This is definitely good for insomnia, it's exhausting to read. Decided to read it (can't recall if I read it in school) before reading something based on it, and I'm honestly not sure it's worth the effort. It's going to take ages to finish at this rate.

The chapters are a bit too long. At least as of 17% I finally understand which of them the cover is meant to represent. I was so confused because Mr. Green is "tow-headed", and to my gen-x American ear, there is no whiter sounding name than Clem. (Apologies to any irl Clems, but the platonic ideal Clem is from Kentucky, or Tennessee, and and certainly did not get past the 6th grade if formally educated at all.)

It's quite cheesy, tipping occasionally into cringe, and the prose/pacing was wildly unsuitable for that chase scene just now, but... I kinda like it.

Side note: a little heart as the scene break symbol kind of doesn't work so great with Wren's insistence that he hates Leo. Questionable design choice imo.

Ok, chickens mentioned at last. Offscreen, but mentioned.
Note to self: Archer is muscles, not Leo. Somehow assumed Leo was buff jock type, but no. Just tall.
Now... just waiting to see if my theory about the app is correct.

Still no chickens. Wren and Leo are entertaining, but I will be disappointed if the author does not provide a more plausible explanation for how the pair come to be chatting on the anonymous app than random chance.

Need to get more Thornton into the rotation. I'm caught up on Pinx and Henry, but there's plenty of other stuff like these. He hasn't failed me yet.

I don't think I have ever found footnotes annoying and distracting before. They are excessive and almost all just giving standard meanings for common words. Who the hell is this for?

Very good relationship bits, shame about the author trying to jam the wrongest possible interpretation of them down your throat.
