Hahaha Gaston’s descriptions of the angst between Sophie and George are hilarious.

This narration is killing me though. This new narrator has such a different take on some of the characters that it’s extremely distracting.

“Perfectly manicured blond hair” MANICURED? To describe HAIR?? 🫤🫤🫤

There’s so much over the top drama in this book that I’ve been laughing my ass off.

Reading this book about a toxic fandom online gives me so much anxiety. Exactly the reason why I’m not in social media.

I hate stories with fake rape allegations. I know they happen but not as often as women actually getting raped.

I hate books with misleading titles. Besides some oral sex at the beginning, there has been no “pucking”, secret or otherwise. With that title, I expected them to be boning like bunnies!!

One moment, she’s wondering who’s going to clean the apartment for her because she’s never cleaned anything in her life, and the other she wonders why people dismiss her with one look. Oh yes it’s a totally mystery!! 🙄🙄

The ex-boyfriend is totally right. This woman is an airhead. So far she’s named dropped like 20 luxury brands and it’s barely been 15 mins of the audiobook. I guess learning than there’s more to life than partying is the point but still. This will be rough for me. There’s a reason I’ve never seen the Kardashians.

Why is this book so popular? So far, I'm finding the writing really amateurish - the only part that feels true is academia. The rest is so obviously contrived that it pulls you out of the story. And something that bugs me...why do they talk about their fake engagement around other people? Are we supposed to think everybody else is deaf or that they have a bubble around them that doesn't allow others to listen in?

So the bad guy was able to figure out who she was by looking at her once but the hero hasn't yet? Sigh...the beauty of this trope is when the hero knows she's a woman but still lets her believe he thinks she's a guy. Also, there are slight men in the world that don't fight. There are plenty of excuses for her to avoid fighting!

This woman has no sense. They’re under attack! Why can’t she realize now is not the time to go? That’s not difficult to understand!!!

This woman is exhausting! All she’s done so far is complain, complain, complain! “I don’t have a boyfriend, my mom is getting married before me, my house is too big, I can’t get the job I want.”

I like that the deception didn’t go on that long.

I can’t believe that Robin fights off killers but still lets men in her life walk all over her. She should have called Strike to task, tell Morris not to fuck off and threaten Matthew that she’ll investigate him and Sara until she finds out every little thing there is to know about them and share them for the world to see. Let’s see if he likes it then!!

Feel terrible for Wes. He puts his heart on the line over and over and Hudson just stomps on it. He should just give up - so far, Hudson isn’t worth it.

So she thinks the fact that her father wanted her to have the office trumps the fact the other guy has a lease and actually paid rent? (And likely a deposit too.) And she’s not even working, just meeting men! What kind of a professional woman is this, that doesn’t respect contracts?

Gosh the action in this book!!! 🔥🔥I was on the edge of my seat - loving the addition of November and it brings me back to the old times, where Alex was rescuing and making friends with all sorts of creatures.
