Love the cadence of the writing, but I don't expect it to be as engaging as a modern novel, so we'll take this slow and read it alongside other things.

It confuses my brain when story time lines up w actual time. Holidays, like parents, shouldn't exist in story world. But now it's trying to bore me to death with sex again.

ok, training camp and preseason bit was a nice break from the monotony, and then we got a nice bit of drama with chaz and the whole fuckboi thing. will it last?

Oh, a second tiny spat. These boys need David or Robbie to come teach them how to drama. This is book is literally the length of The Count of Monte Cristo, but with all the plot twists and tension of Richard Scarry's Cars and Trucks and Things That Go! And I'll have you know I spent several minutes on that joke trying to think of a children's book that wasn't MORE dramatic than this. :(
