Oh lord I was half joking when I wondered if it could get worse. It just did! After the worst love scene in the history of romance, now there’s blackmail! 🤦🏻‍♀️

This is one of the worst love scenes I’ve read. No foreplay and the hero lying down immobile like a corpse. It was so dreadful that I’ tempted to DNF but at the same time, I want to see if it gets worse.

Not even a kiss yet!! This book has a great conflict but for that to manifest, they need to be in a relationship ASAP! At least I was hoping there was going to be some sexing by now.

Almost a third of the book and almost nothing has happened - very little action with paragraphs of internal monologue in between dialogue. The hero is behaving abominably and his sisters are so uncouth, even for today’s standards. Being from Wales doesn’t mean you don’t have manners!

Eek...reading this through Spotify and ran out of minutes before the book was over! Now I need to wait until next month.
