This is a quick read.

Picking this back up because I want to get it off my currently reading shelf. I’m not loving it. The artwork isn’t lovely. The subject matter is also ugly (Artemisia was a real woman, an excellent artist, who was abused by her teacher in Renaissance Rome), but important. I want to read it for the story. Should be quick.

I love books about books.

The Invasion of Venus, Stephen Baxter - 4 stars

At long last I’ve started this one. I do like Tidhar’a style.

Taking this back up and listening to the very old abridged recording. It’s like listening to a radio play of yore or a scratchy record. But i just want to refresh my memory as to the personal relationships of the characters before moving on to the next book. I’m buddy reading the series, but I’ve already read the first 6 or 7 and so this is a good way to skim, which I can’t really do well.

Finally got this back from the library! Now I can finish it!

I really, really, really want to finish this book by the end of the month. Must skim though.
