This is hilarious, the regular Wodehouse tropes, but even more OTT than usual.

He's piling it on deep in this one, I can't imagine how he's going to sell a reconciliation, much less a romance between these two.

the prose is fantastic, as expected with Wodehouse, but this seems to be one of his longest books and damn is he taking his time getting on with it.

we haven't even met the male lead yet. and in the past he mocked the female lead's poetry in the newspaper after interviewing her.

Why this chapter so long?

There's more sex scenes than I'd like. By a lot. But they are funny ones, I'll give it that.
