or something. I did my best to play it cool. I put on my best 'why yes, I too have summoned fiery man-creatures from beyond' face and kept walking."

OMG.. these sad puppy dog ASPCA ads are killing me.

I'm gonna start my campaign now. Mr. Shier change your cover! Yes, I know all the arguments.. it's easy to notice, thus easy to click on but it really doesn't represent this book.

Loved the bus ride with Rei. I'll share some lines from the book that made me laugh so hard I snorted once I get some work done!

Wow. this is a definite don't judge a book by its cover. This author can write. And even without knowing his background, I guessed he was doing something in medicine (I was right, I looked it up afterwards). Good stuff. I hope it stays this good. I love these hidden gems.

First.. I hate the title! Why... this is stuck in my head. "Mama said there'll be days like this,

Mama said there'll be days like this, There'll be days like this my Mama said(Mama said, mama said)." Other than the title, very interesting start.

When I woke up this morning, I had my Kindle under my head instead of my pillow. I guess I really wanted to read just a bit more. I adore Mickey. He's one of my new favorite characters.

So my kids abandoned me for pizza. jeez... What that meant for me? Reading!!! I'm not sure why but I find pirates so damn sexy. Mickey already makes me smile nonstop.

I already know that I love Mickey from previous books. This one should be VERY good. Can't start until tonight. I have to go kick some teenage ass on Unreal. It's family game night and it is parents against kids!

This book is so sweet, and light, and angelic, and teenagish (yeah, I know...not a word and this is a YA book..i know). However, I find myself addicted to it.

Tucker so saves this book. I'm not a big fan of Christian, Angela, or Jeffrey. It's not that I don't like them, I just don't feel anything for them...dislike and/or like. Just kinda nothing.

I really don't have much to say on this one. It drags but I think that is because of the audiobook.

gonna jump on the ARC reading bandwagon!!!

So not made for audiobook. I turned it off and back on about 5 times yesterday. That is until I almost rear ended a car on the way home. I then gave up and conceded that I need to just finish it or not turn it back on. I think I'm turning into an audiobook snob or something. I want a good story AND a good narrator. What am I thinking?
