Zoe reads very autistic, I don't remember noticing that last time, I think I was distracted by her new age thing, but she reminds me of a girl I knew in school.

I've just had no desire to pick this back up the last few days. idk why, but I guess I'll take a break and read something else.

doesn't seem like where the story should be for the halfway point, but oh well. somehow gloomier than the first one too

My second "Dublin Murder Squad" book and we're 2 for 2 in prime suspect running the investigation. lol, I guess it works often enough in cozies why shouldn't she do it in a police procedural.

decided to skip #2 cuz it sounds ridiculous.

3rd - Instead of Evidence - decent, much better than the second one, but not as good as the novel Over My Dead Body

enjoying this. annoyed with the way the text messages are typeset though. i like the inline thing, but why the hell didn't the designer pick a sans with an x height that matches the serif font. looks amateurish. smh

so far so good, surprisingly, given i don't usually like writer protags, but even more surprised this is a mass market pb from 2021! i thot they stopped making mmpbs ages ago

Hmmmm. For the most part this was a 5 star read, but I'm a little WTF at that ending.

so far it's really good. def more intense for me than contemporary ya, but I expect it to be more positive than painful 🤞

well, call me stupid but this is clearly gonna be a bit more emotional than I bargained for. but it also seems like it's gonna be amazing

while I am amused by West's seeming to say James was simultaneously a genius and a particular sort of moron, I am not convinced that continuing this is a good use of my time

End of volume 2.

Needs more chapter breaks. Stopping mid chapter here. Started this the other day and wasn't sure if I'd stick with it. First chpt was beautifully written, but also kinda overwritten. This one feels a bit more relaxed, but still heavy going and I need a rest.
