He’s not trying to force her into marriage. Her own parents are. And she doesn’t want to say no because she wants the advantages the marriage will provide to her father’s business without going through with it.

I really get where this heroine is coming from but I cannot believe she was that naive. Given all the money her family has, did she really expect to have a say in whom she married? That was the price women paid for being heiresses.

This heroine is quite dreadful:
- doesn’t like dogs
- is manipulative
- is pushing the hero (hard) to marry somebody he would never choose

This heroine is so ridiculous. She’s supposedly anti relationship and then gets married to a stranger within a day of knowing him and then when her rich brother pressures her to annul the marriage, she doesn’t even agree to talk to the guy and freaks out when he picks up the pen. Fucking grow up!

I have to say, I’ve always respected and sort of liked Mordon. With Alex, he’s always acted like a professor with his student. Making Alex think and evaluate things - and so politically savvy!
