I kind of feel like Alpha Flight was created by running through a checklist of character types in the Marvel Superheroes RPG handbook. Altered human? Check. Mutants? Check. Mystical/alien? Check. Technology-enabled? Check. I'm not opposed to this methodology, mind you. I'm all about FASERIP.

It takes at least 1.7 times as much time to read a pre-2000s comic due to the insane amount of dialogue. I kind of miss that. But, I'm also someone whose life philosophy is why use one clear, succinct word when you can use 5 far less clear and succinct words?

I'd say that this is a slam dunk so far, but that's just ridiculous. So, we'll call it a sky hook so far instead.

I appreciate the nod to LOTR, but, for the first time in my life, I find myself NOT wanting to try lembas bread...
