Here goes another question... (not science related but "duh" related), June.. you brag so often about being so smart but you don't question why they would have you move up to investigate your own brother's murder? The government controls everything but they all of sudden want "fresh eyes" on the case...ok, ridiculous. Still fun enough to continue even if I'm questioning it to death!

I HAVE to stop reading too much into dystopian books and the science behind everything. I'm not even a science nut or anything. It's just nothing makes sense! I don't know why some books make me go question crazy but this is one of those books!!!!

Short choppy sentences but it works for this book.

So you have the Republic and the Colonies, who are the Patriots? If you have floods, and volcano, how can you have a "decades-old" car "rattle" by. Wouldn't it not run considering the volcano/floods?

I'm carrying the kleenax in anticipation.

So, did I read that correctly, June climbed 15 stories? I gotta go back and reread that, maybe I read it wrong. I think I have the Divergent itch coming on.

So they stormed the castle, bad guy out and the story is not over? hmmmmmmm

So... (I was right btw) "she" (who I won't name so I won't spoil it for others) is discovered/uncovered and now she is untouchable and is someone to be worshipped? hmmmmm... I still don't know about this one character. I love everyone else.

Kaldar and the boys in the Broken shopping at the thrift store was priceless. I love Jack and George and when they are with Kaldar, I find myself highlighting so much of their dialogue..it is THAT much fun.

Ok. I know I figured this one out. 5 grandchildren dead, but 2 are always mentioned. 1 of the 2 is confirmed dead......so that means the other one is not. I want my gold star. If I'm wrong, I'll feel stupid but I'm guessing I'm not wrong. Why would the author always bring up the two but not the others. My question... how can they NOT recognize her? I won't say her name just in case I'm actually right.

Ok, the ole brain of mine is trying to figure all of this out. One question....they never found Isoboe's body (or however you spell it)? I can't remember, and I have the audiobook. I just have my own theories and well, the maybe-undead Isoboe is one of them

I swear this book is the biggest surprise for me. I'm so glad I stuck with it because I sure did want to stop at the first 30% of the book. However, I really wanted the 5 star reviewers to be right and I'm so happy I kept w/ it. I still have issues with Evanjalin, but I believe the author has something up her sleeve regarding her.

I love it. This series is one of my favorites and this book is just making me oh so happy.

oh sad ending.

Yeah I'm hooked on this one. Once dear ole dad became part of the picture, it became much more engaging. Finnikin seems real and human. Still up in the air about Evanjalin. She has too many secrets and I don't like her tactics.

Bad start for this book, full of grammatical errors that even I can catch, confusing change of POV's BUT the story has caught me. Great writer, clearly rushed book but the strength of the story will still make it a good book.

Really liking this one now. It was rough going at the beginning but now Finnikin doesn't make me want to scream!!!

I was going to stop this book AGAIN, it just wasn't working for me. In fact, Finnikin annoyed me. Somewhere around the 20% mark, I started to not only like the story but really like the characters! I'm so happy I didn't stop.

I need to stop this book for now. I'll read it later this month. I'm just disappointed and I want to love the book because I love the overall story. I'm not giving up, I'm just delaying the reading.
